My entry to Elizabeth´s T - a throw back to summer!
Journal, if you care:
Monday: Chaos at work, aw, well, I managed, to-be-teamleader was happy.
Our Mt Everest came to a halt as the project manager simply is not there!
Teamleader gave me a day off (Friday, as Monday is a new public holiday in lower Saxony)!
And sent me out to get Ingo´s bread with the words, "the weather is fine, enjoy!" 😁
Tuesday: Started with heavy rain! I could hear it inside even! Sooo nice.
Next: Translation company drives me nuts.
Customer W grew nuts, too - and after finding out (he´s an MS Word-expert by now) shared his wisdom with me - MEGA-QUICK. Holy-moly, I´m too old for that tempo!
And him: "Don´t be so quick!!!" We´re a funny team!
Learning on the run, now I know where that saying comes from!
2 sessions with D and Ingo went grocery shopping for me, "thank you BIG"!
I could no more...
Wednesday: 07:00 a.m. - got hungry, saw rubbish needs to get out - met neighbor who came home from work.
2 days early, 2 days night, 2 days early shift.
12 days to go, then he is "invalidity pensioner" (we call it "early pensioner").
Why, oh why would one be forced to work like this?! He had no answer, just said it´s proven it costs you 5-7 years of your life.
I once worked 1 week early, 1 week night, 1 week early - and was knackered. I was but 17! Shouldn´t "we" be beyond such stupid concepts by now?!
Teamleader called me twice for help, oh boy, what a day.
FUN with colleague A. He giggled all the time.
I think we all need a break from time to time to just giggle!
We didn´t solve the problem, alas, we had a time-out, like in real life - right? Work and two sessions with D.
Later called an old dude.
Bro´s Birthday! 46!!!! Holy moly!!!! 🎈✨
Thursday: What a day. 10+ hours, knackered.
Not even power for sport.
Somehow it seems I always share my middle monitor and everybody watches me working, it´s stress.
It´s homemade stress - others - when they share - stay calm and sometimes it takes them a long time to deliver. They just don´t care we all look on.
Dinner: No more than a thin slice of buttered, salted bread.
Ingo wanted to cook burgers but I was ... too tired for that. Or go to the brewery for a Bratwurst. No, just let me sit.
Friday: Day off, yipeeee!!!! SO needed.
We had the burgers... We shared one for lunch, one for dinner and MY. They were yummy!!! We also had a yummy beer at Guido´s and listened to their beautiful Sicilian language.
Weekend:
Saturday: Went early to EDEKA to get everything for my baking-galore - this oven needs at least 10 minutes to heat up, so I made three dishes: Onion-cake, lasagna and pizza muffins.
Jiggle the different time-stamps, alas, why am I doing this? More self-made stress. But I enjoyed it.
With Adriano in my ear.
Fun was: I was waiting in line for breadrolls. A man threw his bag in a trolley on the way in.
The woman stopped the trolley and looked in... astonishment. The man did, too.
Then he laughed - we all did! This white haired lady was NOT his wife!
His wife was behind her, also white-haired!
I forgot some stuff, went to the store nearby and saw two men laughing, pointing, looked, had no cam with me but joined and later came back for the pic.
It this to laugh or cry about?
Just lift the bike and take it.
Boy, dumbness hurts!!!
Other...
We had a misunderstanding, Ingo and I - I have no idea.
Sunday: Die Maus and fairy tale, some sketching.
Food-wise:
Work is but on the run atm.
Henry 🦁
Lucky ones who have this...
Hope we get it all sorted out, life and job...
We work on it.

Your drawings showing impressions of each day are really expressive and fun to see.
best... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I love the drawing of you knackered at your desk.
I remember working early shift at the checkout, from opening time at 6am to just before lunch, but never changed between early and late, always just early because I could walk there. When I moved here I had to change and do middle of the day shift, then I retired. One of my sons does "night" shift, from 2pm to 10pm.
Mae, thank you :-)

River, really? Me... not so much. I was really "fix und fertig"!
Here it was ... puhh, let me think. 06:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. and the 02:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. or 04... to.. I don´t remember. Loooong ago.
Ingo at times has to do night shifts, the also go till 10:00 p.m. plus the driving from Salzgitter to Braunschweig. And then the endless search for a place to park your car!
Horrible.
Why do we do this?
...enjoy all of the warm days that you can.
18C today!!!! Sadly (or luckily 9 loads of work (luckily)).
Quick bloggy-break - better than a "ciggie"-break)
Weather is still pretty warm but we have had some foggy days. As long as you can laugh at work, it helps.
We (nearly) always find something to laugh about :-)
Life... figuring it out.. i think we are all trying to do that.. Some days yes , some days no.. I guess the important thing is we keep trying... Enjoyed your post Iris.. Wishing you better less stress days.. Happy T day ! Hugs! deb
Your drawings always make me smile. I am so in love with them. My calendar is bland cmpared tpo your fun day to day entries. Sorry there uis so much stress, though.
Your coconut drink looks good, but I learned I am allergic to coconut, so must be careful what I eat and drink. Thanks fpr sharing your week pf wonderful drawings and your coconut drink with us for T this week, dear.
Another busy week, glad you had some sunshine 😊. We had some sunny warm days last week too and we volunteered at a local beer festival which was fun but the late nights were so tiring, guess I'm getting older ...lol! Glad you had a good week even though it was exhausting at times. Take care and happy T Day wishes! Hugs Jo x
Parking bikes is more complicated than some people realize lol
Happy T Tuesday!
deb, thank you - didn´t work out today. I lost a monitor thanks to a stupid update.
____
Elizabeth, your days are filled with fun, as far as I see it! And useful work, too!!
I never jus#dged anyone (I was in court, though, once. Due to an idiot-lady)
OH! I am sorry, dear, coconut is so yummy!
____
Jo, that sounds... fun and tiring with the festival - LOL we´re getting old!!
But we won´t give up, right, happy T-Day and hugs!
Very informative post Iris. Yes, we all need to stop and laugh everyday. My mom use to say that. Your jobs seems difficult to me. I would not want people watching me work. eeekkk... Lots a great looking food. It has been raining here for a week. I will not complain about the rain. We need it so badly here. Have a great day today.
Nicole, one gets a wee bit used to others watch you work (I will always hate that!!!)
Anyways, to a good new week (yesterday was a public holiday, feels like Monday)
It is good that you can laugh with the people you work with. Stress seems to be the new pandemic. Laugh with Ingo.
No heat here sadly, my friend in NL said they were getting 22C whaaa? I made "raw" onion cake one time and it had to "not cook" for 24 hours, the whole house smelled of onion for days lol. That bike, duh, no vertical thinking for that guy. Love your pages again this week. Happy T Day!
Statt 1. November? Ist das bundesweit oder nur Niedersachsen? Ich glaube, meine Tochter hatte heute (1.11.) Feiertag - sie lebt jetzt in Münster, also NRW. Ich wünsche dir etwas weniger Stress!
RedPat, I wish.
____
Elle, WHAT did you do for that onion-cake-making?!
I fried them for... 25 minutes os such!
22C, oh, lovely! xx
____
"LOL".
Ach, Stress gehört wohll dazu. Wir machen uns den selbst mit Fehlplanung.
Jedenfalls in diesem Projekt....
Fun journal drawings. I need a nap after reading about your week. Take care and Happy T Day
I love teading and seeing your drawings in the journal. I felt like the person with their head down on the computer desk, I had one of those days today.
I see lots of food drawings in your journal Iris. I'm waiting for dinner and it's making me hungry. Your knackered drawing made me smile. And you could link up some food drawings to AJJ this month-just saying. You certainly don't need to start using ephemera. I hope you had a great T day. Hugs-Erika
Your breakfast looks delicious and I am loving all your food journaling.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
The cycle pic was a welcome break!
CJ, yes, it was a tough week ;-)
____
Bill, there are days like that, huh.
____
Erika, LOL, sorry for making you hungry;-)
I had to look up ephemera! I´ll pop in and see what you all do, maybe I can try.
If I´m not knackered again. We need to deliver come December 1st and it´s all at stake. But, you are right, work is not everything, hugs!
____
Kate, thank you :-)
____
magiceye, I wonder if the owner was able to get it back or if someone took it, if just "for fun"!
Iris, it was a raw food recipe which meant it had to be "cooked" at a low temperature in a dehydrator, but because of that, it was cooking for over 24 hours. Not very practical, never made it again after that lol
I love your drawings Iris very much and I love coconut drinks too.
sorry I am late for T our fiber all went down-phone-internet-tv late monday night just got hooked back up. so playing catch up now hugs from the lake.
Coconut milk is good as is Coconut water, I am allergic to dairy so I use the Coconut milk in my cups of tea.
It's so nice to finally catch up with you, Iris! I love the journal drawings and coconut is a favorite (though I've never had any to drink!) I'll have to try it!
