In Emden the guys are tough! He looks quite relaxed, don´t you think?
Since last Emden-post seemingly did not bore you to death and since Ingo asked when I will have finished this so I can show you part two of our trip... here comes an East-Frisian pic-galore of the historic region in Lower Saxony, that hopefully makes you smile and get more at Annie´s Smiles.

Back at the Birthday-Boy. Emden is just 30 minutes from Holland and we got served their beer:
Much better than the sweet cake which we shared the smallest slice of out of courtesy.
And back to the hotel, accompanied for half way by the Brother:

Back at he hotel, as we are not that tough...

Love the statue of the girl with the fishes and the Henry knocker. I also liked the buoy. You found some great things to photograph in Enden. Your can of cola is well done, and is perfect for FFO, dear Iris.

I think I would be in the room with my feet on the radiator also. Thankfully in August it will be warmer and you can enjoy it fully.
It all looks very lovely and you found some interesting things to photograph, but I don't like being that cold.

Looks like there's lots to see there, is beer from Holland different from German beer?
Emden seems like a lovely place, though a bit cold, I noticed. So I know "Frisian" as a beautiful horse from Holland that we have many of over here (USA). I am assuming this is where they come from which makes it even more interesting to me. Your pictures are awesome ... the Old Buoy is amazing especially seeing how much is usually under water and not seen. The statue is beautiful ... is she metallic or is she just painted in a metallic paint? Whichever, she is gorgeous. I chuckled at your outside art. My Brother-in-law is a Civil engineer and designs power towers ... I don't think he considers it art, but in reality, it is :) And always glad to see Henry :) Hope your are able to get warmed up, Iris. The air in Emden just looks cold.
