I´m a bit lazy today and leave you with these cuties.
Ingo was still living in Rhüden when after a BBQ I put the plates inside to find (speaking of lazy) the next morno a poor bat under one.
Ingo took the poor fella and hung it in a tree.
He/she managed to cling there and later the cutie pie was gone, hopeflly safe!

If I see them in Australia, I feel home! But here in Germany I can't see them ( so tiny), but can hear them with my bat detector :-) Was fun!

Their fur is soft. So sweet.
Good that they are taken care of.
I like bats. Unfortunately here most of our native bats are gone due to the white fuzzy nose fungi. It doesn't hurt the bats directly, but messes them up so they come out in the winter and can't stay warm. I only saw one last summer and I used to see so many. Too bad too because not only are they cute, but they help so much with the bugs at night. I like this post Iris. Thanks for sharing. hugs-Erika

I love bats. A few years ago I found in my garden a young bat that had fallen from its nest. After giving him some milk, I took him to the bats center in Rome.
The day after I bought two bat nests that I placed under the roof.
I love bats!!! They are so good for our world and so misunderstood. Great videos.
The videos were blocked on my computer, possibly because I'm not on facebook.
I've never seen one live and that's ok.
I'm fine, not adding them to my life!
I've never ever seen one but apparently we have native ones here.
Thanks for the cute bat movies. I like batrs, and so does my youngest. We have no flying foxes (calkled flying dogs in Danish ;) ) only normal brown ones around. That baby-bat was adorable!
I like bats, we have a large colony living near the zoo, you walk past and they are hanging in the trees by the hundreds, there are signs everywhere to not walk directly under the trees because the bat poop can make you sick and more signs saying do not feed the bats. Last I heard the colony had some sort of health problem that could be transmitted to humans. I remember taking photos of them hanging, I should find it and post it one day.
In my previous home I was outside just at sunset and saw a small colony of tiny bats swooping and darting, getting insects, right in my front yard, but only once and never again.

River, ohhhh. In Millstream Chichester NP we saw colonies, too. Luckily healthy ones. Sad if a a .. .when a whole colony gets sick... hope for a better summer next year to meet ours again!
