Let´s Visit The 70´s And Go ...

The other day I did some clean out and found these, either my Mum or Dad brought home (they got presented with a journey from SEIKO-watches for good selling and had to take turns as one had to stay home leading the business).

These are:

Small and yes, I´m in the pic on purpose, with my monitor glasses.
Who brings that as pressie, I think it was my Dad 😍

We were still kids, certainly, he also brought the kimonos:

Need to take a note?

I think this was from my Mum 😉

Genes are a funny thing, aren´t they?
I turn mostly after my Dad.
The romance, though, went to my Bro - who takes a lot after Mum.
I got Mum´s sense of practical things.

With the bunch I also found this "phone-book" my parents gave to customers:

To me the 70´s were happy, innocent times. Full of color, freedom, new things were special.
Somehow I think these days we just "expect" progress, back then it was magic (to me).

Oh, if we could travel - we will again - right?

Henry 🦁

Wish we could... travel... being warm, safe, have water and food is more important right now, so memory-travel should do.. and wish and hope for a free future... 🌻💙💛

Off to ESE / Alstom soon, a mini-travel.

Evil, Go Away

Monday they showed pics of destroyed Russian Tanks in Ukraine.
Good.
Good? Those soldiers didn´t deserve death, they join this club  on wrong premisses.
I so hope this "club" will be destroyed NOW.

Yes, we need...

This is for Tom´s Signs2 and I hope for good ones soon! 🌻💙💛

To peace!

Wednesday @ Kathy

This is super-mega-yummy (to me) - let me tell ya!!!

What you need:
  • What you have  😂
OK, in this case:
  • I had left over rice
  • left over pepper
  • old carrots
  • a super-old banana, brown on the outside already
  • Gouda cheese
  • broth
  • chili
  • curry
  • chicken breast

Before you start:

Visit your butcher and ask for a piece of high quality, fresh chicken breast.
Cut in stripes, cover it with dried chili, fry. Put on the lid, so the meat needs no turning upside down too soon.

Add rice, pepper, carrots, more chili  (the rice eats up spices again).
Add broth.
After a while add banana and cheese, cover, let simmer, enjoy 😂

Easy-peasy, fast.
The banana goes so well with the chili and cheese, I had a second helping!!

Repeated this a bit differently (see "what you have") and Ingo wanted some, too, saying it smelled so yummy, when he came inside.

So, next time no oil but lard, so he can join.

Henry 🦁

Come on, you´re sweet yourself, big boy!
If you´d like to see the Wednesday Signs2 by Tom you can look here.

T Stands For Trains

So far my workplace is empty, apart from the laptop - space to give the Faber a go - and I tried to be patient, too.
And I wanted to see how they do on brown paper - good, I think.

Certainly I forgot the "h" and the Singer didn´t want to join properly, either. Aw, well.
Ingo likes it better than the original but said he wouldn´t put it past me. Hm. Some compliment that is!

And the journal, if you like:

Monday: I kinda went back to school via ESE: Basics of rail transport.
So boring, but a test at the end, uh-oh.
Phew, I passed (module 1!!! Out of 6 - SIX).

Was I happy to take off in the bright sun to get Ingo´s bread, later finished the book P recommended, was interesting and I take some advice into my life.
Sport with "DE", as Detlef calls himself, too.

Tuesday: Even worse, mathematics and physics, luckily, before any of you holds the breath: they did not test on details and I passed two more tests.
Boy, I am too old for this. System technology. And the tutor speaks in a way you nearly fall asleep.

More energy for Detlef DE and I started  a new book - actually Ingo wanted to read it, but, aw, well... It´s about how the German politics went wrong with Corinna. So far I knew, but this man brings out even more.

Wednesday: Railroad switches, shunting, brakes, tests passed.
T said: "why not start at Deutsche Bahn directly 😅"

P sent me a cute pic of her black cat, Emy, and said Alstom looks for BID managers!!!
If I can change from Document- to BID-manager she wants to join me 😁
This would be so much fun (she is fed up with the Durban-project and said she misses me).

Sport with the DE, 2000-calorie-mark done.

Thursday: More boring tutorials, tests passed, then e-mail - the ESE-laptop is ready, if I´d like to pick it up.
YES, away from railway, a walk in the sun :-)
Got some goodies aka gear for the coming two monitors and headset.
Sport again.

Friday: Norms, norms, norms - and the tutor speaks in such a boring, monotone manner, it really is a pain.
I needed to cook, as Ingo had left another old banana. Since he does not like the meat I cook to death I used oil.
And certainly: Ingo said it smells so yummy, he wants to try. Who would ever expect that?
So, next time I´ll use lard. Recipe tomorrow at Kathy´s Wednesday, if you are interested.

Sport against the boring day.

Weekend: Let´s talk logic, shall we?
Ingo made ...

 And then.. in oil (!)...

Fatty and yummy, far from healthy and why the heck does his body accept this but cook fish in one TS oil and he´s sick two weeks.

Sunday we had...

At least my work-brekkie gets healthier :-)

And Ingo´s work-food - I prepare this every evening since he takes off at 05:a.m.:

 Henry 🦁

Hope the Ukrainian people get a chance to feel bored soon, as in ... no more bombs, no more war 🌻💙💛 Take a deep breath and then rebuild.

ALL Ways

As  I took you the last two days to "the land Down Under", where our dear host lives, I return, how about that?

Pics taken by my Hubby, Ingo. We´re not Siamese twins and there are always days we  explore the Perth area on our own.
I do enjoy that. How about you? On your own does not mean alone, right, and sometimes I have friends with me, too (or rather they take me along 😘).

This is Joondalup.

Corinna will not stop us forever, right.
We will learn to live with her!
What do the cards show?

So, what do we have?

 Oh, and...

Because...

 ... but...

Henry 🦁

Let us dream we can go back.
Oh, where to start?
The bus stop in Madeley, of course. Raise your arm and the driver stops.
Get off in Warwick and take the train to... Joondalup, or the other direction, Perth, or even further and met our host.
This, btw certainly is for Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.

And, yipeeee, we´re in summer-time (wish we could just stay here!!!) 🌞

In my heart, as in all our hearts... 🌻💙💛

Addendum: It´s summer-time, not summer, right now 3C / 37F, brrrr.
