T STands For Near HearT ATTack

Here you see Ingo playing with his new toy,his beer long empty and me...still at it.
With this I join Elizabeth's T, of course.

The journal. Let me tell you... pay a buck more for proper pencils...!

Monday: First time we were able to really watch the Super Bowl!
We are fans but not so crazy to stay up all night in Germany and take a day off.
But in Perth it was morno!
19:16 for SF in minute 1:53 with a 40 yards field goal!!!
Luckily we did not fancy a team, we might be near a heart attack!
6 seconds - field goal KS - 19:19.
END OF REGULATION! First in 48 games!!!
For non-footy-fans:This is 48 YEARS!
Coin toss!!!! Another FULL quarter to play!!!
Nearly interception by KC...!!!
Later 3 seconds and TOUCHDOWN KC - seven longest game in history!  And we were to watch!!!!
3rd time in row, too, for KC!!!

Later CBD, Ingo  got a TG-7, also. In red, too.
Another kid's meal shared, was too much.

Tuesday: Freo and it's prison, post to come.
The Crime Tour as we'd seen the inside twice.
The guide asked if I need a break and Ingo thought I'd pass out.

It's like when I was out of work. I think I am OK and to others I look "bad", weird.

Wednesday: Lazy day at home.
Wrote some postcards. Trip to BigW and Woolies... the little things.

And, weird. Self-checkout: Detergent, check, kitchen-knive: assistance required!!!
She had to confirm we are age 18+!!!!

Bread for free from the reception along with a nice chat.

To those who say: why that crappy Caravan Park: Kookaburras wake us up, it smells of eucalyptus whilst watering, the ravens keep us entertained. and magpies chat along.
Or, short: Our HOME since 1999 💕

Thursday: 43C/109F, too much for our cabin, BOOM, dark again. 5 times.
I insisted on going to Hillarys for a swim. Ingo went very fast on foot. I felt my face and legs burning from the inside.
I have too much of my Dad's genes, he felt too hot at 23C/73F already...
I should've gone on my own at my own pace and I would've been fine!!

Ingo did not join the water but I met two older men. One jumped right in, the other and I .... step by painful step, until he looked me in the eye: "three, two, one.... GO!" - and in we were.
Such a joy to really SWIM again!
We had a beer and then the long awaited licorice ice-cream. What.a.disappointment!

Friday: I was sick. Never run in the heat. Sad  Ingo needed to "make a point".
I CAN stand the heat- when I go slow.Like EVERYBODY ELSE!

Weekend:Saturday: Grace & Pat picked us up and we headed to Sami and Jose for two lasagnas (one for the 5 of us and a special one for Ingo, made in ghee instead of oil).
Yummy, then fresh fruit with cream along with wine, beer and nice chats!

Sunday: Got up at 4:00 to follow Grace's tip and sit outside.
Lesson learned: Kookaburras sleep in on Sundays! And, yes, I caught a cold in the heatwave.
Sneezing, coughing and I need loads of tissues, too.
Taylor Swift-mania here (she has three shows in Melbourne). One scene was cute: a little girl was brought to her, she talked to her, gave her a hug and put her hat on her head. Happiest little girl I've ever seen.
Went to ALDI. Germany is better, BUT: I got self-raising flour!
Yes, people! Self-raising flour is still not available in Germany!!! I want to see it's magic, not do on my own...

Munch-wise a chicken I let rest on the table outside for hours:

It came hot from Woolies like this:

Just like 1995, Darwin: We used to buy four small spinach-cheese pies, ate two, put two in the car by the front window, were still hot for the night!

8-something, sun down, brought out the trash. Like walking through an oven still.
I feel for those without aircon and in tents!

The AIR had 43C/109F. The BITUMEN gives you much more...
Sami heard in the news without trees it throws back 40C! Small trees here, say,75/167 altogether. You.get. grilled. She lives here since the '80s and cannot remember a February so hot.
Be careful what you wish for! I wished for warm, hot-ish weather, but not this...

Henry's 🦁  alter Perth-ego,the Black Swan 🐣:

 Happy T-Day....

T-STands For ChaoTic

A tad too sweet, but a warming drink with which I join Elizabeth´s T.
And, as you can see, teapot always ready, yikes, glad summer starts next week for us!!! I am sick of the cold!

The journal:

Monday: LOL. Saw C - with whom I had a project - is online shortly after 06:00 a.m.
Thought he is at the customer and wondered why he is "green" in ESE-teams, contacted him.
Kaboom, he called, added W, nice long chat - socializing, right?
THAT is a good start to the week! 🥰
Sadly both confirmed Alstom Salzgitter is in big trouble...
Later looong chat with fK. And also J has had it with mK now.
It´s Kindergarten with him. It´s J´s "ball" now. I do as told and don´t waste brain into this anymore.
Bro called again 🥰

Tuesday: fK and admin T (aT) tried to help me with my trouble with mK (who started all over causing troubles).
Nobody likes him, it is weird. No one stands up against him, either.
aT found VERY clear words (he knows him personally, too).
fK said, that´s what friends are for and I just do know without questioning anymore, except... executive H said, "WHY did you do that? It´s IT´s job!!!" So at least "high up" someone is aware of the nonsense that dude mK causes.
I SO want ESE to keep me I need to explain myself. Right? mK pretends he is dead still.
Kindy! He has no guts.

Wrote to fK: "Boah, such a waste of time!!" - autocorrect made it "Bochum, such a waste of time!!" 🤣

Bochum is a mining-town in the west near Düsseldorf. LOL! My T found the book "Autocorrect-Fails" and will give it back to me - happy times to come!" Herbert Grönemeyer is one of the very few German singers/songwriters I really like.

Ingo let me know there is a docu on the MV Gustloff. 2000 people the ship was supposed to take.

In the weird WWII they wanted to  take 8000+.
In the end 10 000 they took.
"The Russians" knew there were refugees on her and shot her to sink.
Biggest tragedy in ship history,  6 times more people than on the titanic.
My Granma had decided: We stick together in the frickin´ cold with the Russians on the way and wait for the next ship, this one is full.
Go figure. I learned this in a side-note.
Thanks to her wisdom I exist.

Wednesday: fK and aT (admin T) gave me advise on how to handle mK again, we changed the course.
aT: "Do it NOW. Else it will bug you all afternoon!"  - "Nah, I´ll watch 'Ghost Whisperer' in the original :-)" - "Oh, the one with Jennifer Love Hewitt?"
I LOVE men who watch and admit they do watch such "women-stuff". Same with Gilmore Girls (Ingo liked, too), also he likes truffle. And Keanu Reaves. He must be my secret Brother! It´s the one who takes care of Great-Granpa, aka my Aussie-Lenovo.
Did I ever mention I love my work and colleagues (minus one)?

Thursday: aT and fK really do care in so many ways! Not only because of stupid mK, aT knows my cam broke and really tries to find me a good one for Perth!
Doorbell.
I admit!!!! It´s cold, I´m in my grey PJs with the white and pink hearts again.
Doorbell!!! Where are my jeans?????? Panic-mode. Biberpost.
Doorbell!!! What the heck does Ingo order all the time?" Postman, two packages!
I am ALWAYS afraid now a police officer will stand there, tell me to get dressed and out as the house is on fire!!!! Or worse, a firefighter!
Summer, please, I want summer, then I´m properly in a skirt!
I should always grab purse and keys and phone when the doorbell rings - or is that too much panic?
fK had a very important work-date and kept me up to date - we are there for each other. She said she likes to be my friend 🥰
aT asked when I´m at aab16 - I think Germans like abbreviations? 😉
aab16 stands for "Am Alten Bahnhof 16", where our company sits.

Friday: Got a lot done at work, had a nice chat with fK, with aT.
Ingo went to the city and when he was out the door I thought, "gaaaaah! I should´ve asked for a dish from NAMASTE!".
Phone, Ingo, "want something from NAMASTE?" - Best birthday-pressie ever! Not only because it was yummy, but because it shows: Ingo cares!
Bro called, later Bro again with the Nieces, too.

Ingo also said he hopes I do not snore - last time I snored so slow he was wondering how I can breathe that long 🤣 Embarrassing and funny. Obviously I´m sportive with huge lungs.

Weekend: Saturday: INGO!!!!! Phone: "now what would you like from NAMASTE? I hand you over to the chef." - Boom, I talk to them personally via phone!!
Am I thankful there was/is COVID and I hence learned to communicate without seeing people, even if they have an accent! It was just a mini-accent, but... I´m really not good with that (hello Australia, here we come 😉)
Finally made it to Cathy´s blog and she made me remember this bitter-sweet fairy tale "The little girl with the matchsticks", as we both took part in Rain´s theme (I had this).

Sunday: Slept in. Soooo tired these days. Think it´s the fear of the fire-seminar and the journey to Perth itself. It costs so much energy.
So literally all I did was watching Löwenzahn and Die Maus, doing the journal and preparing food for Ingo. Oh, and took care of bank-stuff.
Reckon your Sunday was better, at least I had still food from NAMSTE!

Art-wise...

 I´ll take this to Perth.

No promise, but if I feel like it, I´ll join you :-)

Clever concept, don´t you think?

Henry 🦁

It is ridiculous, I was never ever so nervous to travel!
Wish me luck all goes well and have a happy T-Day!
Deutsche Bahn (railway) will be on strike from tomorrow on for a week!

T STands For To Summer STill

My ticket to Elizabeth´s T from The Taco Guys (bye-bye, see here, if you like, big buhuuuu...).

The journal:

Monday: Work and then BALCONY-time! It warmed up, time for watercolors outside!
Only 1 training-session.

Tuesday: Work (colleague K called me again) and then BALCONY-time! still warm, 28C/82F, time for watercolors outside! Then BBQ and then...

I wanted to pay our cabin in Perth. Transfer fee is 1.99%!!! So I asked if I can transfer a small amount (to Sami again, it´s complicated again!) and pay the rest from there via credit card directly. Ingo thankfully remembered that was the way 2019, too.
We assume German Government accuses us per se of money washing and hence the high fee...
And yes. We had a Westpac-account in Australia.
Fees went through the roof, so we canceled it. Yes. I admit. I think my money is safer there than here.

SUMMER - BALCONY - SKETCHING - BBQ - no training.

Wednesday: Polish colleague K called me. If all is OK or if I need help? How nice is that!!
Then in his harsh, German accent and this superfast speech showed and explained for over 30 minutes what he does in his other project.
Hm... why? He is nice, but it´s really exhausting, also cause everything looks different as he has (thankfully!!!!) the English (not Polish) version.
So, I was late for ex-teamleader T with WhatsApp, and explained.
Him: "Maybe you are his teamleader 🤔" (as a joke)
Oh, boy, did I miss something??🤣

SUMMER - BALCONY - SKETCHING - sadly no BBQ as Ingo was unwell, only one session of training.

Lost places on TV again, the whole evening with "Tom Selleck".

21:21/ 09:21 p.m. - 27C / 80F still!!! Sadly mossies.

Thursday: Good day at work. Finally - why ever - my bank let me transfer the cabin-money to Sami. One huge point off my list!
29C / 84F, yippeeeeee - SUMMER, balcony-time, BBQ, chatting - only one session of sport also cause...
Lost Places!

Friday: Got a lot done with the redesign-job, nearly didn´t realize when the 8 hours were done! Fridays Ingo is home early - with a Henry this time (spoiled me... again. Think I need a tag for that...)!!!!

Ingo kept quiet, so I just worked on...
And later I got another Henry, see here (#Magnifest).
SUMMER, carousel, yum food and drink, gazillion of pics taken. Did I mention SUMMER
Took nearly 100 pics, yikes!
One wasp... far away from us.
No training. Keeping up with Ingo counts as that!

Weekend: Saturday: Ingo´d bought me a hat a while ago. A kid´s summer hat.
He sewed it down to my size as I lost it at the slightest gush of wind. I´m an adult. He needed to make it smaller. The German word is "Schrumpfkopf"... I have a "shrinked head". Brain thankfully works normal.

Magnifest again, it was plain wonderful. And yummy. Met some Brazilian guys. Sounded like Polish to me! Languages are weird.

Sunday: Lazy day. Die Maus, fairy tale and getting ready for a new week.

My childhood-hero Armin is still working for Die Maus 😍

If you are interested, Wiki says:
"Armin Maiwald (born 23 January 1940) is a German author, television director and producer. Maiwald is one of the founders of the award-winning German children's television program, Die Sendung mit der Maus. Often just called Die Maus ("The Mouse"), the program has been on the air since March 1971 and is one of the most successful children's television programs ever produced. Maiwald has won over 50 awards for his work."
My hero.

Food-wise:

This was Saturday.
Ingo asked to get the burger cut in half, as we share.
Stall-dude:

"Is extra."

WT...????
Was a joke, of course!
Was very yummy, yet... cannot wait for our first Grill´d burger in Perth!

Wherever you are... would you like to click the Grill´d link, please, and let me know if you can access the site?
Germany is blocked!
Also for Transperth!
Just what is going on here???

Art-wise...

Soon, Freo....

Henry 🦁

Yesterday in the news - something I have NEVER heard before:
"Too warm for the season".

Oh. Doesn´t Henry´s fur look so soft you wanna cuddle him?

T STands For Back Says Thanks

My ticket to Elizabeth´s T - Ingo came home with this - as kids we had that as powder and added water... or...
A couple of years ago there was a cool ad:

A young man sits on a wall, licking the powder. Out of nowhere future-man pops up and explains, "you can ask me ONE question!" - dude looks wide-eyed and blurts out, "how cool is that?!". Future man thinks it over and replies, "REALLY cool."
And is gone.

The journal:

Monday: What a start. Glasses dirty > cleaning > surface has failures (in both!).
Bro´ll take care.
Ingo pops in, the Cabin sent an e-mail, off to private PC to take care.
Back to work PC (that´s seven steps/same room)... K´d called! I call back, nothing. Hang up. 30 secs later, K calls.
And it´s not even 09 in the Monday morning!
How was your start to the week?
K called again and said the meeting I held Friday was great 😃
Talked to admin T... way over worktime! He said I should drive a car again. He is right...
09:23 pm, still 18C outside.

Tuesday: More CV-translating at work.
And a quarter "pan-pizza" for lunch. YUM. Got real Italian ready to go-dough for that!

I hope they keep the product despite the language(s)!

Evening: X-files. They even translate TIME to German (16:51 instead of 04:51pm on a sign).

2 sessions of training (a slow start). My back yelled "thank you!!!!"

Wednesday: Started with Dietrich´s CV, he was born 1944. Wow, he must love his job! Reminded me of a bus driver I met 2006 in Perth. He was 76 years old and worked as it was fun for him (I had to ask him when to hop off). He even sang to me!!!

3 sessions of training.
Lost places all evening on TV, Ingo let me know. We sadly get it translated, but the narrator is the German voice of Tom Selleck. Did I mention sexy male voices last T-Day? 😉

Thursday: Got a cardbox with mantras-cards I forgot about. First card: write down three things you are thankful for and that make this day special.
I am very thankful I am allowed to work from home and with great colleagues.
And I am thankful I started working when COVID was in full blast so I still have all the gear needed for free. Both makes every workday special.
And #3: Tonight is "The War with Grandpa" with Robert De Niro on TV. Sadly in German but I look forward to it.
Boy, my life is so exciting!... not ;-)
Oh. I defrosted the freezer and cleaned it.

4 sessions of training.

Friday: Went to EDEKA. It was rather cool and I´d forgotten my camera.
Towards me came a woman cycling in a summer dress. Her lips the reddest red and she wore a 1920´s hat! We smiled big at each other. And I kept smiling on for minutes. Nearly forgot to mention, but then read Cloudia´s post.
So sad the picture is but in my mind now.

Found out the Taco Guys close!!! They will make burgers. As if we don´t have enough burger stores...

4 sessions of training.

Weekend: Saturday: Went to the city in a t-shirt!!! Nearly became a theft, bought tons of food and too many books (post to come). And College Football was not translated.

Sunday:
Lazy. Löwenzahn, Maus and the most boring yet interesting fairy tale you could´ve shortened to 15 minutes - we both agreed!
Does it happen to you, also? Same thoughts at the same time?
Crazy how we think alike. Hairy-canary-time again (Ingo cut my hair, me his).

Art-wise...

Henry 🦁

29C / 84F expected today! Not really hot but comphy! Yippeeeee....
