Mini-Holiday: The End (Is it?)

Last Tuesday we took another route home, via Bückeburg, where you find Germany´s only heli-museum, the Hubschraubermuseum Bückeburg.
Let me tell you. It was frickin´ cold inside.

Let me also quickly show you around, the highlight will follow on Monday, though!
But this is interesting as well.
Imagine it´s cold and you wear but thin (aka wrong) clothes... and join us:

For the love to my Mum I went on a heli flight with her.
It.Was.Terrible! So, no, thank you Ingo, even if it was warm I would not want to take a seat....
Do you enjoy such flights?

 A real weird one:

Nothing I want to learn, either:

Awww. Look:

... and at times helpful:

... or a bit quirky:

... or like a bit... crazy?

... not to forget cute:

Yes, this toy was on display, as well!

Henry, as I see it... all you can is drop through the branches.
Let´s take "off" on Monday with this!

Oh, AND!

Can you believe another month has sped by?!
Say hi to April:

We All Need To & Six-Thirty

Mural taken on westerly Ring-Area in Braunschweig, painted by students and long destroyed, sadly... Tolerance... in real life, too?

Six-Thirty´s lady has some idea on this, which I find...
Hm. If you just pop in on Mondays here is a short explanation:

This book is about a female scientist in Chemistry in the 1960´s - it was a man´s world!
And she fought for it becoming a human, an equal world.

A stray dog was following her one day, she didn´t notice. Her boyfriend looked out the window and pointed at it, she thought he wants to know the time, it was Six-Thirty in the afternoon and hence she named the dog like that :-)

She fights her way through to women being accepted in the man´s world in a funny, semi-scientist way, very well written!

Today:

It should say "kids", agreed?

And here goes (shortcuts to the essential):

I´m No Kid. Or... Am I?

Maybe you know about my eating habits.
This pic was taken in Husum, I guess, before Ingo got sick, hence he has an adult meal, me a kid´s one, hence I got that little flag (and a beer!!!!).

Some other time...

.... and a beer!

People always say there are meals for adults, kids, retirees and you have to "qualify".
But if you ask nicely you get what you want or you can share.
Be nice, that´s the "trick", simple as that.

Here I got an adult´s meal but just had a weee piece of that icky Rollmops and only because Ingo kept asking me to try (örgs!!!)

This red stuff, nice and warm, steaming, Labskaus, is what my Mum ate on the boat from a barf bag on her way to work to "shock" tourists :-)

Bro says I refer to our parents too often, but hey. Labskaus always makes me laugh and think of her.
Usually here the beet root doesn´t go in but is a side dish, btw.
One time there was a lot of stress and I was allowed in the kitchen hence. Mum asked me to finish the dish and I put the beet root in. Dad refused the meal at first and I was banned again. No kidding. Ask my Brother.

But, luckily... aren´t we all kids inside a bit?

Do you like Rollmops???

Dad didn´t like fish but he liked these.... brrr... where´s the logic???

Prrrruhhhh (A Horse)

Well, I will never say (yet?) this is a common sight for me, but despite I walked here more than once I only found the "muse" to take a pic, so Perthies, you might skip or enjoy, to non-Perthies this is Hay Street:
Why is the store superdry, means cheap?

I don't know if "Prrrruhhhh" sounds like a horse to you, to me it does. Hay, horse.... yum (choose which one, I take the latter ;-)...)

Such a different way to "ours"...

I am aware these two carry all the weight, yet... they look to me as if... you know?

Yes, they help London Court exist!

I still find it funny that Australia still is so deeply connected to Great Britain.
But maybe that is due to rather bad memories I had with my ex in that country...

Yet, see, good memories since a long time here (thankful and happy)!

Let Us Pass Through

Crikey, you cannot run away from life.
When yesterday Ingo said, "how about Pizza tonight" I said... "Noooooo, are you crazy?!"

I mean, seriously?
I love that Pizza.
But. It´s cold!!!!

Pic proves, I´m a rational person, we overran our neighbour who was on the way to the city with a friend, too. Used to the cold, hence slow.... I "ran"!
Icky, I hate winter, deeply!

I had this in mind, near the WA-museum:

Yes, at times I think in murals ;-)
I´m a wolf, haha...

Can you imagine.
Just yesterday I had this for brekky and lunch...

... bought right around the corner of these murals.

I wish it was easier for us to join this gallery.
The fella from Gifhorn who works in Joondalup and wanted to contact us... never heard of him again (no surprise)...

Well, on a lighter note...
Ingo wants to go to the city. It´s 2C, plus.
(Still eeeeek, cold!)
Will say Hi to Henry, that´s worth it, no?

Ways To Cope

Maybe you know this statue, it´s kinda reassuring those visiting Pinarroo Valley Memorial Park (cemetery).

I wanted to visit this place since Grace and Sami described it as beautiful and when cool - rather early or late - there are kangaroos all over.

It was cool yesterday.
Yes, this is a cemetery - beautiful, no?

This sight of a graveyard you won´t find in Germany, not allowed.

Or even this!

Yesterday five years ago our Mum lost her fight against cancer.
It was the right day to go to this place yesterday.

They even give Christmas Crackers to their loved ones....

Swimming in the lakes and ponds is not allowed (there is a sign even!), yet we found these...

Cause... must´ve happened, peeps fall in, no wonder!

When we came around this corner we really weren´t sure.
That´s not... is it? No, can´t be!!!

That´s not a barbie-area, no?!

Phew, no!
The more expensive ones.
Guess Aussies have some humor, no?

So many ways to put up your loved ones.
We saw just the dates, creative backgrounds, pictures... I liked this one:

We also saw ducks and birds and... roo-poo but no roos.

I said to Ingo, aww, well, we know how roos look like, huh, and Ingo added, "and taste like" - true, matey!

Mum sure´d loved this one.

As long as you´re in our hearts and minds you´re still around, Mum, I miss ya.
Wish we had such cemeteries to enjoy back home.
Five years.
And a day, you would add, ha-ha.
