The journal:
Monday: I am sorry I have to start with this, but it is to share...
Since 2022 he should´ve been gone. 2022!
She was on training for dental technician, spoke German, was integrated... #shortage of skilled workers - such a young life, gone for nothing.. .
TV-News: an Iraqi pushed a 16-year-old Ukrainian girl (a refugee for real) in front of a train. She died.
We should all give a thank you to ex-chancellor Angela Merkel...
The man was actually "long" to leave Germany, but, hey, "all refugees welcome" and do what you like.
GOOD NEWS: I have the bogie!!!!
They asked if I know what this is.
In a sec: "Laufdrehgestell"! (and I speak fast)
Test me...
I am back at ALSTOM!!!!
Them: "We come from BOMBARDIER, if you know..."
Me: "My Hubby presented me with a mini as ASLTOM didn´t have any..." I sent following pic.
I think (with Ingo and fK) I won BIG!!!
Met so many colleagues at ESE, it was like "coming home".
And yes. At age 53 I am a trainee...
Tuesday: ALSTOM-teams-meeting was good, but you need patience. Austrians speak so slow! And that accent... Mediocre, as they know I am German but still. As fK says "easy, anybody can do..."
Another I admire is Udo Jürgens. He sang about how life really begins at age 66:
One day I´d like to go as he did: Wiki: "On 21 December 2014, Udo Jürgens collapsed unconscious during a walk.."
See here, if you like, we dressed up big!!!!
Dieter...."at age 99"...(he turned 90 last Friday).
Just have a look how he dances! He performed that song for the first time just recently, in this video had to check the text. Wow. And now my brain sings... "mit 99 Jahren..."... "Survival of the fittest", it´s a great song!
Yah, wonderful.
The instruction from ESE for Outlook was "old" - now my admin has my private number as I needed his help. What a start...
Wednesday: Nothing special. A bit learning, grocery shopping and making pizza sauce with Adriano Celentano on the BOSE. Well, and Pan-Pizza.
Thursday: Back for real at ESE-laptop. My, difficult to work with but one monitor and then such a small one, too!
Friday: 05:36 a.m. - such heavy rain - no TV!!!! Oh, I LOVE such rain ...
Later Maggi-Fest, more tomorrow...
Weekend: Saturday: A day to better forget.
When my Brother was on the way my maternal Grandmother moved in with us to help taking care, parents working full time. My paternal one left us when I was 6 months old.
I never had a Granddad. Paternal passed when Dad was only 14, maternal made it out of Russian captivity and passed soon after.
The first he met was my then 4-year old Mom.
He called her by her name, my Grandma told me.
She ran away, screaming in fear.
He had grown a long read beard, was very skinny and she did not recognize him.
Quite a welcome...
In kindy I made a friend and when visiting met her Grandpa. I did not know men can grow old, too and was afraid...
My Grandmother, when we were old enough moved back to Pinneberg, near Hamburg.
She had 14 Grandchildren, most living in the area.
The only ones visiting: Bro and I from far away, 250 km.
When she passed I had to forbid Bro to attend the funeral.
He said, "anyone crying and I..." - I knew he would! He was into martial arts back then.
So I can only say: GRANDMA´S DAY.
I have no idea who took this pic, Dad, likely... Bro and I were dressed like twins.
Ingo´s parents named their first boxer (as in dog) after her, that was confusing (they did not know my Grandma)!
"Das wollen wir uns bedenken"...
