Signs....

So....

Taken at Maggi-Fest. Yes, we love this stuff so much, we have a whole weekend each first-of-September-week to celebrate!

That is what my SIL thought! She looked at me as if I was crazy... I later presented her with a mini-bottle - she was not amused.

Of course it is the Magnifest that takes place in quarter Magni.

As the music is always superloud we went early for burger and beer only, though.

We went to...

Founded 1883 they were a huge brewery, closed 1977 and re-opened 2017 as craft beer brewery, you can read more here (German).
We had CRABS (CRAft beer BraunSchweig), though and nice chats with the young people (OMG did I write this, "young people"?!).
One of the girls turned 30 that Sunday and told us about her time in Sydney.

This is for Tom´s Signs2. And here is a real bummer for you:

The internet series:

"Germany to scare: 30 ruins of days long gone

Hi#ler's Olympic Village, Berlin

When the first televised Summer Olympics took place in Berlin in 1936, the whole world watched. The sporting event became a Na#i propaganda tool, with Jewish and Black athletes actively discouraged from participating. The purpose-built Olympic complex was ironically nicknamed the "Village of Peace" by Hi#ler and was taken over by his army after the Games.

After World War II, the site was used by the Soviet Army until 1994, when it was abandoned. There are currently plans for partial development of the disused site."

T STands For Hey, LeT´s STrip!

Hi, I´m a (fake) coffee-drink, Latte Macchiato STYLE, my name. I´m high in protein, whatever that really means...
.

...I strip for ya. My coat goes to paper-waste and my body to plastic.
Recycling is my second name and I join Elizabeth´s T with myself.
I like this concept

And what a coincidence!!!! "I" strip for a Birthday Event!!!
12 years TSFT!!!!! 🥰🥳🥳🥳🥳
I remember I was pretty lost when I stumbled into the party. Lost my job, was desperate and found all the nice people here - one shared her week like I do now, too... it helps me not to lose my mind as the days rush by like crazy. To camaraderie!

Thank you, dear Elizabeth, for offering and hosting this weekly event!

Said journal:

Monday: Did some mini-training, checked: 3 tests passed, went grocery shopping and had a wonderful morning-stroll in light summer rain, ohhhhh, bliss, what a start to the new week!

Then the test. A pain. Will take  longer.

Weather... Sunshine, suddenly pitch-dark, heavy rain and thunder, then thunder, sunshine and mild rain, bliss#2! Got a heart for that.

Flixbus and Flixtrain to/fro Dortmund booked. I hate to take public transport by myself (Perth is OK, but Germany... chaos).
And yes. ESE is daughter of DB, Deutsche Bahn, but really... I want to arrive, in time and with working a/c... So Flix it is!

Tuesday: Aaaand back to the Middle Ages.
Men have to, women may join the German Bundeswehr (aka army). Equal rights only when "we" want to... (glad I am too old anyways).

Cute news: A cat-mama brought her kitten to the vet. Baby had an eye-infection, was treated and mama left with the baby afterwards. Awww... A vet by heart!!
Hotel booked. I hate  being alone in a hotel.

Watched Wonder on TV (aka in German). Moving.

Wednesday: Cold.

Ingo unwell, does not really eat, severe back-pain, goes to work, sleeps.
One more test done and uploaded.
Bit training on my side.

Thursday: Ingo went to doc, 07:30. Was back 15 minutes later. They take him. Monday afternoon. Thank you, Germany. Your health system is down the drain.
Only the rich get treated at once...

Friday: Ingo stayed home, in pain, can hardly eat, it all goes together with the back pain.
Studies go well so far - 10 tests uploaded - no response whatsoever. Strange.
Sun came out > balcony-reading-time, yippee.

Weekend: Saturday: Cold and dark. Went to the pharmacy for Ingo to get a different medication, then to REWE to get him yogurt. Outside: rain. Yippeeee! All stood under the roof, waiting for the rain to stop, I happily, slowly enjoyed my way home. I´m not made of sugar, cam is waterproof. Met W. He´s standing in an insecure way but will not give up his bicycle. I´m worried. Told me does back training daily except Sundays, and is pain free.

Later went to  shoot a mural (see here) and on the way back...

Sunday: Die Maus, Ingo could finally eat, and the very sweet fairy tale. Weather: Shitty.
Said a sad good-bye to The Golden Girls. First time I saw the final episodes.

Munchy... fitting to the not-so-summerly weather...

The  internet-series:
(I´ve learned that some of you think these are my words, my opinion, but it is from the internet and I think it´s interesting. so I share.

"33 retro dishes that are rarely served today

 Mutton chops

Meaty mutton chops, traditionally basted with gravy and served on the bone, were a restaurant bestseller in the 20th century. One of the most famous places to eat them was Keens Steakhouse in New York. However, lamb has since replaced chops as a dish almost everywhere."

I never had this - you?

Aw, well. Am I glad we look forward visiting Perth!!!
Happy T-Day!

In Warm Drizzle

 ... and in River Oker!

I love such weather, too. No sunscreen needed, my cam is waterproof...
Also yesterday, went grocery shopping and when I came out: Rain. Well, my new watch is waterproof as well, so....

Dunno why everybody (!!!) hid, I happily, slowly enjoyed the rather short walk home.
OK, after a while I didn´t see much, lucky those who don´t need glasses and no, my contact-times are over.
Ingo, "is it raining?"...

Later went out again, on the way back saw this pluovile who took it to the next level:

 Fresh grapefruit

Today, you'd probably be quite surprised if you were served half a grapefruit with a shiny cocktail cherry on top at a restaurant. However, in the 1960s and 1970s, this was a common and popular appetizer, offered on the menu alongside options like prawn cocktail, melon, or even fruit juice—perhaps as a counterbalance to the otherwise rather rich fare of the time."

The Sun Is Here

Today I join Rain´s Thursday Art and Dinner Date with  ... well...  SUN!

Did you know in German the Sun is female and the Moon is male?

To a German maybe the Sun is the one who cheers you up like a Mama and the Moon is strong and protects you at night from the monsters.
Same with cars.... in German: Male. English, French... other way round.
Either way:

For the dinner-part... in 36C / 97F I first had this...

There were strawberries, mango, apple, grape, kiwi, cooled to refresh you, to let you appreciate a wonderful Summer´s day

Yummy and oh.... cows, sheep, chicken... they are like people, individuals, some caring, some mean, some leading, some following, some getting along with people and even coming for help.

Their way of nutrition, if left to them is healthy varying. They have families and friends. They protect each other and play. Some are introvert and keep by themselves.

Rosamund Young gave another wonderful book  about the animals on her farm who are allowed to roam free.

For the actual dinner:

Yummy green salad, cherry-tomatoes, Greek olives with pip (as Jamie recommends), cucumber, mozzarella, a very light drizzle of sesame oil and as experiment "vegan tuna".
Sadly smells fishier than real tuna, so... glad I had it in an extra bowl! Don´t try this!

The series
"Things that are misrepresented in films

Silencers make shots silent

Even the Hollywood version of a silencer is a lie! A real one can never completely silence a shot.

 To a wonderful time!
