Monday: Sunday I made tomato-/pizza sauce, hence Monday needed to buy stuff to make a pizza (oh, the logic in life, huh).
Was early, tried to take a shortcut and... ran into FUN candy!
Not into sweets, but love licorice and tend to fall for creative fun stuff!
Tuesday: Work, book, Pizza and WhatsApp with Bro.
He sent me a happy pic of the Nieces standing on our parent´s grave after delivering flowers to remember our Dad leaving us 20 years ago.
To them "Opi" is up there and who knows what Bro told them but to them death is a part of living and no reason to cry (yet).
Good job, Bro!
Wednesday: Booooy. We needed patience at work, it all took like forever, the network was more than slow.
N called it "the circle of death", LOL
So glad we can take most with humor!

Thursday: One of the most exhausting days at work at ALSTOM (so far).
Again I had to share (I think I even offered!!! ?!!) - we had network problems again, so I suggested I download to "my" PC, local.
Didn´t help. Called help (I have a people-network by now, yippee - the shy me!!!).
AB was willing to step in, suggested after a while I delete, I asked back three times, yes, do. It´s local.
Nahhhhh. ONEDRIVE!!!
The MASTER-document was gone, I nearly got a heart attack!!!
Salzgitter, Barcelona.... no one can work, ahhhhh, and MY name is on it!!!
Luckily we are early birds and got it back before the 9-5-peeps started.
It went all on badly all day long. 3 people trying unsuccessfully to clean up a mess.
But there was jokes and laughter anyways.
Pizza, salad, book on balcony. Temps down to 27C/80F - a huge drop, I put on a sweater.
Friday: "And today it´s clear, partly cloudy", the shark explains.
"clear" in German is "heiter" and a shark is a "Hai" so they made it "haiter"... yes, I fall for such stuff.
Teamleader M and I spontanously put the cam on.

Weekend: For a change we odered food.
Was OK.
Die Maus visited Perth.

How strange - I had a licorice craving last week too, just out of the blue. "Henry Goode's soft eating licorice" yummy. I would love to join you with your journal but I have two daily challenges at the moment and not enough time :( I also like your bird house, same no birds visited. Germany often has crappy summers... so, yes, sad but normal.

aaah, I feel all the summer here despite yours not being quite like it should! When I was in France we had a similar beer/lemonade mix that is called Panaché - very refreshing.

You are the only person I know who likes the heat. Even 80 F is too hot for me. Give me 60 F/15 C and I would be happy to live in that world any day.
I love your calendar pages and was sad to read how your system was down. Glad you got it back and glad you didn't actually delete anything that couldn't be saved. You sure ate a lot of pizza and licorice. Blueberries sound good, too.

Ah Radler - I miss that. Simply the best when it's hot or after a long hike. I'm glad that you did get your heat even though it's much cooler now. If the heat is just a rarity it's understandable to like it. If it's around to stay - not so much. Oh, the Maus visited Perth? I guess you were a happy watcher! What is Küstenwolken? It looks like Weingummi, but maybe it's also licorice? I'm not a fan of it, but my husband and daughter like it as well.

I studied science at university and in our class there were about 20 women out of 150 people. The smartest person of us all was a woman which took the guys by surprise.
haha I stocked up on licorice last week, three bags! Just in case they decide to raise the prices (currently £1 each). I will check the library for this book. Thanks!

I love your diary drawings. Yes, I love Radler too. We know a restaurant that has it on tap (not in a bottle) and that tastes even better.
I am also a licorice fan. In Holland we love salted licorice or salmiak licorice. We can't get that here. Here only sweet licorice. But our Danish friends are coming the first week of August. (they live next door) and they always bring me some licorice that I like.
I love those 'new' German words like verschlimmbessern and haiter. Such fun.
