Got up at 05, checked on you guys, 06 started to work till 06:55 and took off grocery shopping.
As if I was in Perth, let me tell you, it was bliss!
A hot summer-morning!
Yet, certainly this is Braunschweig and whilst waiting for the cars to pop through I took pic above for you and certainly when "he" arrived...
"Stromabnehmer", pffft...., your name is panto!
On the way back I heard a true Perth-noise... the bus we always wait for in Madely...
07:16 and it´s hot.
Oh, can´t life be like this always?
You say, no, you would not appreciate it anymore!
Yes, I would. Every single day.
I went through enough nasty Autumns and Winters in my life.
This is life:
Spanish colleague P went a bit harsh, I was in cc and ... well, told him so, suggested to not use the word error but ask to clarify.
He was thankful for my tip.
Later in a meeting I moaned over darn Sharepoint, "isn´t there a program to extract all files, with origin, so we can be more effective and still stick to darn Sharepoint?"
Silence. I thought my mike was off, but no.
Teamleader N, "yes, 'thank you'. And what will you do over the weekend?! 😉 - OK, I´ll write a macro."
Also the other day I saw what they did on HiDrive and asked why not have the same structure we have in darn Sharepoint?
No answer but doing by N, murmuring, "yes, you are right." - I am the only woman and it does not matter, good ideas are accepted, I´m but "one of them".
Said, wouldn´t it be good to have kind of a handbook (I will have to go in action if both are not there) - N: "Yes - C, do that!".
I think at some point they may "hate" me - kidding - (I am am also the "youngest").
Let me tell you, I´m afraid.
This is too good to be true.
I am but external and officially the contract ends September...
There is a chance they keep me... wish me luck, please.
Whilst in the meeting the reminder for the next already popped up.
And with that we come to "Worse-Like"...
Spanish colleague P wrote from his cell in Barcelona:
The day before in the news they showed a train in Spain rushing through fire - both sides. Portugal - many a fire, too, even Britain... It´s scary.
Here in Europe we are not used to this.
Everything is so dry, fires have an easy job.
We all skipped the later meeting and instead I had some balcony-time:
Sooo refreshing!
And again. I was the only person outside!!!
How?!
King Frog and I enjoyed.
A great book (kindle). Sadly done, I think I´ll bring it to you bit by bit.
I usually don´t read novels.
But this one could be a true story and I bet there were persons - female persons - around like that in the 1950´s fighting so men accept my opinion these days just like that.
Henry 🦁
You have wings, Henry? Oh, thank you, summer is here, I stay home!

I think they will keep you, you are so helpful with great ideas too and you know the languages. Will you write the Handbook?
I so hope they keep me.
I´m responsible for phases 1-4 and this is 5, I just need to fill up in case N&C are not there, so C writes the book, phew :-)
Love Those Summer Shoes My Dear - Travel On
Cheers
Thank you, will do as long as I can! Temps sadly "down" to 24C/75F, but still summer, so: Cheers on that!
I wouldn't mind Summer weather all the time. Just like you, I've had enough of nasty Winters. We saw the train passing through the fires on either side on the news. Very scary.
Yes to both! In such a train I think I would panic!
I hope they keep you at your job, you're an important asset and are good at what you do. 41C, way too hot, you're talking hell weather. :)
Thank you, Bill. 26C, I´m wearing a jumper ;-) - not even kidding. It´s a drop of nearly 20C!
That is too hot for me. Here we get the hot weather with high humidity so it is really uncomfortable.
You are doing so well at work that they will have to keep you after September.
Redpat, it sadly cooled down to 27C/80F - a huge drop - I put on a jumper, eeeek.
Yes, I soooo hope they keep me. The team is so great.
I've been hearing about the very hot weather in Europe and worried about people. So glad you love the hot weather. You would like living in my neck of the woods for sure!
In Europe, runways are buckling and railroad tracks are bending from the heat. Thankfully, I have AC, or I would die. I know you love it, but my body isn't built for it, since I once had heat stroke and now must be careful to not overheat.
I think they will keep you because you are vital to them.
Give me the cold of winter. Any time.
Spare Parts and Pics... I´d LOVE to live in your place indeed! The temps and the amazing structures!!

Elizabeth, yes, streets bump up and all, since years!
I am sorry to leaarn about the heat stroke.
As my Brother would put it, I´m a small light on the cake, but I hope for the best, job-wise...

William... WILL.DO!!! Hope it works!
Sad about the fires in Europe. You've had an hectic day. Stay safe and hydrated.
Oh, it was a good day, actually :-)
Not at all boring at least :-)
