Today I join Rain´s Thursday Art and Dinner Date with Bees.
I hope for many this year! I will plant plants for them this weekend.
Which will be easy as fK has a car, we went to the nursery, I got fresh earth, she showed me how to separate the strawberry-plants, took one container to her home - I have waaaay too many as these dudes grow like crazy and there was even room for this:
This, according to the sign is "Spanish lavender with Italian roots".Yes, on a work-day! We can decide when we want to work! She said, too, one could come around the corner with all the money they like, she wants to stay at ESE (they pay very good on top). See, why I want to go back?
I proved over 3 years I really do work from home, there is trust! Start somewhere new: Office it would be! As many cheated, they know I do not. I worked in the office half a day, other ALWAYS from home. Pure luxury!!!!
Well, let the bees pop by!
For the dinner, actually this was three meals!
... with sweet potato, lentils, beetroot, hummus, very yummy.

That IS a very cool car. I've seen plenty of movies from those times and most have a beach party in them. Sometimes at night with a big fire on the sand and toasting marshmallows, with maybe potatoes wrapped in foil and baking at the edges of the fire.
i like your idea of planting for bees. "no-one" planned a hive and bought the structure, but then something happened so the bees were not available. My other daughter also had a hive and got some honey, but then the bees all died. Now she just has lots of bees visiting her flower beds.
I bet Erika would happily share her experience with bee hives.
Beach parties sound so wonderful!!! Ingo gave me an mp3 with beach-noises and I have a DVD (somewhere) with a fireplace by the ocean - must look for that!

I grow lavender for the bees too, Iris.
Your bees are very cute. I saw a fat bumble bee buzzing around the yard the other day. Good luck with your strawberries and other plants on the balcony. The lavender is going to smell so nice.
