The Lille Blue Man
We´re back in Rotto, at the big mural by Robert Jenkins.
After the fish was helping him he decided to take a little boat, obviously, and then even tried to catch the poor fella?
If anyone knows the real story, please let me know!
Something must´ve gone wrong, as the fish is "a tad" bigger, so the lille blue man had to find another solution?
He managed to reach land and there...
He catches up to the lille blue man...
Let´s see next Monday what happened then...
Taking part again in Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.

Mahna Mahna and Pöpcørn - On Life
Guess most of you know this.
I laughed about it when my parents "parked" me in front of the telly by myself, thinking The Muppet´s Show was a show for kids - so sad even today adults/parents in Germany think The Simpsons is a kid´s show.
I do not "blame" my parents, back then it was about growing your business, making a financially safe life (no different, actually, to what my Brother now goes through!!!).
I loved the Swedish Chef.. I think even this was translated to German!
The two old pops at the end?
I certainly never got their American, to German translated, politics-related jokes, either!
Well, long story short.
As an adult now I at first enjoyed "Mahna Mahna" - but what tells it once you´re not a kid anymore?
To be like a kid!
The two pink ladies - in my interpretation - "have to" perform a song.
Mahna Mahna "has his lines in it" , too.
But he finds joy!
He goes over his lines, he "freaks out" - out of joy in the singing, in life.
They tell him off with looks, but...
Freddie has a talent to show you!
"Don´t stop me now"!!!
Why are we stopped from loving life so often?
Yes, I see a point. Some Turkish people having guns, firing like crazy, "celebrating" a marriage in narrow residential areas or on highways, "parking" their cars there even!!! - they have to be stopped (from doing that!!!!).
But then... do they celebrate or test German boundaries?
Apart from such issues... no one should be stopped singing his soul out by joy (or mourning or even anger or rage).
My opinion, how´s yours?
In the aftermath "Mahna Mahna" is a sad statement, known and showed in 1969, and now I feel a tad ashamed I laughed, but then.. I was a 4-year-old when it came to Germany in the 70´s...
It is still funny to listen to, as it´s joyful and maybe my Mum was right and I´m a pessimist? (I see myself as a realist).
Did you watch the Muppet´s Show? Were you old enough to understand?
Do you watch The Simpsons? ;-)
I just think: We should enjoy more, we have one Earth, yes - and we also have but one life, too.
And...
Time waits for nobody!!!
I try to leave you with this, if you joined me so far:
I hope for many more (but you never know)...
It´s...
.... a hard life (at times) - see, why I love this man?
He lived life to the fullest, he was ... Freddie, generous! (Like Ingo, if I might add).
Never forgot a birthday, none, not even of those cleaning his loo and here Ingo cleans the loo! (It´s said, I certainly sadly was never there).
You have to take a chance in life!!!
(also his range of vocals here, big WOW)
Lion of the day:
They are still great, but lost their name to "New Yorker", a stupid shop, who is their sponsor now...
We haven´t been to any game this year, they don´t feel like "home" anymore, time took it away to the "New Yorker Lions"... :-(

Well, Hello Then, Autumn
Autumn is here, Chestnuts go naked now (brrr - to be fair: Ingo thinks this is a special chestnut, though... what is the point in not getting undressed (when you´re a chestnut)).
Anyhows, Autumn shows his (beautiful) face:
(no, the leaves protect me - a bit and sorry for an earworm, eventually!)
Why I put "beautiful" into "()"?
Spring and especially Summer, those are the times I am happy.
Yet... I certainly love rain and Autumn promises (and really gives it), too.
Soon (?) Christmas lights will make this darn time of the year a little easier.
Maybe even romantic - do you decorate?
Either way...
And even the Lion of the day says so!
To all of you being in Spring now: Enjoy and pretty please share :-)

A One-Person Person
We do recycle. Like crazy, actually.
(Paper, plastic, batteries, glass, bottles (takes forever), compost, clothes, you name it).
It takes time and space!! Space.
So often containers are full to the brim and you have to keep this stuff, too!
We have no children.
We have four Nieces/Nephews (two boys, two girls) from Ingo´s side and two Nieces from my side of the family.
Yes, we do take care, we have but one Earth.
It hurts to see how some countries produce waste and waste and waste and we put our time into recycling.
Greta now really hits the world.
She hit Germany months ago, making kids skip school every (!!!!) Friday.
Greta was 15 years of age when "she" started this campaign.
I could go on forever about the various types of Autism, how a cute face can influence people rather than an "ugly" one.
About telling your kid what to say (Greta...) - about not being informed correctly (a boat that needs a whole crew that has to fly to the US to bring it back? Taking off in wrong weather etc...etc).
About making money with your child!
YES. We need to take care, we have but this planet but we also need to think, each and every one for himself.
We have to use our brain.
Our very own brain.
This girl is used by her parents.
Yes, she speaks by.. or for herself.
But what does protesting do, where is progress when all you do is skip school each Friday (here in Germany and I don´t know where else),...
...leave (here) tons of rubbish whilst protesting against ruining the planet (!!!) instead of putting it on the weekend and sitting down to find solutions - yes, I can talk, I have no solution, either!!!
But it drives me nuts that such a girl is used for this.
I agree, though, that awareness is more than just neccessary!
Just... not that much here?
What else can we do in Germany?
Solution (and this is what I am fighting for in my little world!!!):
Let people have a work-place near their home!!!
Our "very wise" (irony here) Chancellor Merkel wants to make people pay more money for fuel.
Great idea.
Fly in a plane back and fro for no reason all the time (hello video-chat) and make people, who HAVE to drive 40+km to work and go back home another 40+km pay evenmore!!!
T just said it took him one hour to get to work as there was an accident.
I once spent 3 hours 45 minutes for 40km due to an accident.
Time, life-time, money, GAS is wasted. Why not get involved in an accident and end up paralyzed? Or worse. You have a family, fine. Pay more, but when I argue I wanna work in the town I live in I am told "it´s expected these days that you drive to your workplace".
The title?
Greta might be under her parent´s
I feel a tad related.
Cash out.
BY GOLLY.
A pain.
People coming way too near... will it be faster when they´re on my back?
If Ingo is with me I go first and I keep a distance to the person in front.
I cannot say I don´t mind if Ingo comes near.
I am a "One-Person Person", Ingo complains so often I come too near.
Especially in summer (is it age, my body turns into an oven, LOL).
Ingo can never, ever come too near to me but complete strangers freak me out.
One.
We are one people.
Skipping school every Friday is not the solution, why not sit down every Friday and think of what would help "safe" this planet?
And also Greta hopefully is back to school and off of her parent´s grip soon (sorry, this is my opinion - how mature have you been at age 15-16? They make money of her and she has no clue (yet also helped arise awareness)).
Sorry, rant over.
But here in Germany we hear of Greta every time the family comes up with... "something stupid".
Schools threaten parents to take money if the kids don´t attend on Fridays. As far as I know in America even police can come and grab your child for not going to school - and this is every Friday since months.
If I care I can move "my butt on the street" on a Saturday as well!
Now the rant is really over, sorry, it moves me!!!
Lion of the day:
Please don´t hate me, this is my way to show I care, also for Greta...
On being invited I join Tom´s Willy Nilly :-)

Bye-Bye Summer
This pic was taken at the beginning of this month.
As this one...
We have to face reality and turn the back to summer, it´s moved to the other side of the world...
Not to forget...
Lion of the day:
We enjoyed this weird "summer" as long as we could and I am so very, very thankful we had Perth at the beginning of the year - THAT was summer, fun, friends, Ingo non-stop...
MIL asked me concerning the Birthday via FB last night.
A looong chat.
Yes.
I don´t have a Mother no more, but it was good to talk to her again.
Do you have a good vibe with your Mother In Law?
I do, luckily. Also with FIL and even the family dog. And the rest of the family :-)

I (Won´t) Eat You
Well, technically this is not really a sign, or is it, a sign on the run?
We do not threaten people, right (and we´ll always need trucks in cities/villages).
We do not threaten, not in The City of Henry The Lion!!!
We have the sweetest Lion in the world here!
Every night after New Year´s Eve he steps off his place and walks around to make sure everyone is OK, what kind of a lion does this these days?
And just have a look!!
He´s a teacher, too!
I grew up learning this by heart, but thanks to loving American Football I certainly know this, too:
But I admit... I - in real life - count back to centimeter. I also work with grams, kilograms, Celsius, km/h...
Weee, if I ever make it to the United States and have to drive.... huhhhh... but I reckon there´s an app for this...
Speaking of. What do you think: Do apps and stuff being available all.the.time. make us smarter or dumber?
I present... drumroll (not) - the Lion of the day:
Not threatening, loving :-)
Taking part in Tom´s "Signs 2", also with the BEErs.
Addendum. Since Tom told the story of the cam-companies, see what Ingo uses/used (a mini-hobby):
AGFA is still around!

T - We´ll BEE Here
Speaking of climate, right, we need to speak of bees, too.
Every Thursday the CRABBS-guys, aka National Jürgens Brauerei open up their tiny space - well, actually you have to stand outside, they just have... say... too little seats!
It´s still warm enough to stand in the garage :-)
They are young, they care, they have their own field for hop and honey, now, too!
And happy bees!
Did I mention creativity?
And they take their time to explain, too!
And the outcome is really yummy beer!
Most take not this (seems to be a "women"-beer):
Men do not "grab the crab", no, they take "Gala Hell", sure, men always choose hell, right? ;-)
(Grabbing a crab might be as evil, though, outchy!)
No worries, "Hell" only means "light" :-)
Ingo´s Dad, as a young man, was in Braunschweig, too, drinking this beer, it was then all forgotten about until these young blokes took care and revived the beer :-)
And they do show!
Both, also.
They have more to choose from and the BEEr was a first try.
They promised me the very last sip and they did give it to me, too!
And before anyone starts with, "yes, women get it for free" - it´d been Ingo who asked! Ok, for me, but anyways ;-)
And it really was "just" a last - yummy - sip!
And, just to come to clichés again....
Yes, we are Germans. Ingo hat Bratwurst.
With Hell.
And mustard.
Lion of the day:
Another Connaisseur :-)
Taking part in Elizabeth´s "T Stands For Tuesday", also with Brunswiek Beer, and sneaking in tomorrow to Tom´s "Signs 2" as we have two really cool signs here as well, don´t you think?
What about you, soft-drinks, beer, wine or "tougher"?
I once had Schnapps, uhhhh. The bed was spinning! Ingo still laughs his head off.
Addendum. I guess I have to explain: In Germany you have your town in the number plate of motorized vehicles. Braunschweig is BS, hence Craft Beer Braunschweig makes "CRABBS".

There We Go
I take you again to Rotto, it´s a wonderful and big mural there by Robert Jenkins.
This lille man isn´t floating, I guess, he´s swimming as fast as he can!!!
And he succeeds, too!
But, wait, let´s check first!
It´s quite far away, so...
Well, let me show you next Monday what the wee man was up to.
Taking part again in Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.
