T - We´ll BEE Here
Speaking of climate, right, we need to speak of bees, too.
Every Thursday the CRABBS-guys, aka National Jürgens Brauerei open up their tiny space - well, actually you have to stand outside, they just have... say... too little seats!
It´s still warm enough to stand in the garage :-)
They are young, they care, they have their own field for hop and honey, now, too!
And happy bees!
Did I mention creativity?
And they take their time to explain, too!
And the outcome is really yummy beer!
Most take not this (seems to be a "women"-beer):
Men do not "grab the crab", no, they take "Gala Hell", sure, men always choose hell, right? ;-)
(Grabbing a crab might be as evil, though, outchy!)
No worries, "Hell" only means "light" :-)
Ingo´s Dad, as a young man, was in Braunschweig, too, drinking this beer, it was then all forgotten about until these young blokes took care and revived the beer :-)
And they do show!
Both, also.
They have more to choose from and the BEEr was a first try.
They promised me the very last sip and they did give it to me, too!
And before anyone starts with, "yes, women get it for free" - it´d been Ingo who asked! Ok, for me, but anyways ;-)
And it really was "just" a last - yummy - sip!
And, just to come to clichés again....
Yes, we are Germans. Ingo hat Bratwurst.
With Hell.
And mustard.
Lion of the day:
Another Connaisseur :-)
Taking part in Elizabeth´s "T Stands For Tuesday", also with Brunswiek Beer, and sneaking in tomorrow to Tom´s "Signs 2" as we have two really cool signs here as well, don´t you think?
What about you, soft-drinks, beer, wine or "tougher"?
I once had Schnapps, uhhhh. The bed was spinning! Ingo still laughs his head off.
Addendum. I guess I have to explain: In Germany you have your town in the number plate of motorized vehicles. Braunschweig is BS, hence Craft Beer Braunschweig makes "CRABBS".

That looks a fun place to go for a beer! I am not a fan of beer, probably because it doesn't taste like coffee, but I know I am alone there! Thanks for sharing the fun photos and sign, bee happy and have a fun T day, Valerie
Oh, I used to like coffee, but these days... only at my Brother´s place, so... 3 times a year?
I know coffee is healthy, too!
So, let´s just bee happy and a nice day for you, too! The sun is shining!
I think your BEEr and HELL are wonderful. I laughed and laughed at the way you chose to share this with us. Very clever and so much fun. I'm also not a beer drinker, but I sure admire your beer and would never discourage anyone from drinking one. So very glad you joined us for T Tuesday, Iris. It's good to welcome new participants and we look forward to seeing you here each week, too. After all, as you said, you ARE German and they love their BEEr. Thanks for joining us this week, dear.
Very fun post, I can't drink most beers (have to be gluten free) but I have some Wisconsin friends that would love to sample these.
Happy T Hugs Kathy
...the world would be even in worst shape if bees are healthy!
Oh I like bees, beer and brats. Smile. That is a cool bag and I love the idea of a bee beer. It looks good too. Happy T day Iris! Hugs-Erika
Cheers to Hell!
Elizabeth, I love to make people laugh :-)
I had my first sip of beer at age 1 1/2, too. Eww I didn´t like it but joined everybody laughing about me tasting!
I´ll try to join your T´s, thanks, too, for hosting this!
Kathy, I have no idea if it´s gluten free (and I am very thankful I do not have to care about this, I know how lucky I am!!!).
Happy T Hugs to you, too. Feel free to send your friends over, I can show them some yummy places :-)
Tom, beers are healthy ;-)
Yummy, at least!
Erika, you made me smile big, T-Hugs to you, too!
magiceye, well said! LOL.
It's so nice to meet you Iris. Welcome to our T-party! I enjoyed reading your bio. Congratulations on finally tying the knot. I love your BEErkeeper drawing/watercolor. That beer place looks like a lot of fun.
Happy T-day! Eileen xx
Hello Iris, it nice to meet you at Elizabeth's. I have enjoyed reading your post and smiled as I read the names of the beers. Beer isn't a drink for me, but I know quite a few folk who enjoy a glass on a warm day.
Happy T day wishes.
Yvonne xx
Eileen, thank you, I hope to make it every Tuesday! And I have to admit - the watercolor sign is made by the beer guys, not be...
Thank you for reading my bio!
Yvonne, thank you for stepping by. Not blog related I have two cousins in Switzerland, Yvonne and Yvette. - I heaven´t heard from them in ages.
Well, Germans do drink beer, most, that I know :-)
Great signs Iris, we do need more bees.
Not a fan of beer as you know, but I like how the name Crabbs came about :)
I know, you´re a wine-person, Sami :-)
Bees and crabs are good, also.
I haven't had beer in decades, but I'll take whatever the regional specialty is :) When in Rome, after all!
Happy T Tuesday
I don't drink alcohol, but I'd go for that bratwurst.
@ Divers and Sundry (I like the explanation to the title!)
Just been to Tuscany region, happy T´s in Rome :-)
William, the beer is in the Bratwurst! (Well, the alcohol might be gone by being fried)
I don't drink beer but I would totally got for the brats! Are you a bee keeper? I have done a lot of reading on it lately as it interests me. I have never heard of bee beer but it sounds interesting. I am off to look it up.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Fabulous post! It looks like you had a wonderful time and I would love to try all those beers too 😀. Cheers and wishing you a very happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x
Kate, no, I´m not a bee keeper, the boys did all the work :-)
I once was stung by a bee! A (late?) happy T-day, to you!
Jo, it was fun :-) And yum! A happy T-day, hugs, Iris x
I love it -- Bratwurst with Hell and Mustard!
Love the drawings on the BEErkeeper signs!
Jeanie, not my drawings, sadly!! Their ad!
What a fun looking place to go. I like the bee artwork, as well as the crab logo. Happy T-Day!
Love bees, not so much beer unless diluted with lemonade and even then only on a reeeally hot day to quench the thirst 😁😁
I'm not a fan of beer (I prefer sweet white wines), but I love the labels. The happy bees made me smile. Happy T Day
We need and we should take care also of lot of things.
Coffee is on
Anne, the artwork is not mine, it´s done by the BEEr-guys, but it was fun :-)
Happy belated T-day!
Ha, Grace, you´re no German, I do know :-) But I kinda bet you´d loved a sip of this, too, on a "hot" day here even ;-)
CJ, oh, we will never get in trouble, sweets are nothing for me! A happy (T-) Day for you, too!
Dora, I agree!
I am late to wish you Happy T Day! Interesting post, and also interesting about showing us a lion every time. :)
Sharon, I have to have a Lion when it´s related to my city, the City of Henry the Lion :-)
What an interesting and fun post!
I just love the giant in the back ground. I have never seen the giants in real life, only on film. My cousin who lives in Leeuwarden (Friesland in the Netherlands) saw them there a while ago. I was green with envy!
I like the idea of a small brewery and nice beer. I don't like helles Bier, so i would go for the other one.
The bee drawings are cute. They sound like a fun bunch of guys.
I'm sorry I am late in commenting. We've been away camping on the coast and there was no wifi on the campsite.
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
