Alone? Lo...

Another look back to our last Perth-visit this year.
This is at The Belgian
Note: She has a paper-book with her!

I remember when still working for CGS, local. We went to the Brodocz for lunch sometimes, on Sodhexo. You pay half the price with that.
There was a lady, all on her own and I felt so sorry! I thought she was alone, lonely... I was thinking of leaving my colleagues and asking if she wanted company, but my colleague, Iris K, said, no, don´t.

Fast forward and I found myself in Freo, South of Perth, in a pub, the Gage Roads, ordering a beer, on my own.
Not because Ingo was sick or friends had no time, no, because...

I WANTED to be there on my own.

People looked at me in pity.
Can you read me? Sometimes you are just so content with your life you want to enjoy it - just by yourself.

Next I went to Grill´d, same... oh, hey, how often did it happen that a male stranger pops up beside me and the staff assumes I "belong" to him. I admit... I´m awfully happy in Perth and about and from time to time stroll off on my own.

The lady in first pic was happy!

Other, still inviting you to Perth, I found a Jerky-Shop in.the.CBD. !!!!
We got some:

And!!!! Ingo just took some home.
Yes. To Germany!!!!
I handle it as a treat-treat!

Since BSE you are NOT allowed to bring in Jerky from Australia - total nonsense - it is DRIED  meat. And in Australia this desease never hit...

Next Thursday I take you through this...

.. stay tuned, if you like!

I promise it will be "gigantic"!

Mandurah#7

Here is another wonderful mural our host showed me in Mandurah.
"The Guardian" is a mural located outside the Mandurah Community Museum in Mandurah, Western Australia, created by artist Celestin Hutchinson.

Details are to come - for now the story:

Now details:

Now I´m going to cheat:

 Have a great Monday!

At The Zoo

People certainly know how to pronounce my name in English, knowing an Iris-scan. But when they try Ingo it mostly ends in "Ango". So, Ingo uses the Aussie wild dog as example, "like Dingo, without the 'D'".

These are some more pics from zoo Perth.

Yes, that´s how the animals were "on display" in the beginning. Horrible lives...

This is for...

 ... Eileen.

And the end I have a furry funnie for you:

Have a crittery Saturday!

Mines Popping Up Again All Over WA

A shame we are too old.

Sorry two posts today. Homesickness increases and I am mad at myself we didn´t try in say... 2006...

You´re in your 30s and love the Outback... your chance now.

Haha, no. 18-35, then you´re out.

Still Sorting Through

This is "our" Shopping Centre in Madeley, just 10 minutes on foot away, the Kingsway Shopping Centre - fitting to an Emperor, huh?
It´s warming up here a bit, yet I sure miss Perth and am loooong not done with pics. And videos.

As you know I am (half) German and as that sure not proud of the history.
The German flag is out for worldwide-soccer -games when Germany takes part, or Europe, other it´s a no-go.

So nice to see some can be proud of their place, let me show you!

Wee, what a crazy chicken Ingo brought home to #101! You find him at the public BBQ.

1995 was my first time here, too!

Aren´t these too cute??? And these I really did buy:

We washed by hand and weee.... in Germany I never saw such cool pegs!

LOL on the pin up photos!

So much fun stuff there, oh, Germany is so lame...

Let´s Go... Into The Water (Mandurah#6)

This is another find with our host, in Mandurah.

This is Charles Olaf Wilson (1838 - 1926) and the Leviathan. He played a significant part in the maritime history of Mandurah. He also was a photographer.

All I found was him - but reckon I am wrong as I neither found the mural and also it´s another style, I guess...

P.S. River asked in last post if I could work for ESE (count me in at rail hopefully soon again) from Australia and if, where I would live.

Sadly the answer is likely no as that would be a lot of visa-trouble and getting out and back into the country - and what to do with Ingo?

But if... oh.... I may dream, huh?
At first: Madeley. Cabin #101 (hey, I have my ice-cream-truck in the front each Sunday - on our parking lot! Post to come). And meet my Perth-friends.
Then I´d move to CarnarvonOh, I´d drive to the old Prawn Jetty to read a book each arvo.
Then  Broome
Then... Darwin, now this really is NT ;-)
I think back and forth, that would be my dream. Holidays... pop over at River´s for a cuppa!
Like my ice-cream-mate said, "see you in two years!"...

 If you celebrate: Happy Easter-Monday.
