T This Up And Down Week

At least it warmed up a little - my ticket to Elizabeth´s T. Will Summer come back?
The journal:

Monday: 14C / 57F. "Rising" to 17C /62F. Just yet such a "Summer" again. Cloudy.
Ingo still signed sick, fE on holiday for 3 weeks. BIG NEWS: I´m on hold! (Irony)
Back a bit better and I start cleaning. Slowly!!!
And I got the most romantic pressie from Ingo: An itch healer against insect bites - loaded via usb - now all we need is: Summer.
Cause you know. They try Ingo once and then.... me. Just me. I get all the bites.

Tuesday: Back a bit better, yippeeee...  went to REWE. New guy at the self-cash-out, young.
I said hello and he smiled!   When ready I said, good bye, got another smile, see, so easy, two people happy.
How´s it like in your place? Do people greet? I think I´m one of the few, sadly...
It does not hurt to be friendly!!

Wednesday: 14C /57F - really, July?! Ingo went to the doc in a jacket! And will drive to work tomorrow. When they nag him he´ll be clear.
I cleaned bath and toilet and kaboom... back is back.
Ingo suggested I have a herniated disc - did an online test and thankfully could say "no" to so much, I don´t think I have that. Also learned - MOVE. Slowly, but DO.
Option: Wait for an app with the home-doc I don´t trust and wait forever for an MRI.

Thursday: On.Hold.

Friday: Ingo grabbed me and we - slowly - went to the city and then to the steak house!!! Ingo had to help me but it was progress with eating and walking and my it was so yummy! Steak Mignon, hmmmm...
Got a job offer from a company who dropped me badly. Ingo said: "NO!"

Weekend: Saturday: By accident I was in stripes, LOL. Underwear, PJ and T-Shirt all in stripes. The walking did my back real good. It took a while but I managed half a breadroll. Eating sure isn´t fun these days.
Evening: Balcony, sooooo good, Summer!
Sad: Muslim attack on Berlin's CSD. Go-HOME!!!
I think we skip ours... What´s wrong with those people?! Be and let be!

Sunday: Summer gone again. Ritual inside: Löwenzahn, Maus, fairy tale, talking. No BBQ. Brrrr....France, Spain? Fires. Evacuations. Huge ones. But people help one another.

And Russia won´t let go - what a sad world.

And here is munchy:

We skipped the salad and shared the potato. Old people....
They really have no kid´s menus!!! How is that even possible?!

T STands For BeauTiful Rain!

... as is Blogger, less sweet.
Had a post. And blogger took it all away, and why not? It´s for free... So.. anew...
I try to be (less) sweet and join Elizabeth´s T today!

The journal:

Monday: Well, I was not singing, nor dancing but I learned: my sneakers are not rainproof!

I went through lovely, heavy rain to ALDIschönen Sachen, as my T calls it ("all the nice things" as we often went together and we often grabbed non-food-articles). I got fun socks! Will show some SITAR.
We have May and it was so cold I could see my breath coming out of my nose - am I a "hot chick"?

Tuesday: Door-bell. A post-mail-woman, packed up like it was deepest winter, oh I felt so for/with her. Glasses fogged, she had a hard time to do her job! Glovies in the way, too, argh.
I.Can.Not.Leave.The.House cause Ingo gets mail all the time!

Wednesday: Bea at the check-out, so I went. Me: T-Shirt, jumper, winter-jacket. Dude in front: Shorts, armless shirt. Bea to me when he was done: "You freeze just seeing him, huh?!" He... no kidding... ´d bought 24 eggs - egg... German word also for "balls", that´s what I said. Laughter :-)
Later EDEKA. Cash-out. Met a women. We had a nice loooong chat after.

Thursday:  Ingo gave me a new "TV", mine was "broken"  - it had the "no sound-symbol" and after searching 45 minutes I gave up. How dumb can one be. I by accident hit that button on the remote!!!
But now I have a better program and learned.
Other lazy day off as in public holiday.

Friday: Went to Jysk to get a matress and Ingo´s chair, a nice 1 hour-walk and they sent me a taxi-driver - despite my request and explanation how heavy the stuff to transport is... with a bad back, just like mine.
Went for help, all good but then at home... I ruined mine.
Yikes for getting old.

Weekend: Saturday: Back-pain. Ingo assembled his chair. 24kg, what chair weighs that much?! That´s half my weight, no wonder my back said good bye.
Ingo gave me our IKEA-mammoth to rest my feet on.
And...

Sunday: Löwenzahn about bees.

Die Maus was wonderful:

Ever since I watched Die Maus (1975) Christoph wears green shirts!

Interesting fact about him: "Since 2002, he has led the adult course 'The Mouse Principle: The Art of Explaining It Simply' every two years at the Federal Academy for Cultural Education in Wolfenbüttel." - Must look out for that!!
Wolfenbüttel is 15 km from here.

And then one of my fav fairy tales, King Frog!

Heinrich, der Wagen bricht!“ „Nein, mein Herr, der Wagen nicht, es ist ein Band von meinem Herzen, das da lag in großen Schmerzen, als Ihr in dem Brunnen saßt, als ein Frosch Ihr wart.

"Heinrich, the carriage is breaking!" "No, sir, not the carriage, it is a band from my heart that lay there in great pain when you sat in the well, when you were a frog."

What is (one of) your fav fairy tale(s)?

Munchy:

Waffles for ice-cream!

 Happy T-Day!

T STands For Good!

I could resist to buy this cuppa. I am tough, right? My ticket to Elizabeth´s T...
I´ll bake carrot-bread soon, though...

The journal reflecting past week:

Monday: Harry was introduced at "Death in Paradise" - well I knew, thanks to bloggy-friends! :-)
Other... on hold. And cloudy, sadly no rain.

Tuesday: The Sun is out! And I got plants, super-cheap, because... New girl at Rewe-self-checkout. I sure did confuse her at first cause I always say Hello and Good bye - that is a human being, right?! By now she smiles at me. The plants failed the system as in price was not detected - she gave them to me for €1,99 each! - with a smile. Be nice, it "pays off"! To the bees! To smiles!

 "Insects are crazy about me!"

Wednesday: Did a bit training and wee.... I was sad to see the first character of Death in Paradise go, but I really like the new one and... Harry, so sweet! The music, sooo happy! The French-British accent. Did I mention the music?
And weee.... I gave a thank you to the mammography-team via e-mail  and got two (!)  answers, including the question if they may publish it on their website - yes, of course!
Hey, this is for free!!!!! How´s it like in your place? I get invited and it does cost nothing! And I know I am healthy!

Also got this note via e-mail:
"Our ANZAC Day Trading Hours - Karrinyup Shopping Centre: 'The centre will be closed Saturday 25 April for ANZAC Day.'"  Last time I was there was years ago and I am back in Germany, but, thanks!

Thursday: Huh-boy. The mammography-man really answered again and I am online. With name. Full name. Well, if it helps other women to go through the icky procedure you´re welcome.
Went to Lidl and got "Jeggins" - I am too old for this. There is a "button" and "pockets and all is fake. I also got leggins, they are fine! Aww, well I can go to work (hope, hope, hope!) in first!

Friday: I finally stained the wood Ingo brought me (he has a car). Now I tinker about... going precise or by chance..
The architect/engineer in me fights, I tend to the latter in my artier soul and will show you the outcome soon.
First German-T-Shirt-Day!!!! Was fine on the balcony - to White-Horse Rewe I felt cold and others all wore jackets.
The self-check-out woman there, too, was confused by my greetings. I don´t get it! When people need help, they address them but they do not greet them first?!

Weekend: Saturday: Ingo... was devastated. He went to the butcher. Generation Z - do I have to say more?! "Not my job". Look:

 "Not my job"... Ingo managed.

They had "Take a Girl Child to Work Day(in Germany also boys attend) at Ingo´s plant, Ingo told me. One kid had headphones on!!! I.Beg.You.Pardon?!
No way you cannot say "I´m not interested" in any other way - headphones!!!
Generation Alpha is even worse, huh. Glad I´m a steady X and Ingo is a Babyboomer.
Maybe you read my Friday-post how I grew up, humble.
These days school kids - every day! - buy sweets and all before school at the grocery. Bet they do not work for that. 'nough ranting, time does not stand still. But right now the future looks grim in more than one way...
Ingo did a GREAT job, the roulades were to die for.

Sunday: Kinda sad. Ukraine is nearly forgotten in German TV-News, a side note, Iran it is. Ukraine is our neighbor. Protecting us as well. I managed the board/shelf by myself. Good feeling.

Will show you soon, will not make more noise on a Sunday, but, hey... managed on my own.

Munchy... of course:

No sauce cause sauce was no yum. I´m not saucy anyways ;-)

To another good one - started well!

T This Productive Week

I still have to check all movies I took, but some Saturday soon I hope to have "my" Magpie on!
I had pukka peppermint & licorice tea from Madeley in it.
And that´s my ticket for Elizabeth´s T.  Here are some fun facts (also... that Aussie/UK-accent - oh, do I miss that!):

The journal:

MondayIt´s cold. After the Magpie-tea it was Rexi´s turn.... Spring?
Sent a pic of the cuppa - fK: "What do you mean with Magpie - the program?"
It gets scarier - her "wife"/girlfriend just started with a program named like that!

Tuesday: TV-morning-news: Australia and EU made a deal in... Can-ber-ra. OUTCH!
Yes. not Sydney ;-) The Capital, Canberra...
I remember 1995 when a man asked where we head to next - I said that and he grumbled very loud, "that´s CANBRA!!!!" Warwick is Warrick and Cockburn... Coburn. In case count the stops on Transperth online first!

WednesdayThe gas boiler-man was here on.the.dot (German, eh) and kept whistling and singing on the job! I said the thing sometimes makes noises - "well, means 'she' is at least still alive" - so great when you love your job! Offered a drink, nah he just had and sent him off him with a fiver (€).
The thing making the noise? A Perth-hanger.
fK called. Nice chat. I.am.not.lonely.
I´m done editing all my Perth-photos. Now next I´ll have a look at Ingo´s. With movies I have a funny number: 1.234!
Not so funny: Feel sick.

ThursdayThe chimney sweep was here.
Checked extra close as I said, only yesterday the boiler got checked
Reported all is OK. Who thought of that.
Wow, am I glad we´re home. Cyclone Narell heads towards Exmouth and might turn into a class 5, that is the highest category with winds up to 200 km/h or more.
I remember the ranger and his dog there...
Up north in Karratha caravan parks get evacuated. For Denham predicted category 3. She might hit Perth, "only" with flood risk. All events get relocated, postponed or cancelled. Scary... Other a lazy, sick day.

Friday: Bro called :-)
1C / 33F. Was grocery shopping (on foot) - for over an hour my feet and legs were still cold. Spring??? Sitting with three layers on - inside and am still cold.
Ingo gave me a "new" DVD-player he "found" at work, so I can watch again. Got back to "HAVEN".
Still sick, asked Ingo for help. Got tablets, plums and ... flowers! The latter as in:

Hihi, note the brolly in the postcard to the left? It says "Schietwetter", a slack saying for bad weather, coming from "shit"...

Because...

My Dad was an optometrist and hence named me "Iris", Mom thought it´s about the flower!
So I had it combined.  Ingo was on my Mom´s side that day!
(mM: "Be glad your Dad was no heart-surgeon, your name´d be 'Aorta'...")
But mainly I got the flowers because...

All things crooked end up here - they need a home, too, right? And Gerbera are one of my favs!

Weekend: Saturday: Ingo´s Dad called, I peek in, Ingo sleeps. FIL: "It is 4p.m. - who sleeps at this time?!" LOL. Finished the book "Braunschweig in the Middle Ages".
Forgot to take the pedometer but, after having been sick did so many chores and groceries, that was more than 10 000 steps - felt good! (Teddy on the laundry is fine!)

Sunday: Löwenzahn, Die Maus and the Fairy Tale - a day of rest.
We´re back to SUMMER-time!

Munchy:

To another productive week (and maybe Spring!) - have a happy T-Day.
