T This Up And Down Week

A last good bye to late summer and a hello to Elizabeth´s T!

The journal:

Monday: mSA cracks me up! Starts also at 06:00 a.m. and mixes Austrian with English, LOL. "Das kannste so machen, why not, solange du nicht..." ... OK...
AND got response from fG - she looks forward to meet up in Perth, yippeeee.
mDA1 was funny, too, ha, such a great start to a new week!

Met "the dry one", aka W. He doesn´t care for sauces much, either.  "Say Hi to the Hubby", he ended with. Wish I had more time for W, his wife´d passed 3 (?) years ago.

Tuesday: Got the screens/windows in front/back of the tram done so far, let´s hope mSA doesn´t rip my head off, had to adjust his document for Graz pretty much. Other... tired. It´s getting dark so early now.
Must.Do.Sport. again!!! Was only out grocery shopping for Ingo.

Wednesday: Incredible. mSA said yesterday he´ll look into my work. Today ... red "x" as  teams-status - yet pops in, his car is in service, he´ll start now!
I´m but a trainee, yet he makes me feel like a real "colleague"! (well actually I kinda am)
And we´re back... "What the fuck?! Kacke!!!" 🤣 Do I love that! He just can´t decide if English or German/Austrian, just mix!
mDA1 on the other hand says "LG, have a nice end of the workday."
LG stands for.... you say kind regards, but "Liebe" actually means kinda "love".

Thursday: Yesterday cramped a muscle again, right arm, feels like back then when I had the bone infection. Took one of Ingo´s strong pain killers - nothing.  Remembered this morning I have tablets from when I did this to my left arm - much better!
Can you believe it. The bone infection was 1994/95 and my brain shut the right arm off as it still remembers. Back in the day I bought pain killers from my pocket money as no one believed me something was really wrong.  My doctor´s Dad, actually retired, saved my arm and hand back then.
I was SO.DARN.LUCKY! My doctor´d given me a prescription and I would´ve lost my arm. Last minute they saved me in Hanover back then.

Friday: 05:10: ET visited me from Amsterdam!!! As in holiday-greetings from fK!
06:11 a.m. invitation from mSA to visit "our" tram - in detail!
Oh, wish me luck they take/keep me, then I´ll be on my way to Vienna, Austria! No matter what! Maybe Prater, too? Nah, rather not. Bad childhood-memories! Have you ever visited Prater?

Cooking show, "an impertinence to serve such food!!!" The chef "...?!" - "This is simply too yummy!!!" Don´t you love it when people appreciate the other´s achievement - if with a rather mean joke, just to burst out into a huge smile!

Weekend: Saturday: My arm is "killing" me. Ingo did the cooking, I managed at least the dishes. Couldn´t sleep ... again. Ingo chose the sofa, hence.

Sunday: Löwenzahn, Maus with sweet Shaun the Sheep using Einstein´s formula.
Arm on the way up?
Fairy tale: Hensel und Gretl. Call Bro? He started calling me "Schwesterchen" when I still lived at home. I am the older one, though...

Munchy:

 The internet series:

"Highway to Hell: Spooky Stories from Route 66

 Coleman Theater in Oklahoma

In the heart of Miami, Oklahoma, lies a beautifully restored theater, the Coleman Theater. The Coleman opened in 1929, but its past has since returned to haunt it.

According to local legend, the Coleman was built on an old mortuary. The cremation chamber is said to still be located directly beneath the theater's main auditorium, and not only can the heat from the furnace still be felt, but strange whistling sounds also seem to rise from the theater's floorboards."

The countdown to Creep:

Seems the "designer" had a bad day?

That, Henry, or me getting old ;-)

 Happy T-Day ya all!

Have Control

I am registered at DIPAT.
My Brother told me about a lovely lady who worked for him -  I know her by heart and have not seen her in a long time. We always hugged (those who know me know I´m not a hugger... I learned, though, over the years).

Full, beautiful black hair, lovely face, always friendly. When I entered my Brother´s shop with the words "all good!" to be louder than the bell - means I am family and you don´t need to interrupt what you are doing...
She sped and hugged me anyways 🥰
She retired years ago and now cancer has hit.

Her husband had to take care of her (I NEVER want to rely on another person).
Her husband passed away the other day.
We are all sad.
Her children will have to take care of her. I could cry my soul out.

Bro said he cannot help, I said send nice postcards, flowers, it helps her soul.
Asked for her private/hospital address , too.

With DIPAT I am able to control what happens if I cannot speak up anymore.

Why... why do lovely people get this???
And others... Put#n...

I am sad.
At least she has children who take care and Bro and I will, too.

I am sorry for delivering such a sad post on a Sunday.
I met her so often. We shared the casual "du" (she addressed my Brother with his first name but kept the official "Sie").
I just could puke. She does not deserve the sickness and losing her husband.
She always gave 100% in everything.

Do you have taken care of what happens to you in case of...?
Third tissue in use...
She was his employee. And a bit my friend, too.

Yes. Spend money to learn to get to Mars, why invest it to fight cancer.
What a sick world we live in.

Henry 🦁 is too sad to show up.

 My stomach hurts.
I had to take Ingo to the hospital(s) oh so often, I visited him every day.
I feel down.

She is sick and her Husband passed away.
After Ingo´s 56 year old friend passed away.

ENJOY EVERY DAY!!!!

Flour

This is an icon in Freo - what I kinda dislike... everybody is glued to their cells.
But maybe if you see that every day it gets boring...

Wiki says: "The Dingo Flour sign is a stylised silhouetted dingo in red on the side of a historic and heritage-listed working flour mill in North Fremantle, Western Australia."

And what is also produced from flour?
Toast. Toast + Australia =.... remember that song from Men at work, "Down Under"?

For years and years, actually nearly two decades my taste buds said NO!!!
Friends asking, what would you like... their son had to eat it up.
I tried it as a a mixture with cheese. Yuck, too.

No, first time was 2006  in Wolfsburg! My then teamleader ordered it via amazon - it was awful.
We thought it had gone bad on the journey.
At Maccas Australia they serve those little portions of it in the morning and on Christmas eve, in the evening, shortly before we returned to Germany, I asked for one to bring it to teamleader.
It was hilarious, I had to explain to all  three staff-members and ended up to the one portion  #1 put in a bag +24 from #2 (Christmas) with 25!!!

When entering, the store was empty. By now some Aussies had entered with their Pomm-friends (Great Britain) and a discussion started.

This year on the Indian Pacific they served the little portions, too,  but there was no toasted toast, so I took them to Brauschweig and gave it a go.

YUM! Tried to find it here - nope. Just the Pomm-version. And had eaten the Aussie one already. My friend ordered something at amazon anyways and got the other for me.
She said, it´s no wonder, either, I like it now, every 7 years our body cells are kinda "new".

An idea already?

... on toast, made from flour - maybe not Dingo-flour, though ;-).
In a blind- test I would not taste a difference.
Marmite is like very liquid honey, takes  you forever to spread - fun-fact: "invented by the German scientist Justus von Liebig.").
Vegemite is like .. Liverwurst. Fun fact... came from the mothership:"In 1919, following the disruption of British Marmite imports after World War I, the Australian company Fred Walker & Co. gave Cyril Callister the task of developing a spread from the used yeast being dumped by breweries."

Ingo refuses to try. More for me!
Marmite is nearly empty already.

Well, this of course is for Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.

And, kinda... I really go step by step through the gallery and it´s getting scary...
The man has the fitting quote again. A bit.

"Albert Einstein's creative and brilliant quotes

About success

If a stands for success, the formula a = x + y + z; x is work, y is play, and z is keeping your mouth shut."

It´s a miracle I love that very rich of Vitamin B12-stuff now.

What Were The Odds?

It started 2006 when I told my then teamleader there is Vegemite-ice-cream in Perth (yuck?!).
He ordered Vegemite via Amazon. Awful, we thought it ran bad on the way to Germany.
Tried it in Perth - yuck!
With cheese - yuck.
At friends - yuck.
And don´t start about Marmite!

I got this on the Indian Pacific - they had no toast (I didn´t want to ask and make trouble)....

Anyways... Ingo got toast, we had butter and some say I am stubborn... I gave Vegemite another try.

Hellooooo...

Guess what!!! I LIKED it!!! Is it (old) age, is it.... I don´t know what - 2 more tries but so far I bite my butt I did not try in Perth and brought some home, cause: Healthy!!!

How on Earth come I suddenly like Vegemite?????

... he gave him a vegemite sanwich.

Now, whom to end with, Eagle, Swan or.... as this was in our kitchen in Braunschweig, finally...

 Henry 🦁

How about you, yay or nay and any explanation why I suddenly like it?

Do you have something similar if not from GB/Australia?

Eat Good, Do Good

As you can imagine I miss Perth and Grill´d immensly.
What is so special about Grill´d, you wonder?
For one it is yummy, but there is more!

Wiki says: "Grill'd launched its Local Matters program where each customer is provided a token per burger to vote for 1 of 3 restaurant-specific local community groups. At the end of each month, $500 per restaurant is donated among the three community groups, totalling over $750,000 each year in donations. As of September 2021, Grill'd have given over $6 million to over 30,000 local community groups, organisations, and projects..."

That is not true. Ingo and I always share a burger....

...and we get a token each!!!
The burger looks small here - bad perspective, it is quite big!

"... all of the company's beef and lamb is grass-fed and free-range, and in 2016 all of their chicken became RSPCA Approved. In 2019 Grill'd launched Beyond Meat's plant-based meat-tasting pattie with a "Meat Free Day". In November 2021, Grill'd launched the Impossible Foods plant-based meat-tasting burgers."

Sadly from Germany I cannot reach their website, maybe you can and find out more... then visit them in person, do good and eat very well!

This certainly is for Tom´s Signs2.

T Stands For A Good Week

 My drink for Elizabeth´s T (and work-brekkie).

And the journal...

Monday: Nuggets. I started my day with Nuggets. Sadly not Chicken McNuggets but nuggets of Compliance. Every two years you get lectured on this. Like in kindy! They call each lesson a "nugget". Fancy.

Tuesday: ESE-Academy sent me 4 more yearly trainings, oh, gah!!! Admind mT said he´s 40 days behind already and does not care, LOL,
Teamlead said she´s afraid cause so many projects (mine also) are on hold.
Ex-teamleader T said not to worry, as did mT. Hm.

Wednesday: Yearly "trainings", ohhhh, soooo boring.
ESE is certified so we have to repeat some yearly, some every 2 years.
I am with them two years!!!! Time runs.
Wish me LUCK projects keep coming - they carry me along since September!

Bro WhatsApp´d pics, they wandered to the Brocken - ack! Twice! Double-ack!
I went there once with my former company cgs.
I hate mountains, but they had fun 😀
Other I hear nothing.

Thursday: Ingo was so kind to drive me to Hanover for a minor operation (nothing serious).
I hate hospitals, but we must be thankful we have them.... right. This one was good you can read more here, if you like.
Luck hit me big with my heart (failure?)!

Friday: I was home by 10:00 a.m. as my doc lives in Braunschweig also and simply drove me home. Like in front of my door! Quiet day.

Weekend: Saturday:  Ingo... well, it´s Ingo, right?
He brought love & Spring and gave me the BIGGEST SMILE all day (weekend, week, another bouquet of flowers that has to travel from private to workplace and back every working day!):

With Gerbera, one of my very fav flowers!

06:40 p.m. - a bird is chirping!!! Spring is REALLY here (despite the cold weather).
Other I´m into carpet waving. Got it in Madeley/Perth, cool 70´s style!

Sunday: The carpet is finished!
This is for kids ages 6+.
Ingo said, after 10 minutes max a six-y-o would throw it in the corner - I made it!

So COOL, huh, peace, peeps!

Food-wise:

Three-minute noodles, cooked, drained. Cut green olives in slices, mozzarella, small quarters, mix the latter with dried  basil and oregano.
Throw the noodles in a pan with a bit of oil add pepper, also basil, oregano, add the olives, fry till a bit brown, add mozzarella till it´s gooey and enjoy.

Have a good T-Day and get pampered a bit, how about with a yummy tea?
