Of Course...

At YAGAN SQUARE, and it´s not about the sports...

This is for Tom´s Signs2.

Sadly this was but temporary - when I was there there was no swan...

On The Chase...

... hopefully... and very soon... of... oh, very sad. I found a video on FB, a Ukrainian soldier with a sunflower that grows and blends into a whole field. A sign of hope.

Not allowed to embed.

OK, no sunflower with a soldier then.
Instead let us go with respect this way:

Oh, I owe you this, too!

Saw it the first time in 2006 - it was meant to be "temporary".
I hope the war is temporary...
This is for Tom´s Signs2.

And weeeee... March´s up! And I am no April-joke - ESE still looks for work for me...

Anyhows, here goes:

Happy April everyone!

... soon!

After The Storm

Sorry I missed the "y" - the sun is that bright, I hardly saw what exactly I "catch" on the cam...
Likely stormy today. And, yippeeee... I woke to rain!
Pic taken somewhere in Perth... or Freo?
A good sign for Tom´s Signs2, don´t you think?

I Sneak in Mandurah´s Garden...

I was not sure... sign, mural?
It´s a Garden Bar I found with our Monday Mural host, Sami in Mandurah (wee, it´s really 72 km from Perth! As in 90km from our home (Madeley).

Wonder what the sign looks like at night! Does it have a meaning?
I only found out this:

"Granny Cooper had established the area’s first form of schooling, educating local children in her cottage from the late 1860s.  ...

It was the second oldest business in Mandurah, with a central role in the social and commercial life of the area. ...

From 2017, the Hutchen family have been the owners, creating a comfortable tavern environment in this amazing location, putting a modern stamp on the history of a place where people have gathered and built community for generations."

It calls itself "FRIENDLIEST TAVERN AND GARDEN BAR" - we maybe should´ve payed a visit, open from 11 am on - but then... likely I´d be forced to eat fish! - ... though... they have Pizza, too. In two years, Sami? On me!

(Don´t You) Monkey Me?

Let me take you to the "must" in Northbridge, the Brass Monkey. Well, this is a wooden one.
For some reason this time I failed to take a pic of the Brass ones.
But of course I´ve shown you in 2024 already! Here goes again.

Here you see the beauty all over:

And more for Tom´s Signs2, this is what you find at the women´s loo:

Parfum and Syphills.... do not ask, just don´t... Take a super Strength Deodorant is the best option, maybe.... I recommend a shower instead, at home! Before you go.

Super-refreshing! Who can resist ginger, eh? With a slice of limoni.

I´m Watching You ... Having Fun

We love watching one another, people rushing by and smiling at you, us, sitting, enjoying a tap-beer, no one is jealous of the other, I LOVE that!!! We watch them, all fine!

The Belgian is a nice café/pub where you can sit outside, toilets are clean, people are polite.

Look, when I, as a small woman, am at the counter to order two beers and a man pops up beside me the staff assumes I am "with" the man and addresses him.

Him: "She was here first!"

So ... more than one sign for Tom´s Signs2:
  • No jealousy, always be happy for others being happy!
  • We are but people.

Right?

Let´s Get Shaped!

Anyone wants to join?
It´s rather ridiculous - I have so much trouble eating but food and cooking and baking is so fascinating to me!

When back in Braunschweig I promised W an onion and an apple cake. And I have to cause... he´s looking forward to it.
Onion I did before and he gobbled it down, apple will be a first!

I Admit it!

Saw this on my way home on a Litfaßsäule or Advertising column, as you call it.
And no. I never read the books, nor saw the movies - it is just not my genre - don´t hate me, I know there are many, many fans out there.

Kids pay 50% less in Summer. But, as this is Braunschweig it may refer to Summer 2025!
Same with the Gospel Concert, I got all excited last December then saw. Oh, 2024.
I love my city, I do - but oh so often you learn about events when they are over.

Like we missed the Buskers festival. And read about how few people came to the re-opening of our Airport - Ingo sure would´ve LOVED to go there!

The internet series

"These mathematicians changed the world

 Eratosthenes (276–195 BC)

Eratosthenes was known for his incredibly precise calculations. Over 2,000 years ago, he calculated the circumference of the Earth and the tilt of the Earth's axis with pinpoint accuracy."

Wow, huh!!!!! Pinpoint accuracy!

Hungry?

When you go to our GDR-REWE - it must´ve been like that in former GDR: You are lucky when you get what you want!
Ingo likes a certain brand of soda. Not available since days. Again! So often you want something... sold out - since years. Doesn´t the system count how much goes out and needs to be ordered?
At EDESSA I once ordered a Döner. Hm... not again.
Right next:

As you know maybe: I LOVE pizza. But...

... nah, thank you.

"Habits of the 1960s that would be unthinkable today

 Ready meals

Ready-made meals eaten in front of the television are still widespread today, but became surprisingly popular in the 1960s due to limited nutritional knowledge."

This was the last part of the series.

"The study of mathematics typically focuses on the application of mathematical operations and formulas, but it's also important to learn about the history of mathematics, which extends far beyond shapes and numbers. To fully understand and appreciate the subject, we must look at the famous mathematicians who shaped mathematics as we know it today and paved the way for modern engineering, technology, astronomy, and space exploration. Intrigued? Click through to discover some famous names in mathematics and their contributions to the world."

I hope you´ll like it.
