Hot In The City
Sorry if I gave you an earworm, but, my, yesterday we got 32C, yayyy...
After Ingo finally decluttered the kitchen-table (I present, tadaaa..):
We enjoyed the heat on the balcony.
Crazy thing was...
Everybody else obviously hid inside!
Crazy! Might be the last hot day for the year!
You HAVE TO enjoy this, no?
We did and waited for our tiny visitors - welcome ones, not mossies ...
It was bliss.
Today only 20C, cloudy.

Aaaand Off
We slept in a little today, had brekkie and then finally Ingo as promised decluttered the kitchen, sideboard tomorrow!
I found some stuff to give away as well.
Went to Packstation and now I´m off to the balcony with this:
Let´s hope I find at least as much as in here!
32C, sunny.
Tomorrow: 21C, rainy :-(
Maybe time to actually cook after sweeping the floors and cleaning the shower.

The First Third
About 1 1/2 years ago my "old" boss presented me with a €150 voucher for a dinner for being part of the cgs-family for 15 years.
Dining out for €150???
We talked about it and yes, we can go as often as we like till the sum is up, whew!
As soon as last Sunday we finally managed a start!
We´ve been dining out at El Gaucho for over ten years, it was sooo yummy.
About two years ago it went bad.
Like... raw. Back on the grill is no use.
We gave it another go six months later, same waiter (Ingo remembered her), same result - no more El Gaucho!
At OX we weren´t served, now we tried Block House at the theatre.
Cheaper, full, loud, but, my...
The Filet mignon was heaven!
Strangely enough it comes plain, but the salt and pepper really do the job.
Very sadly Ingo got a different piece of moooh and it wasn´t good.
So next time Filet mignon it will be for both of us and if we go three times the voucher will be gone.
Do you have difficulties to find the perfect steak, too?

What You Wish For
Friday morno Ingo was unwell.
Again.
I was so worried.
Again.
Friday is the only day he´s home before I am.
I thought, aw, with any luck he´s on the balcony enjoying a pipe.
I opened the door, announced I´m home - no answer.
I tip-toed to his room, expecting him crouched on the couch - empty.
He was on the balcony, enjoying a pipe!
Later we went to the city...
We´re no wine-peeps, though, we went to Schadt´s.
A woman came by asking the next table if she can have a seat - no!.
Ingo said, you can join us, if you like and, well, her friend joined later and we chatted like forever.
Guess those weren´t Braunschweig-peeps at that other table!
Sometimes you get what you wish for.

Controversial
I loved the book "Fatherhood" by Bill Cosby - why ever, my Dad was around for me really only the first 2 years, then I lost my cuteness...
He certainly was there, but not like that anymore.
You´re not supposed to say anything bad about passed ones, he tried his best, I´m sure.
"Time flies" was another great book by Bill Cosby and I certainly grew up watching the Cosby-Show, which I loved.
(Who would not want a Dad like that?!)
Now, those scandals, oh, my, I was shocked, hurt, lost in my believes, truly.
Just how could he???
How???
Such a liar!
I mean... that´s really very bad what he´d done.
Playing a perfect film-father role and treating real women like this.
At Saturn (yes, occasionally I visit another planet) there was a set of "Cosby"-DVDs for only €4.
It took me a while evaluating but then I grabbed season 3 (still kinda thinking it was the Cosby Show...).
Same pattern. Even same "wife".
And same effect - you can learn.
In session three they show a way of how to learn to argue:
They have a candle one partner lights.
They argue till they find a solution - then blow it out and are happy again.
Great idea!!!
But does it work?
I bought this set of DVD of a man I lost my trust to.
A man who raped women - oh, how very mean, cowardly and ugly. A film father-role, too.
Yet I gave his work another chance.
And found a good advise on how you could learn to argue as a loving couple.
Maybe some day we can make it work.
A "chance-giver"... me.
Good, bad, stupid? Coward?

Some Take Their Time
Now isn´t that a cute flower?
It took her three months to turn into this beauty.
Forever she looked like dill, kinda, and her sisters still do:
Is it this rather crap summer?
Are they growing that slow in general?
What kind of a flower is this?
ALDI simply says "traditional seeds"... and that some even take till October to bloom!
The sunflowers, though, are gone for good, I think...
The other day I honestly thought the peeps in the building opposite take pics.
Until the silent thunderstorm went out of that scene, that is!
And then... heaviest rain! Hence..
And mossies, mossies, mossies :-(
Did I mention? Crap summer?
16C right now, 24C tops today, cloudy.
"Hottest month of the year"...

An Apple A Day For An Emperor
That Birthday-Pressie I got for my 7-y-o Niece...
The cam looks so "baby-ish", I was wondering if it was right (for 4-10 y-o).
I asked my teamleader yesterday and he wasn´t sure, so I am to show it to him - he´s got four kids, he´ll know, right?
But before just trusting his opinion I took the cam and toyed around with it.
One Emperor (our family name translated) will get it for sure - it´s fun - just notice the cute crab!
There are games - I tried them all and let me tell you... even I had fun!
Ingo, too!
I didn´t try out all the effects the cam has on offer (I hear you sigh "thanks"), but, hey...
Fun, no?
I think it´s too complex for a 3-y-o but I think I came up with a solution already on my own...
I´ll present Niece with it, show her all the features and let her know that if she doesn´t like it she can pick something else and give the cam to her Lille Sis.
Living healthy...
... Wee One will quickly grow into it - what do you think?
Being an Auntie isn´t easy these days, is it?

I Did Resist
Awww, just have a look at what we found the other day!
A detailed globe!
Sooo many memories!
Esperance...
..., haha, Albany (one of the coldest free showers in my life and a boy who crashed into a latern when he saw us having a bbq in the rain - the meat was bought, what were we supposed to do?!), Freo, Perth, Perth is there always, but Dongara?
Where I did NOT dare to ask the like all of us thanks to flooding stuck (and very mad) road-train-driver if he can show me his truck (and maybe let me drive a meter).
Carnarvon... The old prawn jetty where we spent days and days, a holiday in a holiday and ewww... the smelly bin!
Coral Bay where we swam and saw the "Western mini Great Barrier Reef" for free ($2 pp).
In Exmouth afterwards I lost a contact lens (don´t ask) and went to Laubman & Pank in Port Headland (after we waited like forever to let a train pass through, the longest train I´ve ever seen!).
He said he sends the new lens to Broome and when we got there... it was the same person!
The lens was wrong but in Darwin - NT, different guys - I got a fitting one.
In Broome we went to Sun Pictures,...
... the oldest open air cinema in the world and afterwards my back hurt.
Went to the hosp in Wyndham. The Lonely Planet stated when the doc looks at you it´s $35. Nope, nothing but help and hints where to go next!
Between Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie Ingo got the best Birthday-pressie from Mother Nature herself, a crazy lightning that in the last sec passed by (we were about packing up and "running"!).
You can guess I had a very hard time not to buy this special globe and be ok with just a pic, huh?
We´ve travelled the whole of "Straya" but West, North and Central was just THE best.
Shoot.
Don´t we have space for that globe???
I could print the pic of it and pin it on the fridge, right?
Sounds like a good idea, no?
Or... quit and see if we can get our Nissan Patrol LWB back and head off for real (playing and winning lotto big before that, certainly).
In the aftermath I wonder anyhows... "Indonesia"? "Timor Sea"?
It´s all in English on that globe, how come?!

Such A Cool Stuff
I read about a kiddy cam and since it was Niece´s Birthday... we got the VTech Kidizoom Duo Pink.
Ingo talked me into taking the UK-version since that´s €20 cheaper than the same German model.
Yeah. No problem to download Bro the German manual, just, what I didn´t think of...
... it reads and talks in English, too, gahhh!
Well.
But... soo many gadgets!
And only €53, shipping was free, too!
I´m really curious what Niece´ll capture, how she sees the world.
And I certainly hope Wee One takes an interest in it also, cause...
... from the perspective of a lille 3-y-o.. how looks the world like, what´s interesting?
Someone turns three, soon, and you can get this cam in blue as well.
In German. Cheap as the UK-version (just.how.come???).
Maybe they find time in three weeks for me to hand over the pink cam to Niece, poor girl didn´t even get a party, always too busy these guys.
