Have you ever tried a Guinness? Luckily the pub back then was nearby - I made it to bed.
Henry smiles to this - and we join Elizabeth´s T.
The journal:
Peanut is back!!!!! With partner/sibling!!!!! Walnuts are out!!!! Sorry for the !!! but I am so happy!
Tuesday: More snow. And a lazy day. Nicole with the Sunday Meme reminded me to take "van Gogh" with me to Perth!
Wrote to Skye to make sure we get cabin #79 for sure. To shock her sent a snow pic along, LOL.
One thing each day, huh.
As everyone showed their art-place and I join with traditional T-Day also with Nicole, here goes:
Sorry, I still have "the Rotz" - handkerchiefs all around.
Wednesday: -5C /23F and I needed to go to the pharmacy. Snow and ice. Usually I cross the street where it is "OK" - I was a good one and took the official way - longer, safer. In the pharmacy the nice lady - in a T-shirt!!! - gave me two packs of paper handkerchiefs for free, LOL. I spent over 300 bucks!
As in I have everything safe for Perth and after. And I need the meds anyways.
One dude in just a pullover (well and trousers and shoes - otherwise would´ve been a real bummer!), a woman with ice-support on her shoes (want!) and people on push-bikes! In ice. My eyes... tearing like crazy in the cold - people looked at me in pity, thinking I cry (no, and the meds help!).
Thursday: Bell. Postman. Ukrainian or Russian*. Studied the name plates and chose... me.
"M, I know, put in front, can you take these?" - in a very good German, he asked, harsh accent but good. As I know both neighbors I agreed and made him really happy. "Name?" (both our names are on the bell) - "Kaiser" (Emperor) - no question, he´d read it outside.
Germans ask "with 'ay'?" - "like König" (king) - "with 'oe'?" Drives me nuts. He knew :-)
Those are migrants that are welcome for sure. In minus-grades doing a good job (OK in their country this is still "warm", LOL). Both parcels got picked up at once. Yippee.
Fireworks :-(
Friday: Schooool´s out for... Friday!!! Really. When I was a kid I walked six miles uphi.... you know see here, if you like. Lower Saxony closes schools down due to snow and ice! Even on TV news... glad Ingo sees our dentist today! As in not driving to Salzgitter.
Fireworks. In.The.Morning.
And Ingo came home with this: On my Birthday 08:00 a.m. I will sit on "the chair"! Actually I had a date in March, but our dentist now wants to see me before we go to Perth to make sure all is OK. I ... noooo.... noooo....
But huh, look - they even help kids!!! Think I count as kid... They ARE the Tooth Fairies!!!
She always says she´s proud of me for braving up and coming by. Meep. She rarely finds anything.
Went outside. Came back in, had to get out of my trousers at the door. Full.of.snow.
Weekend: Saturday: Ingo did: Go to REWE in the darn snow. Did get my dumbphone back to work, ripped some movies AND repaired my Blueray-slot! Man it looked like yuck! We have no carpet so all the dust went in there. And he worked out how to avoid going to the doc to get the very expensive meds against thrombosis: Aspirin 100! I took care of that. Man, it was a workout through the snow!
Sunday: We slept holding hands, it was soooooooo good.
Watched "Lost Places": "NSDAP and everyone listened to 'the greatest German', Hit#er!" - He.Was.Austrian! And no "people". And I had so much fun with my Austrian colleagues. But I hate when I get accused of being responsible of Holocaust just because I am (half-) "German".
*There is no "the Russian" and those who come here say no to war. My hopefully to-be-again-teamlead is Russian. She gave her best to help me.
fK learned Russian and can on the dot translate Ukrainian to me - like Bavarian and German.
I may repeat myself... we are but people.

To a happy T-Day!
