T STands For Help And HaircuT And YUM
With this... hmmm... rather disappointing drink - my brain didn´t do clever rollovers... - I join Elizabeth´s T. Maybe they expect me to drink it daily, haha...
The journal:
Monday: fK helped me big against my fears of failing. She´d visited seminars and can evaluate much better than I can what is to be read out of the theoretical stuff they want for the presentation, phew.
Fun: Despite being from former GDR she knows the word "Muffensausen" for "being afraid".
Tuesday: I have to pull each and every work out of my customer´s nose. And the Word-template drives me nuts.
Walking Pad and.... big buhuuuuu... I am done with the series Bull. It´s over, all watched.
Wednesday: Went to ESE for work. Reckon will do this once per month now. Benefits: Twice a strong 40-minutes walk in fresh air. Direct teamlead fE by accident dropped by - we both had our long hair cut short the same way - hilarious! She was happy to see me, big hugs. Met other colleagues and at the After-Work-event the two bosses. AND! We got yummiest Pizza and beer for free - on the terrace high up, shielded from the wind and in the sun.
Was unproductive, though, as I sat with fK. But, well: Show.Your.Face.
Crazy: There were chips/crisps for free, too, at the workplace. When I still was on the pill I´d munched away. Now... tried and, bleh. Didn´t care anymore. Crazy, huh? If you went or go through this: Same with some things?
Glad I still love pizza!!!!
And: GURRI CAME OUT! 7C/44F is cold! - the coat-company named the coat this way, I don´t give my clothes names...
Thursday: OMG.Made contact this morning to another external. She really sits in Graz, Austria, and boy, got she mad! She said she´s so sorry I had such a rough start with the very nice but not really explaining things properly mD.
Called her on her offer at 03:00 p.m. again and she took her time for me for way over an hour - and she speaks fast!
What would I´ve done if I didn´t have had a problem with her word-template - that´s how I got her contact! Sooooo much info!
fK popped by to bring me my laptop-cable I forgot yesterday and we had a nice chat.
Boy, what a wild day!!!
Started the series Instinct.
Friday: Ingo´s 60th Birthday.
Re-worked the pieces of the tram I thought were OK and thanks to fC´s help was able to do a much better job. I love that we all help one another here!
Our teas come with quotes (we share). I´d just switched my two work computers to dark mode (better for my sick eyes) when my tea quoted we should not complain about the darkness but embrace the light. Too late ;-)
News, weather: "Too cold for the season". Why, oh, why....
Weekend: Saturday: Feel empty. Work, study and think of how to put it in for my presentation and I have no back-up. Did 3 runs of recycling paper.
Cooking for next week. Broccoli with chicken in Coconut-Milk.
Thanks to BOSE-support it was a JOY!!!!
What the heck did we do pre-internet????

On Growing
I might´ve shown you this one before, a mural around my corner, an Ente.
He´s a local artist and a woman stood there, admiring the ladybugs.
Dear host, when we met first I was super-shy.
Now... I stepped up to the woman, said hi and explained who the artist is and where to find more.
I.Did.The.First.Move. The introvert seemed to have run away!
The lady was pleased and eager to look out for more murals!
A tad sad they put their sign over the mural - strange a tattoo-artist has no respect towards a mural-artist. Reckon many will (maybe) think that way and look on for a more respectful guy to get a tattoo...
In my eyes respect is what counts...
Me at least.. hopefully outgrew my darn shyness for good. It made my life so complicated and now I feel free,
Age comes with some benefits, too...
Flashback to 2006, Wanneroo/Perth.
I headed into Big W at our SC at Kingsway, backpack on.
The lady at the entrance stopped me, I thought she wanted to check if I had goods in my bag, but no, she exclaimed loudly upon my shirt:
"Sweetie, I LIKE your T-shirt!!!"
Aussie-pride, so sweet!
This is for Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.
"Germany to scare: 30 ruins of days long gone
Teufelsberg is a Cold War relic built on what was then the highest point in West Berlin. The former listening post stands on an artificial hill constructed from World War II debris. From here, the US National Security Agency (NSA) spied on the Soviet Union and intercepted satellite transmissions and radio communications.
The dilapidated buildings that tower over Berlin's Grunewald forest exude an eerily beautiful fascination. The panoramic terrace of the old radio tower and the street art gallery housed within it are open to visitors."

Will the scary times come back?

More Fun! And "It" Is Back
No idea if you can read me - likely not. But let me give you an idea?
Unlike the "northern" countries like Norway, Sweden etc, that get everything in the original language in films, movies etc. and with subtitles in their language us Germans get everything translated.
Means: The movement of the mouth is not really fitting to "the outcome" and original phrases get lost.
Worse are docus: They start with the original, you´re in! And then the German translator starts babbling, the original sound gets dimmed, you hear the first phrases twice - annoying - and you often hear it´s not "properly" translated, too.
Get Netflix, you say?
Pfft. Not what I really want, costs money and I have no idea, but reckon it´s in German here, too. Plus likely not the content I want.
So. I buy DVDs.
Yes. I am that old I buy that.
At Bull they are...
It was a pain, wasn´t it? Especially in winter for people who wear glasses, like me - you get fogged up and run around "blind". Fogged or without glasses!
I worked from home, no vacc needed, Ingo had to go and testify EVERY day to be able to go to work! He works heavy machinery, so working from home was no option.
We, as many my friends, did not get the (in Germany at least) not properly tested vaccination. I heard of so many people who suffer "long-covid"-symptoms and saw posters informing you (too late) what your suffering might be - see a doctor if you feel sick and got the vacc!
Even our doctor was against it.
We simply kept the mask on in public, kept a huge distance and sterilized our hands.
The distance was a problem, though, so many dumb people.
The good Covid brought: Working from home is a real option!! For Office-people like me at least.
I decided to work at the company once or twice a month (show your face) - other I have seven steps from my private to my work-PCs.
I thought I watched the last DVD of "Bull", but, no! Yipeeee, one more set to watch!
Reckon you don´t "read" me, huh, or do you have a "language-problem", too?
Well, now you know why so many German people are lousy in the English language.
Most simply have no contact with it.
I was amongst other a translation "manager" and translated many a technical document myself.
Even Spanish! Thanks to AI and that I still know French a bit it was no problem...
I wonder... There was the idea of "Esperanto" - wouldn´t that be great? We keep our roots and are able to talk to every- and anybody.
AI will take care properly soon, I reckon, and we get dumber and dumber...
Any thoughts from your side?

With A Little Help...
This is from Linda again, sweet, isn´t it?
Other...
"Germany to scare: 30 ruins of days long gone
Grünau Broadcasting House, Berlin
This striking post-expressionist building has served a variety of functions over the years. It initially served as a rowing and recreation center in the 1930s, until the Wehrmacht acquired the building in 1940. During the war, it was used as an auxiliary hospital, during which it sustained some damage. After the victory over the Nazis, the building served first the Soviet Union and then the GDR as a broadcasting center, training center, and recording studio.
After its auction and subsequent acquisition by municipal artists, the broadcasting center is now nothing more than a dilapidated ruin."

FFO, Smiles And... To a BIG Kiddo And "Home"
Yupp, right here!!!!!
10 metres!!!!
... and ya all!
Tadaa. Some funnies:
For another please visit Linda´s Relaxing Lair here!
This "cake" is a doughnut without a hole called Fruit Heaven.
The beer is from where you speak "Platt", which Ingo loves.
Let us go back to 1999, Outback Australia.
We went west and somewhere a day before Ingo´s Birthday, in the Outback, I needed to fill up our car and get party-ice for our Esky.
Gas stations in the Outback are a mini-grocery, too, and I found a diet-fruit-cake, thinking maybe not so super-sweet (I was wrong).
Came out, party-ice in my right arm in front of my belly, cake behind my back in the left.
To this day Ingo claims he did not see how funny or awkward I walked.
I managed to hide the cake.
We hit Kalgoorlie and in the morning I had the fruit-cake and some mini candles ready as little surprise. BOY.Was.That.Cake.Sweet!
As only adults without kids watched the very wonderful Elmo-movie and hit the road for the bush.
Found a place for the night. Means:
Note the two huge Jerry Cans full of gas on top... sometimes the stretches between two gas stations were too long, he (to me/Germans a car is male) needed a snack:
Well, that Birthday night we stood in the bush with two full tanks, "Baby" ready for bed, sharing a glass of sparkling wine when it started.
BOOOOOM! the most HEAVIEST thunder and lightning, coming right into our direction!!!
Put stuff from the driver´s seat back and "flee"????
Just before we started this Mother Nature turned to the right and gave us a wonderful show leaving!
Now, that was some very special Birthday - as is maybe turning 60 (just a number, huh?) - so... a fruit-doughnut without a hole it had to be.
To wonderful memories!
To many more good years, Ingo.

Let´s Be Beautiful
Today I join Rain´s Thursday Art and Dinner Date, taken care of by Cathy with "Beauty Salon".
Quite frankly I never saw one from the inside...
And for the dinner-part...
"Germany to scare: 30 ruins of days long gone
Rüdersdorf Chemical Plant, Märkisch-Oderland, Brandenburg
The Rüdersdorf chemical factory has appeared in several music videos and Hollywood films (such as "The Monuments Men") since its closure in 1999. But 100 years earlier, the building had been used as a far less glamorous cement factory.
As tensions in Europe increased, the factory was converted to producing the aluminum ore bauxite for the Nazi regime. After the war, Rüdersdorf changed course again and began trading phosphates and agrochemicals until the factory was forced to cease operations."

Robin Bunny
I found Bugs´s Pal, Robin Bunny, on the way home.
Now not sure did he eat all the carrots or does he try to hide he´s actually not the cool dude he seems to be, but steals carrots to give to bunnies who cannot afford them?
What I know is he sells "weed".... - bad bunny!
At least it seems to be quality:
- Hand-picked & flawless – every bud is perfectly trimmed and free of excess leaves.
- Full enjoyment, zero high – relaxation, aroma & taste without the high.
- Premium with passion – quality you can see, smell, and feel
Not really sure about the "no high"...
This is for Tom´s Signs2.
SS Bread Factory, Oranienburg, Brandenburg
The inaccessible ruins of this bread factory, located in the immediate vicinity of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, are another example of the horrors of the Nazi regime. During World War II, camp inmates were forced to build and work in the 'bakery', where up to 40,000 loaves of bread were baked daily for the Sachsenhausen prisoners and SS personnel.
After the liberation of Sachsenhausen, the Red Army used the facility to supply the survivors before it became a conventional bakery. After reunification, the building was finally abandoned."
