Scared?

Mural taken from Flixbus in full speed in March 2024 on the way from Perth > Singapore > Frankfurt and then... Braunschweig!

From 40+C/104F to 0C/32F. Brrr....

On a Friday afternoon, 8 hours and then into a cold condo.
That mural was just so fitting!!!

We needed to go to where the tram is, wait (you could see your breath, it was 9p.m and sooo cold!) and I was soooo tired as I can not sleep on the plane... or...bus!!!
The latter: I was sitting beside a stranger!!! I sure would not by accident snuggle up on him!

Oh, this will happen next year again, I suppose!

Imagine: DB (German Railway, Deutsche Bahn) on strike > Flixbus. QANTAS for Adelaide on strike > Jetstar... Ingo checked in Perth... DB on strike again! > Flixbus...

Boooooh. I was so looking forward to fly with QANTAS again (they don´t fly Frankfurt anymore) and they are on strike.

River picked us up in Adelaide, btw (Pirate-Teddy-recipient, thank you, dear host).

This is for Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.

"Germany to scare: 30 ruins of days long gone

Domjüch State Mental Hospital, Neustrelitz, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

After its opening in 1902, the Domjüch State Mental Hospital was considered a state-of-the-art facility, but just a few decades later, everything changed. During the Nazi era, the sanatorium and nursing home was used as a transit point for many people with disabilities and/or mental illnesses, who were subsequently sent to the Bernburg killing center.

After the end of World War II, the institution was finally abandoned, and the buildings fell into disrepair. Since 2010, however, the Domjüch Preservation Association has been committed to preserving the site, organizing tours, concerts, and theater performances on site. As part of the ARTBASE Festival 2019, 150 international artists and five Berlin collectives decorated the buildings' interiors and exteriors with graffiti."

The first one is really a "boo" moment! A bit scary :) I like the second mural. Hope next year the travel plans don't involve strikes! Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Iris.

We always travel to Frankfurt one day in advance, Sami. And I´ve heard QANTAS is not as good as it was anyways... And Flixbus is as bad as DB I had to find out when going to Dortmund, ack!
It´s not Transperth ;-)
