T This Tired Week

My sad ticket to Elizabeth´s T...

The journal:

Monday: It seems to be Spring. A very cold Spring. Found this at FB:

But what is typical is... the tiredness.
Sooo tired, I slept in. Said to fK I plan to maybe paint the balcony, but did nothing.

Tuesday: Again, slept in and my stomach started hurting. Tried salad. I think it´s anxiety. I try not to get nervous about the job.
And I searched for recipes in hope I get hungry but that did not work.

Wednesday: From bed to PC and back - no sport, nearly no eating. Had an apple. All other food, just thinking of it made me gag. DHL derouted my parcel to pack-station. I.was.home!!!!
At least a reason to go out.

Thursday: Not getting better. At least the sun is shining and it warmed up a little. Got the Kärcher from the cellar...  fK is astonished I´ve heard nothing yet from fE, now two people are worrying. Half an apple. Other... more gagging. Doesn´t matter what I think of.. Pizza, Onion cake, spaghetti. Maybe that, too, causes this darn tiredness. Managed nearly a whole baguette..

Friday: Had a drink called "this is food". Went at least outside.
People are dumb. We live near the main fire-station. When they have to go out lights for crossing stay red for 15 minutes. Car-drivers have to wait, other you get a fine.
I´d been crossing twice where there is no red light, just a few steps on (there were no children, checked that). When I reached the White horse lights were finally on green.
Went shopping, come out... looooong row of cars, heaps of people... fire-brigade out again!
Went back inside and came later out with a flower box for the balcony.
Ingo went to get me a fruit salad.  Because... gagging.

Weekend: Saturday: Sleep in, egg and darn DHL delayed my parcel to Monday when I have an appointment at the doc. Hope they got it that they put it near the cellar door in case I´m not home. I´m really done with DHL! Twice in one week!
Why I have doubts? They have uneducated staff. Door bell: I go: a postie from another company, asking me where M is. Look.on.the.door.bell and try them, not me! This happens all the time. Fruit salad.

Sunday:  An egg, Die Maus and fairy tale, FB-chat with Sami (pics to come).
Done with HAVEN - thank you, River - in the end William Shatner has a role!!! Weeeee....  The circle closes with him! The Troubles, the Tribbles? The gifts?

Bread - I ate bread, a wee bit but YES!

And started Death in Paradise, thank you River! LOL, back to the British accent!

I love the series! It´s hilarious! And too cute.

T This Yummy Week

With this yummy MONSTER-drink, Grace´s oranges, Ingo´s bear and Henry 🦁 I join Elizabeth´s T today.

The journal:

Monday: We moved in here 2011. We have 2026. The kitchen we took over from the pre-owners.
It seems I am the first person to clean the shelf above the stove.
Feel free to puke. Yessss...
Cleared out food that was best before... 2019 etc. ***from the green chamber!
Wow.
Felt sad and good at the same time. Made a list to check off whenever we take something  so this will hopefully not happen again.
Do you have such a list(s)?

Tuesday: Lazy day. And why not. Laundry. List on what to buy for Thursday when W comes over for home-made onion-cake. And maybe baked apple pie.

Wednesday: Phone: Work agency. The really very nice lady asking me how´s it going and saying on me explaining ESE is still looking for a job for me, "OK, I wait another month and wish you the best!" I´d let her know I have the certificate beforehand. Germany ain´t that bad, eh? I get money.
All groceries done for the big baking day for W. Tools out, too - all by myself, from hiiiiiigh up! By myself - no asking Ingo for help! ... I used a stick. But I got the job done, Grace!

OK...  I can do it (?)

Thursday:  Hups! Not 200 ... 600g whipped cream I need! Off to REWE! Bea at the cash-out, knowing I´m not into sweets, "what do you want with so much cream?!" - "Baking for neighbor!" - "Mr. Hein? 😍" ... Bea does not live in our house.
Yes. Braunschweig is a huge city. And a village at the same time, I love this!
Baked Apple- and  Onion cake and both went well!
W came with pink Gerbera! And took some apple cake upstairs.
84?! He turns 87 in May! Fit like a sports-shoe (maybe that´s a German saying).

And W brought back my lille Christmas tree, too! He took care of when we were in Madeley/Perth.
LOL, W: "Don´t you have a coffee-machine?" - "We do, in the bathroom - here´s no space." - "????" - He was impressed when I showed.

779 construction sites on German Autobahns - happy Easter-traveling...

Friday: Boy, did I sleep in! Baking, cooking, "entertaining", marched to the city etc etc was maybe a tad too much. Cooking for myself, no worries, but for others... it MUST be good.
Tasted the apple pie - good! Not too sweet, yummy! Froze the rest, 3 portions, had a slice of onion cake, soooo yummy! Confident to bake for fK! Well, maybe next month as in 3 more to eat and 2 frozen.
HAVEN and  REXI!!! "Night at the Museum"

Weekend: Saturday: Slept in. Am so darn tired.
Found more potatoes. Ingo must be a real fan.

Sunday: Tired, Slept in. Löwenzahn, Die Maus, Fairy Tale. Got a hair cut. Take that literally. Short! So short! Ingo is a do-er. What has to go has to go.

Henry 🦁 you saw in pic #1.

T This Productive Week

I still have to check all movies I took, but some Saturday soon I hope to have "my" Magpie on!
I had pukka peppermint & licorice tea from Madeley in it.
And that´s my ticket for Elizabeth´s T.  Here are some fun facts (also... that Aussie/UK-accent - oh, do I miss that!):

The journal:

MondayIt´s cold. After the Magpie-tea it was Rexi´s turn.... Spring?
Sent a pic of the cuppa - fK: "What do you mean with Magpie - the program?"
It gets scarier - her "wife"/girlfriend just started with a program named like that!

Tuesday: TV-morning-news: Australia and EU made a deal in... Can-ber-ra. OUTCH!
Yes. not Sydney ;-) The Capital, Canberra...
I remember 1995 when a man asked where we head to next - I said that and he grumbled very loud, "that´s CANBRA!!!!" Warwick is Warrick and Cockburn... Coburn. In case count the stops on Transperth online first!

WednesdayThe gas boiler-man was here on.the.dot (German, eh) and kept whistling and singing on the job! I said the thing sometimes makes noises - "well, means 'she' is at least still alive" - so great when you love your job! Offered a drink, nah he just had and sent him off him with a fiver (€).
The thing making the noise? A Perth-hanger.
fK called. Nice chat. I.am.not.lonely.
I´m done editing all my Perth-photos. Now next I´ll have a look at Ingo´s. With movies I have a funny number: 1.234!
Not so funny: Feel sick.

ThursdayThe chimney sweep was here.
Checked extra close as I said, only yesterday the boiler got checked
Reported all is OK. Who thought of that.
Wow, am I glad we´re home. Cyclone Narell heads towards Exmouth and might turn into a class 5, that is the highest category with winds up to 200 km/h or more.
I remember the ranger and his dog there...
Up north in Karratha caravan parks get evacuated. For Denham predicted category 3. She might hit Perth, "only" with flood risk. All events get relocated, postponed or cancelled. Scary... Other a lazy, sick day.

Friday: Bro called :-)
1C / 33F. Was grocery shopping (on foot) - for over an hour my feet and legs were still cold. Spring??? Sitting with three layers on - inside and am still cold.
Ingo gave me a "new" DVD-player he "found" at work, so I can watch again. Got back to "HAVEN".
Still sick, asked Ingo for help. Got tablets, plums and ... flowers! The latter as in:

Hihi, note the brolly in the postcard to the left? It says "Schietwetter", a slack saying for bad weather, coming from "shit"...

Because...

My Dad was an optometrist and hence named me "Iris", Mom thought it´s about the flower!
So I had it combined.  Ingo was on my Mom´s side that day!
(mM: "Be glad your Dad was no heart-surgeon, your name´d be 'Aorta'...")
But mainly I got the flowers because...

All things crooked end up here - they need a home, too, right? And Gerbera are one of my favs!

Weekend: Saturday: Ingo´s Dad called, I peek in, Ingo sleeps. FIL: "It is 4p.m. - who sleeps at this time?!" LOL. Finished the book "Braunschweig in the Middle Ages".
Forgot to take the pedometer but, after having been sick did so many chores and groceries, that was more than 10 000 steps - felt good! (Teddy on the laundry is fine!)

Sunday: Löwenzahn, Die Maus and the Fairy Tale - a day of rest.
We´re back to SUMMER-time!

Munchy:

To another productive week (and maybe Spring!) - have a happy T-Day.

T This Mixed Week

My rather sad (?) ticket to Elizabeth´s T. I miss Madeley so much, Perth, my friends, the sun the warmth (sadly cannot say the heat...)

The journal:

Monday: Cold, sooo cold!
Played the dishwasher again, went grocery-shopping.. I LOVE rain, but wee.... the wind went under my jeans... awfully cold! Stripey Tiger had to get straight to work when I came back!
I also have his duck as warmie, but he is cuddlier!

My table in trouble - I might bite it!!!!
The new prime-minister of Netherlands is on TV. In Berlin. Speaking German. Then, saying, "maybe better to speak English now..." and BOOM! - his voice is off  - we get the German translation - and have no idea what he really says.
No subtitles... OFF!
Merz??? Speaks German. A shame. A shame.... We speak of EU and NATO-subjects. Had to switch channels. Table OK.
Beautiful The Simpson´s-episode about jealousy and love.

Tuesday: Plan: Clean. Did: Perth-pictures-editing. This will take some loooong time.
Found fun YouTube-videos on Germany and my cooking-companion, Adriano.

Wednesday: Perth-pics...

Thursday:  Perth-pics, cleaning... Ingo: Let´s rip the tiles out and take others... um, no. I rather clean.  Found a fancy chocolate. Best before 06/23.. hups... time runs..

Friday: fK (from East Germany): "Yesterday I found a 'power-chocolate' in my backpack from you - was best before 2024..." ummm... There must be more to life than this?
I mean... isn´t that crazy?

Door-bell. In English: "Looking for M"  - showed her. I understand and appreciate you want to work, but really... the name is on the doorbell, why call me?!
Take a deep breath...
Bea at the cash-out, yipee.

The Simpsons: "For Buddy" - awww...

Weekend: Saturday: Went grocery-shopping together. Yipee. The highlights we have...

Sunday: Maus and Fairy tale, other ... not so good.

Munchy...

Baby Henry 🦁

 Have a happy T-Day!
