Am I Chicken Out?

Today I join  Rain´s Thursday Art and Dinner Date, taken care of by Cathy with "Soup".

As dinner we had Christmas in September!

... plus eggs and breadcrumbs...  and go outside.

..... aaaand

Potato Pancakes I usually only had on the Christmas Market. Ingo suggested they´re like Rösti, hmm, maybe my braim tricks me.

As you could see, Ingo was already wearing a thick sweater, so soup time it will be soon...

The internet series:

"Germany to scare: 30 ruins of days long gone

Flak towers Volkspark Humboldthain, Berlin

During World War II, two flak towers were built in the Humboldthain public park at Hitler's behest. These imposing structures, with an air-raid shelter underneath, were erected in a very short time using forced labor and equipped with anti-aircraft guns to defend Berlin.

After the park was largely destroyed for the construction of the towers, it was restored in the 1950s and is open to visitors today. Both flak towers were spared demolition. In summer, you can climb to the top of the northernmost tower for a magnificent view of the capital."

Get Undressed First

Today I have some different signs for you. Many of them existed:

When Ingo years ago happily explained he has half a Broiler for dinner for us, I had absolutely no clue.
Do you know? In case neither, either, let me show you an ad:

Let me show you how it goes:

This is humor in the East of Germany...

We in the West simply called it "Fried Chicken", but these days I hear the word "Broiler" more often!

Ingo had relatives in GDR whom they visited from time to time, so he knew a bit of life and slang from over there.

This is for Tom´s Signs2

The new series

"Things that are misrepresented in films

Snake venom can be sucked from the bite

The cutting and sucking method increases the risk of infection, and the venom can enter
your bloodstream. Instead, call emergency services."

Guess you guys should go for raw...
The odd thing was that the same food was named different in East and West Germany...
