T This Yummy Week

With this yummy MONSTER-drink, Grace´s oranges, Ingo´s bear and Henry 🦁 I join Elizabeth´s T today.

The journal:

Monday: We moved in here 2011. We have 2026. The kitchen we took over from the pre-owners.
It seems I am the first person to clean the shelf above the stove.
Feel free to puke. Yessss...
Cleared out food that was best before... 2019 etc. ***from the green chamber!
Wow.
Felt sad and good at the same time. Made a list to check off whenever we take something  so this will hopefully not happen again.
Do you have such a list(s)?

Tuesday: Lazy day. And why not. Laundry. List on what to buy for Thursday when W comes over for home-made onion-cake. And maybe baked apple pie.

Wednesday: Phone: Work agency. The really very nice lady asking me how´s it going and saying on me explaining ESE is still looking for a job for me, "OK, I wait another month and wish you the best!" I´d let her know I have the certificate beforehand. Germany ain´t that bad, eh? I get money.
All groceries done for the big baking day for W. Tools out, too - all by myself, from hiiiiiigh up! By myself - no asking Ingo for help! ... I used a stick. But I got the job done, Grace!

OK...  I can do it (?)

Thursday:  Hups! Not 200 ... 600g whipped cream I need! Off to REWE! Bea at the cash-out, knowing I´m not into sweets, "what do you want with so much cream?!" - "Baking for neighbor!" - "Mr. Hein? 😍" ... Bea does not live in our house.
Yes. Braunschweig is a huge city. And a village at the same time, I love this!
Baked Apple- and  Onion cake and both went well!
W came with pink Gerbera! And took some apple cake upstairs.
84?! He turns 87 in May! Fit like a sports-shoe (maybe that´s a German saying).

And W brought back my lille Christmas tree, too! He took care of when we were in Madeley/Perth.
LOL, W: "Don´t you have a coffee-machine?" - "We do, in the bathroom - here´s no space." - "????" - He was impressed when I showed.

779 construction sites on German Autobahns - happy Easter-traveling...

Friday: Boy, did I sleep in! Baking, cooking, "entertaining", marched to the city etc etc was maybe a tad too much. Cooking for myself, no worries, but for others... it MUST be good.
Tasted the apple pie - good! Not too sweet, yummy! Froze the rest, 3 portions, had a slice of onion cake, soooo yummy! Confident to bake for fK! Well, maybe next month as in 3 more to eat and 2 frozen.
HAVEN and  REXI!!! "Night at the Museum"

Weekend: Saturday: Slept in. Am so darn tired.
Found more potatoes. Ingo must be a real fan.

Sunday: Tired, Slept in. Löwenzahn, Die Maus, Fairy Tale. Got a hair cut. Take that literally. Short! So short! Ingo is a do-er. What has to go has to go.

Henry 🦁 you saw in pic #1.

Let´s Go... Into The Water (Mandurah#6)

This is another find with our host, in Mandurah.

This is Charles Olaf Wilson (1838 - 1926) and the Leviathan. He played a significant part in the maritime history of Mandurah. He also was a photographer.

All I found was him - but reckon I am wrong as I neither found the mural and also it´s another style, I guess...

P.S. River asked in last post if I could work for ESE (count me in at rail hopefully soon again) from Australia and if, where I would live.

Sadly the answer is likely no as that would be a lot of visa-trouble and getting out and back into the country - and what to do with Ingo?

But if... oh.... I may dream, huh?
At first: Madeley. Cabin #101 (hey, I have my ice-cream-truck in the front each Sunday - on our parking lot! Post to come). And meet my Perth-friends.
Then I´d move to CarnarvonOh, I´d drive to the old Prawn Jetty to read a book each arvo.
Then  Broome
Then... Darwin, now this really is NT ;-)
I think back and forth, that would be my dream. Holidays... pop over at River´s for a cuppa!
Like my ice-cream-mate said, "see you in two years!"...

 If you celebrate: Happy Easter-Monday.

Birdies!!!! 140 Of Them!! #1

The artist is Graeme Miles Richards and here are pro-pics of this mural.
See last post - this is the city/country of murals and I am so happy to find (and sometime with our host even MEET the artists!).

For my own fun - and I hope yours, too! - I go in in detail. Might take some Mondays!
With interruptions, maybe... I speak of the city of murals after all...

 "Got it?"

All good things are three, right, so... hang on for more.
And... thank you, dear host... I was so happy to have found them after all - yikes I really have no sense of orientation, but at least didn´t end up in the park and found my way back to Madeley!

This is of course for  Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals!

Yes and... have a great Monday!

IT Is A ...

for...

See... Sami told me about two murals.
I didn´t find them.
Got more instructions.
Ingo helped me on the CAT-map (free bus in CBD, Perth Central Area Transit). I drove by myself and YIKES.
WHERE.ARE.THESE.MURALS?!

Went into a pharmacy to ask for help and got: "What is a mural?!"

Oh. Lordy... You live in the city of murals and...
OK, next shop and... I found this cuppa!!!
How could I not...

It is safely home in Braunschweig now, pics still taken in the cabin in Madeley.
The  lady had no clue what a mural is but upon my explanation sent me to the park but I thought, nah... Sami would´ve said "park" then!

I found it, see tomorrow - I found both, stay tuned.

And this NIGHTMARE will always remind me with a smile that I find things on my own even if people fail to help (that is the pharmacy and that gift shop, NOT Sami or Ingo!!!! They tried their best with Mrs-has-no-orientation-whatsoever).

Pic created by NightCafé. For more details ask our host!
I have the movie here and will watch it on Aussie-Christmas, July 25th

Mandurah#5

Aaaaand, tadaaaa (I´m always happy when I find):

Let´s go into detail?
This was a bit hard to capture, sorry - despite I had our host by my side (who is already in Subi!*) I had some trouble!

* Ingo, click the link. Subi is related to.... yes. And the division into wards is a bit like Braunschweig.

In Love With Oranges

I hop in the car and Grace... "I have a pressie for you!"
"Hey... the pressie is a drink at Waldeck´s with you!!!"
But Grace rightfully assumed these fun oranges will make me smile every time and think of the happy Perth time with our friends.

This is for...

Actually this post would´ve had the title "Love Talk"...

Let me explain:

So... we were at Waldecks but the women there were SO LOUD we had to leave... and after browsing the plants and pots we ended up in the car.

"How´s it going with Ingo?", Grace asked.

She is my friend, I told the truth, the full truth also that:

When we still had a weekend-relationship I managed nearly everything on my own and now...
"Ingo, can you, Ingo, can you..."
Ingo is taller, hence faster... more skilled... stronger... you name it!!!

"No!", said Grace, "you need to do that yourself again!"

And I do. I start...
And it feels good, too.

It takes longer, I need my mini-IKEA-chair when I need to reach high up, so what.

The butterflyclips... "Ingo, can you... Ingo..." - I can do that myself!!!

I even took the pic myself - you see try#5 here (or such).
And it feels good!!!
Will I drive a car again? In Germany? Not so sure.
Ingo would give me his without hesitation.
But... not yet. Or.. ever?
I take away my freedom, I know!
But I don´t want to risk lives, mine and others!
Say "buh!" and I flip.
A tyre blowing is like "buh!" - happened to Ingo once.

Grace asked me to name but three things good about Ingo.
That is so difficult!
It would be worth three single posts. But I keep it short, and this is just for Perth-holiday:
#1 booked rides and flights despite strikes and all (can do!!!)
#2 got me sold out oil pastels I did not even ask for (cares!!!!)
#3 always makes sure the gear and I are OK (combines #1 and 2)

Also cooks well, does groceries, let´s me know when great shows are on.. sorry, Grace, more than three and I could go on.
You know him. Always on the run but with a good heart.

Well, not the point?

Art led to talk and the art made it home, see - they made it from our kitchen to my PC:

Thank you, Grace, oh sooo much more to come, pop in next Sunday!
P.S. .... in the background you see the poppy-sachet Grace´s Hubby presented me - from Waldecks - in 2015. Yes, it still hangs there - greetings!

T This Holiday-ParTy

At Grace and P´s place. On Feb 1st, if I get that right!
P gave me this cooler - not aware we drove a NISSAN Patrol LBW in 1999 (see here, if you like) and munchy is right in, too, Sami brought Grill´d burger patties!!!! YUM (better than in the "restaurant"!)
This of course is for Elizabeth´s T

The journal:

Monday: Went to the reception. Ingo wanted a mop, a bucket, hand brush and shovel. I needed tap-water anyways.
Closed. Due to staff shortage open only 10:00-04.00. Hm, it´s 10:20... a slightly pis#ed woman noticed me and shouted over "closed all day today!!".
This place is going down the drain... So sad... Not even a notice.
If I was Ingo:
Leave a note: "I wanted to clean but you were not able to handle me the gear needed."
Back in the day you had a cleaning team weekly.
This was quite a day... with Grace and Sami in Cottesloe!
Loads of steps :-) Post to come (in a while).

Tuesday: Wow - apart from the terrible war in Iran Mount Isa has the heaviest rainfall since 1926!  Cyclones  predicted. Supermarkets empty... And now that we are about to leave it will warm up here in Perth. Why, thank you.
Went a last time to the city and will you believe it?! Only time an officer checked if my Transperth card works (it did).
BUT!!!! The interior light was out  in the pitch dark tunnels - scary.
Which leads me to: Asked J why the panto is so low at times. Grace: "What´s a panto?(my baby 💓)
J: "Stromabnehmer" 😂 - He still knows a bit German (worked in Braunschweig for Siemens mobility, like me, too).
A sad good bye...  LOL, no one really says "Stromabnehmer"!

Wednesday: Packing after a slow start to the day, then off via Transperth to the international airport.
Without a good-bye as the reception was closed again.
Did not meet Rosemary, who always makes sure we can book as long as we want, either.
Last time Skye and her were there, there was hugging and thank you pressies from them.
This time: Shortened office hours due to lack of personal - which is no wonder. We threw the keys in the mailbox.
Off to Singapore,..

Ingo: Had to: Step wide, hands up, etc etc at the check-in.
To me: "Go :-)"
"Uh, what???" - "Go!, just walk through :-)"  - I must be "a lovely person"!

Then another plane to Frankfurt.

Thursday:  We arrived early and Ingo managed to solve the Deutsche-Bahn-problem, we were home by 2:30 p.m.-ish, me totally knackered. But it was worth it, Perth!!!!
A woman helped me with my luggage, so nice!!! See, I never learn. So much fun stuff to buy and I forget I have to carry it later!

Friday: 03:30 a.m. .. wide awake and HUNGRY!!! 04:00 a.m. Ingo and I got up and I made myself a bread with tea-wurst and a cheesestring. After all my body thinks it´s lunch-time.
TV: Lost places.: Dracula.

And I have what I have, huh... From FB:

Weekend: Saturday: Went to the city and waited with another woman for a store to open.
Later went to Karstadt and got pencils - when going out I saw a rather young woman in a kind of very modern wheel-chair.
Of course (!) I turned around and re-opened the door for her, that´s what normal people do, right?!!! Right???
She gave me the broadest smile for that and I did not know... why?
I smiled back but it made me sad that this behavior of mine does not seem to be  "just normal".... In what kind of a world do we live in?! Oh, forget it... Just keep on being nice and helpful, right. If it´s but giving a smile ...
Open a door,..
Helping with a suitcase...
Give and take... (be) people. We all should just people. Or goating, I´m not sure now... Sometime I wanna goat and bump-head nasty people.

Sunday: Up at six. Darn jet-lag won´t wear off. Slow day and YAY - Löwenzahn and Die Maus, fairy tale! Not.On.Demand.
Not!!! On 11:05, yes :05 Löwenzahn starts! 11:30 Die Maus, 12:00 Fairy Tale.
My childhood in 2026.
I "demand" this - and I get it. I am old, LOL!

Love-love-love... love!
Recommended from 5-6(0) years on! Many our generation watches these still!
Do you still watch your childhood-series as well?
The fairy tale I knew, but it was oh-so-sweet! It gave me sooo many smiles.

Henry 🦁 with his alter ego, the Black Swan

Well. Hit 50 and get stuck.
Kingsway Caravan Park, I could manage you, I could, with Ingo!!!
But Australia says we´re "too old"... 50+... too "old".
Life-experience and all? Does not matter ... I could tell stories of the "fit and young ones.."

...who do know nothing about working.. .
Australia, one day this will catch up! And you want the 50+ gang!!!
