With this fun drink I join Elizabeth´s T.
The journal:
Monday: Finally!!! fE - my teamlead - sent me an e-mail and congratulated me on the certificate and we´ll talk soon. mDA01 called me - I am to contact him after Perth. And we´ll talk again on Wednesday, from Graz.
I´ll miss them all!!!
Tuesday: Decided to go for the second certificate. After Perth.
Speaking of Perth: Floodings, hail, bushfires, heatwave. 9NEWS and 7 are full of it. From over 40C / 104F down to 22 / 72F in one day is just crazy and speaking of that: The fire was lit on purpose by some idiot. In a severe heat wave.... no electricity, fridges full of Christmas-food already, oh, bingo.
Wednesday: News: Women in Germany get 6% less money for the same job as men! Well, not as ESE but at many.
Same in your place?!
Btw, found a German YouTuber who moved to the United States and tells what´s different.
At the cash out do you really get asked what you cook today and such? How you´re doing?
That is so wonderful.
A German would likely say, "that´s none of your business!"
You burp loudly? Funny.
Thursday: Got my last document done. Wee, was a complicated one, hope I did a good job... We went to the Christmas Market, early. Full to the brim. Not funny. TV-news: Next year two public holidays fall on the weekend and 2027 even four - bummer. They said in Australia for example you get extra free days in that case. Not us.
Friday: So, feeling very sad, gave my laptops back - and met my best admin mT. fK let me in, as I have no token and asked, if she may join my final interview and said, it won´t be bad.
The customer was "extremly" content with me and if another project comes up he´ll contact me via private e-mail, explained fE and that she´s really proud of me. As a result she went to HR and told them the next job will be ... mine! I´ll be an April first-joke! - well, I hope - not that I have signed anything.
But, if before April I would have to give back the severance pay - and the job agency pays for me till I have the new job - wish me luck I really will sign and be back at ESE!
This was the best X-mas-pressie ever! I will go carefree to Perth!
fK and I "celebrated" at the Döner-place.
The guy LIVES his work! Speaks good German and even showed us his kitchen!
Despite we were a challenge!
I: put out my card to pay, so did fK! I said, "I got this!" (as in 'I invite you'.)
fK: "OK! ... three more for my family, I get that"! ..... him, "so, two for dine in and three to take away with two different cards?" - me: "Mine as take away, too, as I cannot eat it up at once."
Yes. You have customers like that, too!
Another ordered Baklawa for two - he took one piece, cut it in half, on the tray gave it to the customer: "tastes best from the hand - here are little towels!". I think it was for free, as I saw no one paying...
Love that place! And man!
Weekend: Saturday: Popped into a - sadly short and nearly at the end-docu: The prettiest beaches of the world, the reporter was in WA (Western Australia) and said, "gosh!!!! this sand squeaks under your feet!!!! So white and fine - have never seen anything like that!" And I knew where he was:
Sadly, when we were there it was too cold for a swim. Yes, too cold, in Australia.
I must be one of the luckiest people in the world! As in: at least we had the squeaks!
Sunday: At YouTube again: In the USA you don´t have induction fields??? Can you confirm this? You don´t cook eggs? Other... docu on Gold-search in Australia and Carnarvon came up!
Ingo caught a macarel (and a blowfish, weeee....) on the old prawn jetty. Yes, I´m not the best photographer... aww here...We called him (German cars are male) "Baby".
When I needed to go pee I took Baby all by myself to get to Pelican Point where there are public toilets. It´s childish, but these were special times, just Baby and I... I felt much taller ;-)
Look, he´s a big "guy"!
This was just a pic - we did NOT park like this!
Usually he wasn´t that "clean" and also he had a bit on top!
And Ack! I managed to tell myself into onion-cake baking and have two guests already!!
I am a beginner, huhhhh... How the ... Watch your words!
Pressure, under pressure.... don´t make me sing!
"Habits of the 1960s that would be unthinkable today
Record player
For most people, the record player was the only way to listen to music, apart from listening to the radio."
Still the way in the 1990´s here!
