Blooming Art

This is my workplace (at home).

Last year I bought two NO WATER FLOWERS with Santa as motive and gave one to fK - after all she is not only my friend but helped me with the presentation etc etc.
I got the last two, one Santa is a bit crooked, I kept that one.

Hers after three weeks:

 Mine after five weeks...

 Then, finally:

What you see on my "laptop" - we will see for real soon again! It´s "our" Shopping Center!

And now we are done with Christmas.

This   is for...

... Nicole.

"These mathematicians changed the world

Al-Khwarizmi (780–850)

Al-Khwarizmi was a renowned Persian scholar who made numerous contributions to mathematical thought. The word "algorithm" is derived from Al-Khwarizmi's name, as he is credited with introducing algebraic concepts to the West."

Recap 2025 ... A Bit Late

Jeanie inspired me to this - this was January 2025 - I try to recap best moments... (I was so happy to still have my job!)

Let me head to February:

It was too cold, though... Take it to Perth? Pressie by Ingo.

March...

 Pressie by... Ingo!

April...

My friend´s "wife" thinks .. I dunno - Vegemite you spread very, very thin - the next 5 years I´ll eat Vegemite-sandwich! And if some Pomm pops in, I have Marmite, too - no discussion 😘
I put wife in "" as they are not married. They have twins but would not profit from the system for them, or themselves, just because they are women - Germany, behind the rock.

You can help by sending a post card and twice I got one back! Only twice which I think is good.

Once I donated to a German institution and year after year I got cheap "pressies" until I told them off.  THAT was where my money went to?! I did not help people in need I helped a German institution - I was young, had my first job, not much money, I was shocked and angry.
No ad, but if you wanna help our helpers... here

May...

Both pair of socks knitted by Ingo´s (late) Grandma - do I miss her - we lived with her.
And when Ingo had to move out every second weekend I visited (Ingo lived still in Rhüden, me in Braunschweig) we popped by and even before we reached her door she ripped the door open and went: "My Children!!!" I´m wearing another pair of her socks right now.
Note my tops differ so there is something left for Elmo... And that became her hobby - I found her on the ground sorting rests of wool so we get:

 ... for the whole family.

I think the plant dies - it was too cold!

June...

 And...

"We" ... "stole" them from the woods and I rescued some to Braunschweig.

July...

I hate! to travel without Ingo and by accident they gave me this bed to attend in a crazy city (Dortmund) a very stupid seminar. Did I feel lonely... (only my bed-side lit).

 Let´s hop to August...

Turns kinda in an hommage, huh?

September...

Let me tell you... I cried of joy. I cried of joy. The Alstom-laptop was delivered to my door by my teamlead fE even!

Having my job back - if only as trainee - the flowers traveled from my private PC to work PCs and back again - such a wonderful feeling!!!
To be productive at work and loved at home.

On to October...

In the 1970´s my Grandma bought detergent Pril because of the flower-stickers - they are back, the stickers!

And I presented myself with a Halloween-calendar and they all piled up by Ingo´s tram and train!

Huh, November already!

fK asking me for a call and my glue-engineer mSA asks the same! mDA1 just calls. I like to be prepared (having Rexis I need to plan )Rexi is a huge cup of tea and... meep).
How do you do that? Some really in a middle of a teams-meeting say, "sorry, I need to go!".

A crooked tree ended up here and Ingo presented me with a new lamp!

 Now finally, December:

Henry 🦁  of course was the happiest, having his people all around him!

I got my X-Mas-Pressie: 98% I get my job back!
Red coat is Gurri on the left, right side fK. All others were on holiday already or working from home (yes I am small...).

2025 had it´s up and downs. Let´s count the ups, right?

"Yippeeeee!!!" says this astronaut!
He´s a key holder and pocket lamp I could not resist - maybe a she, I don´t care even, we are people - also nice: I said to my customer:

"Are you allowed to put on a meeting with others for me, I´m but a trainee!" -
"You are my colleague!!!" - and he used the male form, "Kollege", not KollegIN". One thing fK and I are of different opinions, but most of my life I worked with men only, was the only "woman" and treated like a man.

To let us being PEOPLE.

Have a happy Sunday!

T STands For Yipeeeeeee?

With this fun drink I join Elizabeth´s T.

The journal:

Monday: Finally!!! fE - my teamlead - sent me an e-mail and congratulated me on the certificate and we´ll talk soon.
mDA01 called me - I am to contact him after Perth. And we´ll talk again on Wednesday, from Graz.
I´ll miss them all!!!

Tuesday: Decided to go for the second certificate. After Perth.
Speaking of Perth: Floodings, hail, bushfires, heatwave. 9NEWS and 7 are full of it. From over 40C / 104F down to 22 / 72F in one day is just crazy and speaking of that: The fire was lit on purpose by some idiot. In a severe heat wave.... no electricity, fridges full of Christmas-food already, oh, bingo.

Wednesday: News: Women in Germany get 6% less money for the same job as men! Well, not as ESE but at many.
Same in your place?!
Btw, found a German YouTuber who moved to the United States and tells what´s different.
At the cash out do you really get asked what you cook today and such? How you´re doing?
That is so wonderful.
A German would likely say, "that´s none of your business!"
You burp loudly? Funny.

Thursday: Got my last document done. Wee, was a complicated one, hope I did a good job... We went to the Christmas Market, early. Full to the brim. Not funny. TV-news: Next year two public holidays fall on the weekend and 2027 even four - bummer. They said in Australia for example you get extra free days in that case. Not us.

Friday: So, feeling very sad, gave my laptops back - and met my best admin mT. fK let me in, as I have no token and asked, if she may join my final interview and said, it won´t be bad.
The customer was "extremly" content with me and if another project comes up he´ll contact me via private e-mail, explained fE and that she´s really proud of me. As a result she went to HR and told them the next job will be ... mine! I´ll be an April first-joke! - well, I hope  - not that  I have signed anything.
But, if before April I would have to give back the severance pay - and the job agency pays for me till I have the new job - wish me luck I really will sign and be back at ESE!
This was the best X-mas-pressie ever! I will go carefree to Perth!
An invisible pressie, dear Erika! 😘
fK and I "celebrated" at the Döner-place.
The guy LIVES his work! Speaks good German and even showed us his kitchen!
Despite we were a challenge!

I: put out my card to pay, so did fK! I said, "I got this!" (as in 'I invite you'.)
fK: "OK! ... three more for my family, I get that"! ..... him, "so, two for dine in and three to take away with two different cards?" - me: "Mine as take away, too, as I cannot eat it up at once."
Yes. You have customers like that, too!
Another ordered Baklawa for two - he took one piece, cut it in half, on the tray gave it to the customer: "tastes best from the hand - here are little towels!". I think it was for free, as I saw no one paying...
Love that place! And man!

Weekend: Saturday: Popped into a - sadly short and nearly at the end-docu: The prettiest beaches of the world, the reporter was in WA (Western Australia) and said, "gosh!!!! this sand squeaks under your feet!!!! So white and fine - have never seen anything like that!" And I knew where he was:

Sadly, when we were there it was too cold for a swim. Yes, too cold, in Australia.
I must be one of the luckiest people in the world! As in: at least we had the squeaks!

Sunday: At YouTube again: In the USA you don´t have induction fields??? Can you confirm this? You don´t cook eggs? Other... docu on Gold-search in Australia and Carnarvon came up!

Ingo caught a macarel (and a blowfish, weeee....) on the old prawn jetty. Yes, I´m not the best photographer... aww here...

We called him (German cars are male) "Baby".
When I needed to go pee I took Baby all by myself to get to Pelican Point where there are public toilets. It´s childish, but these were special times, just Baby and I... I felt much taller ;-)

Look, he´s a big "guy"!

This was just a pic - we did NOT park like this!

Usually he wasn´t that "clean" and also he had a bit on top!

And Ack! I managed to tell myself into onion-cake baking and have two guests already!!
I am a beginner, huhhhh... How the ... Watch your words!
Pressure, under pressure.... don´t make me sing!

"Habits of the 1960s that would be unthinkable today

 Record player

For most people, the record player was the only way to listen to music, apart from listening to the radio."

Still the way in the 1990´s here!
