Soooo.... Cute!
S´rry... I just needed that. A little Jerboa.
After this day....
First message: Ingo didn´t get the job he was so confident with.
Outch.
I just couldn´t stay at work.
So, I finished my time report and sent it to the printer and thoughtless made "uohhha". The only left colleague said, hey, what´s with you?
I told him bout Ingo´s missed job, he gave tipps and then we were in a hurry.
I forgot my best brush. And realized that too late.
Since Monday is a public holiday... I got stuck in traffic. Bingo.
Finally home, Ingo made me a coffee, wasn´t in a mood too bad either. So, I grabbed my sports-stuff, helmet and went out.
Some F##### #### had stolen my bicycle seat, with the bar.
I tried very hard to not get down. I still do.
You see... I have a colleague who says people here are unfriendly, steal bikes and so on.
I on the other hand had experienced only good stuff so far, friendly, helpful and honest people and have always defended this town with all the good examples
(lost a sweater when getting my bag out of the car, just to find it on the hood the next morning and many incidents like that).
And now? Wasn´t a whole bike, but still... Ingo thinks the guy stole it to sell it, wasn´t such a bad/cheapie, obviously. I had no idea, it´s my Mom´s old bike after all.
So. I´m pretty upset. Like "my town" did this to me.
Scroll back up and watch the lil´ fella once more...

Eva
After having bought so much love and more even more love... it´s not too surprising I bought Eva yesterday, no?
We went to the city. On foot. And the new white shoes are really great for driving a car... not (yet) for walking, though (guess I need to wear them a lot more, I plan to wear them on my friend´s wedding!). Well, but back to Eva!
Ingo bought sneakers (first time!!!) and I saw Eva. Ingo said, "are you crazy?! 10 bucks for those? We saw flip-flops for one!"
Yips. But my feet hurt now and look at the color, isn´t this a perfect match (to the glasses! They are "sunglasses", btw, turn blue)?!:

On the way home I thought, man these are comphy, feel so great on the skin, too.
No wonder!!! Those are (very hip) Birkenstocks!

For only 10 bucks!!!
Else: Ingo sent me a pic to work today of what waited for me:

Cow-Cake, haha! Wasn´t too sweet and looked so funny:

No gym today. It was hot and so humid! In the evening like in the morning we had thunderstorms, lightning and even hail! Over 30C and hail!
So we just ran some errands and got some soil for my poppy.
After I spotted this sad fellow (the poor frog hanging upside-down):

It was hard to not buy one free of this army:

I just took a pic:

Awww, today predicted only some 20 C for tomorrow...

Scarecrows For Real!
I never thought they really exist... but they do!!!! I saw my very first Scarecrows today!!!

As many people, I had the day off today and so we roamed around... I never understand why the Siegfriedviertel, the part of town named after Siegfried, the dragon slayer (Sigurd) is ALL IN PINK?!

My Mom´s oldest brother is named Siegfried, too. I am not to adress him "uncle Siegfried", because he then feels old - just "Siegfried". Well. At over 70... Gosh. Haven´t heard from him since 7 years!!!
On we went, following the tram...

All the way to IKEA and yes... see the poster? And the car? That does fit!

IKEA was full, people from all over the place came here! Also these guys, my, they are proud being German, no?

Speaking of... why ...?

Here they are called "LKW" (LastKraftWagen), is even shorter.
Anyhows. Not IKEA, but... had to... live in Braunschweig, hence .... Henry the Lion:

again :-)
My swing? Will be cool soon, cause we also got these:

In case you read the last post, you might wonder, ... A-HAND, didn´t you forget something?!
Yes, I did! One pair is still in the car!
But here are two:

Comphy and cool :-)
Maybe was my lucky day today! Well, no wonder, I wore my Sweetie, I liiiike your T-Shirt!-T-Shirt today!!!

Can('t) Buy ... II
This sure is weird!
Seems like you do can buy love over here!
We went for a walk today and guess what? And it´s for free, too!

"Love for free", this says. And where did we find this?

Right, at the institute for foundation engineering and soil mechanics - how romantic is that, huh? ;-)
That´s not all! Whilst I was at work, Ingo went shopping and came back with - yep, typically German - beer.
Not some, but ASTRA (German), a beer from the free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg - and my, do they love their beer or what?!

"Brewed with love", oh, yips!

Despite all the love - don´t try to open this with your bare hands! Here you need an opener.
Love... it´s color is red, no? Oh, have a look at these beauties!

Awww, a stupid ole Poppy, you say?! Nah!!! Ha-ha, look at how huge these are!

Amazing, no?
Further on we went to our good ole Botanical Garden... We don´t go there as often anymore, since we moved. But, hey!!!!! We live together, that´s all that counts and I don´t wanna change that!

On we went to Löbbeckes Insel (German) and found another Lion on the way:

All day it was cloudy - all day. Hence I wore no sunscreen. Yips, guess... sun came out. Luckily Ingo wore a cap and gave it to me.
"Show and Tell", yes, yes, I do! ;-)
Did you know, btw? Today is "Father's Day and what did we see? Ohhh....

Many a dad came here t our new Dinosaur with the kids:

13 metres in lenghts, 4 1/2 high!

At the house of Science.
Back we went to Katharina (oh!!!! Oh!!!!! You need a Weisswurst, if you turn on the sound!!!!! ;-)...)
We are "fishheads", the music is bavarian!
Guess what I got?

Wheat beer with banana-flavor!
Neighbour´s doggy got some water:

Wonder why my piggy looked so terrified?

Well, just behind us...

But!!! 10,90 € pp!!! And the best you find on Cuba anyways!
So, we ended up with... yes, I know, I´m not into sweets, but hey! Was a warm day!

Heaps and heaps of people were out in the parcs having BBQ´s, it was a joy to see!!! We had frozen Pizza in the fridge. But soon...
I´m out to the balcony, "feeding" plants and flowers. My... turned on the bavarian music... after it goes on ones nerves... it feels like summer, somehow!
YAY for long weekends - hope you have a fun time, too!
(Tomorrow Ingo goes and buys shoes with me - for me!!!! Oh, yay! Anybody: Why are there so few shoes that look good (I even don´t say great!) AND are comphy???? Cross your fingers I find the right stuff!!!)
Addendum:
Feeding is over. I called Ingo with his super-good-cam to take a pic of new and old:

My Duckling... Ingo said, he waited for him, since last year...

Maybe so... wasn´t only blurry for me, so it seems:

Can('t) Buy Me Love
Oh, yes, I can - I did!!!! For only 6,99 €...

Ok. I only bought "You've Got Mail". I really do like Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks :-)
Else... I just love this time of the year, seems to be all orange on our balcony:

Except for my Duckling, that is:

Ingo is making roulades and right outside some Punks, the "cocky bitumen culture"-band give a... concert, oh, my!
And we bought two pendulum clocks today!

The Ugly Duckling
... was so ugly, I don´t even have a pic from the early days anymore! I took one, but then the cam said, memory card is full, and I deleted.
I kept the Duckling, despite Ingo saying, throw him out.
"Him" were some plants, weeds, I thought. I was curious what it was, and guess what?!
My dear ones from last year!!! Despite the snow and all!!! My Ugly Duckling has become a graceful swan after all, have a look!

We went to a nursery instead a hardware store this time and got these beauties as well - was less expensive there, too, who would´ve guessed that?! And you even get professional advice there, yay, we´re new customers for sure!

Else: I got some earrings today! Wasn´t a surprise though, cause Ingo told me he ordered some for me, but aren´t they cute?

These are so-called Ampelmännchen. I´ve never seen them in reality. They were the little traffic light men in former DDR, or GDR, German Democratic Republic, as one may say. They look way better than the ones we still have.
Tomorrow it´s a visit at the doc (routine) and since she starts so late in the morning, I took the whole day off, yay :-)
We´ll kinda sleep in tomorrow, Ingo said he´s gonna get some fresh bread rolls (yum!), doc, gym, weekend!!! Yay!
Speaking of yum, btw: Ingo was at "our" coiffeur and came with two meals for me :-)

Fight The years?
Probably not, but maybe some wrinkles ;-)

Though... for Ingo it was more like this!:

He said he won´t do it again and I can have the rest of his mask. Let´s hope I don´t grow a beard, ha-ha!
The new soup-receipe turned out fine, btw, very yummy!

Ingo made some jelly, too:

Is sure glued to the plate!

Else: Ingo´s still working on the moped:

She needs to go through TÜV, one of the most... dumb German inventions - keep your fingers crossed!
