Four More To Go?

Reckon it´s rather safe to say from today in four years on nothing will be itchy, huh?

Like in the saying / romantic comedy film I never saw (I should not admit this openly, should I?!) "The Seven Year Itch".

Cause then we will be married for seven years.
But we´ll also be together 26 years (AHHHH!!!! I´m old ;-)...)

Crazy, how can time slip by so darn fast?

The weather was defo a lot warmer than right now.

But very soon...

Addendum: Surprise :-)

The (Sometimes Darn) Early Bird

Have another day off today.
Slept in till 06:30, did some laundry, recycled paper, glass and plastic, ran errands, brought books to the public phone booth and headed to the city to get some pics printed.

This... someone else will have to do the job...

At least it´s beautiful in detail, no? Minus 5C....

In the reflection you see the sun is rising but the laterns are still on.

On the way to the city I passed the Braunschweig-shop where Ingo wants to buy a jumper for (waiting for) the flight to Perth.

I thought I get him one and if it´s not fitting I bring it back.
Because I´m a nice person, right?

v Just... see title. Opened only an hour later. An hour!!!
Why on earth do most shops open at 10:00 am?!
Feels like my day is half done by then!

Got my prints and a tad frustrated passed this deer:

One more ice-pic...

And now I´m even done with this, will now vacuum, mop and do all the fun stuff you do when everybody else is at work.

Lights

When we had our hot wine punch on Saturday other people joined our table.
I said to Ingo, keep the mugs? Nah... or?

One woman said, they end up in the last corner of the cupboard anyways.

Well the week before I´d bought Bratapfel punch, which we wanted to try.

Guess where we found these:

Yep. In the last corner!
Sadly it tasted... rather boring. Not even good enough for being a pressie :-(

Spontanously we went to get some yummy pizza:

Afterwards Ingo shot St Andreas...

Crazy, huh?
This is the toy:

We payed another visit:

Way more beautiful at night, but, my, packed!
Sunday we started bringing together what we take into our holiday cause... yikes!

Next Monday we sit in the train to Frankfurt!
I dread the long flights for sure!
Maybe Ingo manages to invent beaming till then?

High Up In The Cold

Yesterday was cold but such a wonderful day!
Despite being Saturday we went to the city. Thanks to the cold the city wasn´t that packed, plus... surprise... we were early in the day.

I´d totally forgotten it´s this around again!

The yearly charitable donation.

And yes, that´s the Xmas-market!
This is at lunch-time and we had our first hot wine punch.

Boy, that was yummy!

I had this for lunch:

Very yummy. Sadly I couldn´t share with Ingo. Chive... not allowed, would bring him in pain :-(
I know, things could be worse, but it´s annoying, no?

Well, with the hot wine punch I braved up!

Yes, I´m that close!

Ingo´s never been on the wheel and talked me into going!

And I don´t know why, might it be Ingo being there, it wasn´t that scary as three years ago with SIL and Niece!

I even took a pic.

Or two, just as proof ;-)

And this was just the beginning of a great day.
More to come.

A Silent Welcome

There you see, Bruno is all smiles and in one piece again :-)

I went to get some new truffle-oil but the stall was nowhere to be found.
But good thing I didn´t look up the map, otherwise I might not have payed a visit at all, huh?

The Brunswick Christmas-Market was held the first time in 1505 and by now has grown to present 150 stalls, amongst 5 new ones.
"Granma´s Chocolate" replaced my truffle!
Unfair!!
(Ingo and T ... and Bro!... are surely relieved).

They must be good when the queue is that long, right?
Some sweet stuff, didn´t bother me :-)

The Russian ferris wheel built in 1928 sure is a beauty, no?
Three years ago I went - never again.
Turned out not only me but Niece´s Mama as well is afraid of heights.
The men waited in front.
Never.Again ;-)

But he sure makes an appearance, no?

Back home, looking up if I somehow really missed my truffle-stall, I found this:

Well, dunno.
Isn´t that era supposed to end?

Btw. I tried cauliflower in a beer-dough-crust.
Very fatty. Semi-yummy. Not again.

D'oh! Where Is Lisa?

... and Maggie is missing also.
But I finally found the Tic Tacs :-)

And, really, Homer tastes like a Donut!

And, except (my) Marge all have three expressions:

Alas, I always get the ones not "perfect", right?

These I left in the store, though:

Cause, a) it´s chocolate and b).... we won´t be here for the season.

Of Jumps

I went to Bro´s place to get the glasses for driving in the dark and the sunglasses for Perth (bifocals for old peeps!).

Grabbed Döner for us whilst Bro got the big Niece, had lunch and went back to our hometown to get the Wee One.

First time the big Niece wanted to go to sports since diagnosis of diabetis 1, so we had only little time for a walk.
Bro asked, how about the graveyard (which is close by) and both girls yelled "jaaaaa!", Wee One even throwing up her arms.

I have no idea why. Or how Bro created this. I reckon Niece has no memory of her "Omi". She was 16 months when Mum left us.

Well, they also didn´t run to them...

And that despite her blood sugar level was rather bad.
She handles it all so well, was even a bit proud of the devices she could explain to me.
Wee One watches with a serious face.

Despite her Sister who really jumped into our arms Wee One made a huge jump in language.
Hello, I was just there and she was difficult to understand, two weeks go by ehhhh voilà - easy!
Mostly.

Hehe, see Niece running into Daddy´s arms again in the bckground? So much energy!

Wee One also understands so much, it´s amazing!
Funny was: I filmed her Sis running into Daddy´s arms, then bend down and filmed her.
She saw the cam directed at her, smiled and went around to see the result.
Ummm, no, wasn´t a pic but a movie, Sweety!

Lightning the fire wasn´t for Big Niece, but with help from Daddy...

Dunno. Still hurts to go there.

Funny was, btw... Niece had a surprise for me.
Behind her back.

Produced a play cup and a spoon, I got my coffee.
But that was just one hand, what´s in the other?
What do you have with coffee?

I couldn´t but joke, a cigarette?.
THAT look! Priceless :-)

If only a very short visit, it was good.
Wee One even kissed me good-bye.

Guess next time I meet her she can like really talk!

Bruno Is Back

I have to admit I do like to read the weekend-ads.
And from time to time also fall for something.

So, yesterday I walked over 3 km one way to get...

Sadly it doesn´t smell of roast apple, lets see how the taste of this punch/glogg is.
Let´s hope it´s good. I bought three bottles and one is meant to be a pressie.
I also got this, just couldn´t resist, yes, another clock!

Gee, the way back was hard as I had no backpack, just 2 bags.
I had to stop now and then cause my arms sure did hurt.
Took the cam and... this is truly Germany :-(

A big "garden" and you´re not allowed to play on it.

And by chance I also found Carl Friedrich Gauss´s home:

No, I didn´t want to move that ugly container...

The title?

Bruno waits to get assembled again to welcome everybody to the xmas-market :-)
