(G)Olden Times

Saw this the other day.
It´s crazy how kids these days celebrate when they have their "Abi".
I didn´t (you could´ve guessed, right? ;-)...)
I was trying to find out what to study best.

Well actually in 1995 I had finished my first semester, had a semester off and Ingo and I went to Australia the first time.
Which was crazy.
We were together not even a year, yet decided to live 23/7 in a car for six months.
And my parents not only let me, they payed for it, too.

Cheapy me brought money back, btw.

Was I disappointed of Australia!!!

Well, at first. Starting in the South was a stupid idea.
Broome....

Beautiful times.

Or here, Bowling Green Bay NP:

It was quite a journey...

And we survived, surprisingly.
We collected firewood with bare hands and never checked our shoes before hopping in.

Nice how half a car in a wall brings back such memories...

Just heard on the radio today that the school leavers from Perth are on their way to celebrate in Bali. Kids have it easy and fun today!
Wonderful to revisit old and good memories Iris.

Bali?! What do they get when they finish university?!
Ceazy.
But, yay for the memories, you are right about that Sami :-)

It's amazing what triggers memories Iris, sometimes even just a perfume!

That´s true, Grace, the brain is some tool, huh.

Just think if it had been a whole car. :-)
