A Pessimist After All?

I clear my office.

The customer, VW, whom I worked for for over 15 years does not let us know if they keep me.

Teamleader T asked, Boss asked.

I go on holiday and have no idea what awaits me when I come back.

I know.

Third-world-problem, but still a problem.

What about my car?
If I may work here, I don´t need it, but how do I visit family?

I know, there are solutions.

But do you treat people like that?

15 years!

I think this is one reason why we have a hard time atm.

I´m really afraid to loose my job and with it T (whose girlfriend is still around, she still fights cancer).
Bro says it´s too much for me, listening to, caring for T.
But what can I do. I like T, I know from first hand how it is. And he sits 2 meters away from me.
Who cares for T when we´re gone on holiday, no one?
No one. He says no one ever asks how he is coping. Most people don´t have "endurance".
October 2015 she fell sick and everybody was there. Now it´s just me, no kidding.
What happens when his girlfriend finally goes.
I nearly was in that situation with Ingo in 2008.

Yes, he is my teamleader. But also kinda my friend...

Well. Blogging helps.
What is a lost job compared to a lost love. The latter is sure, it´s just such a very long "final phase".
Why do good people loose out so much?

I have today and tomorrow off again.

Sorry to hear your job is still on the line...After 15 years it's sad they can't give you a straight answer!

Yes, it´s sad. Volkswagen disappoints in many ways these days.

Oh gosh Iris, nothing is the same these days! Job security seems to be a thing of the past 😶 Hopefully all will be well when you get back from your trip. Sad for your friend though, life is dreadfully unfair at times xx
