R U Hungry? Sporty?

This is Wanneroo Rd in Madeley, right in front our Caravan Park.

Where we are...

...to go to Warwick (pronounced "Warrick"). And then Perth. Or Leederville... or Joondalup.

I had a (plastic) skateboard. I went so fast on a road downhill where cars drive, the wheels started to spin and I luckily flew off to the right in the grass.
One reason I have no kids!

Snacks, though?! Make yourself a slice of bread or eat an apple!

Gosh. I am old.
And I am thankful for that, too. I am a happy kid of the early 70s.

Would you like to be a kid now?
That would really interest me!
TV on demand - nothing to look forward to.
I love my Sunday-ritual with Löwenzahn, Die Maus and the Fairy Tale.

Hello from the old(en) front, this is for Tom´s Signs2.

Back in the day we had no protection whatsoever - you?

I Know?

... at CBD Perth, Forrest Chase, near MYER, "where else?" - is that still their slogan? It was in 1995.
Isn´t it beautiful?

Run by volunteers. Once, years ago, I had a question and in the end solved the "problem", teaching them.
Yes, me, Miss-no-orientation-whatsoever!!!

Our first MYER we found in this crazy shopping mall in 1995:

This:

Kinda a mural, too? This was 1999. I drove Ingo nuts. I WANTED!!!! EVERY!!! James Blish book on Star Trek original series - so we went to EVERY second hand book shop throughout Australia.
I have them all.

You know... sitting in the Outback after a long drive, reading one of his books was like watching the series!

Thank you, Ingo - we have the complete set!!!

Have a great start to the new week!

Sadly google lens couldn´t find the artist - "ly"? More to come and yes, some I may have posted (ages ago) before.

Have a good start to the new week.

What a Wonderful World

In this way too cold Summer let me take you to Perth CBD in their Summer and share a refreshing beer/ice-tea /-coffee whatever you like - here we at at The Belgian.

Isn´t it just wonderful to be that "rich" you can afford to just sit back in the daytime at a pub and enjoy a fresh tap-beer? See the world go by. In peace and joy.
And here... dream on for real! I still hope Summer´ll come back!

Hope, if in your place it´s Summer it´s a better one than here.
I´m having a tough time atm.
Sick, not talking and the customer won´t move - and it´s cold. I could just... cry. I know others are off worse. And, as you see, I try to look back at better times.
When we talked, were fit and I thought April 1st I have my job back.
It´s a pattern, huh. Politics suck everywhere, business is fragile. I am frightened.

Frightened am stuck and if or when Ingo goes back to work he´ll work not 100% but much more and a heart attack is just around a corner. For a boss who not even once visited the premises.

Time to make fun of myself, right? Remember the Ice Cream Truck in our Caravan park
The driver came right back so I was forced to go out in my PJs!

And yet... the next Sunday he was back! Yes, like that in front of the neighbors - so what?
You gotta love Elmo!

Maybe I go get ice-cream and Summer comes back!

Get Horsey, Dragon

It´s the year of the horse - sign in our Shopping Centre in Madeley.

 Have a chat... say....

See, they don´t do you any harm. De facto...

Turn on the sound (but not too loud):

These are for Toms´s Signs2.

To another too cold day...

Let´s Go To Leederville

On the way to Perth I hopped off Transperth and wandered through mural-heaven in Leederville. There is a youth center by the carpark and the kids are creative.

Just like at the Markethall in Braunschweig you hardly find artist´s names.

And for a change, as I found him, the Black Swan takes a break, instead:

Henry 🦁

 Have a wonderful Monday!

Carbs

AI says: "In Germany, there are officially more than 3,200 different bread specialties. This globally unique diversity is even recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.

The incredible selection can be attributed to the variety of grain types (especially rye, wheat and spelt) and regional baking traditions."

When we .. I first came to Australia (Ingo´d visited with his Brother 2 years earlier already).. you can imagine how shocked I was.
There was toast bread/white bread and pumpernickel in 1995. WHAT?!
In the Asherton Table Lands we stayed an extra day cause they had a French baker who made petit pain, Brötchen.

Now... the world is one - you get all sorts of bread also in Australia.

These days I eat rather low carb but as a German no carb is no option.
A good slice of bread here and there, hmmm-ya.

Oh and nooooo.... June is done. Welcome July, please slow down!!!

When you take the tram in Braunschweig most places are happily announced in German and English. Not this. It rather yells "Schloss."
The castle has some history and the older ones here, like me, are not really a fan, you can read it´s wild history here. And finally:

Only 18C/64F, cloudy. July, you have to do better!!!!

What´s your Brekkie today?
