T STands For Good!

I could resist to buy this cuppa. I am tough, right? My ticket to Elizabeth´s T...
I´ll bake carrot-bread soon, though...

The journal reflecting past week:

Monday: Harry was introduced at "Death in Paradise" - well I knew, thanks to bloggy-friends! :-)
Other... on hold. And cloudy, sadly no rain.

Tuesday: The Sun is out! And I got plants, super-cheap, because... New girl at Rewe-self-checkout. I sure did confuse her at first cause I always say Hello and Good bye - that is a human being, right?! By now she smiles at me. The plants failed the system as in price was not detected - she gave them to me for €1,99 each! - with a smile. Be nice, it "pays off"! To the bees! To smiles!

 "Insects are crazy about me!"

Wednesday: Did a bit training and wee.... I was sad to see the first character of Death in Paradise go, but I really like the new one and... Harry, so sweet! The music, sooo happy! The French-British accent. Did I mention the music?
And weee.... I gave a thank you to the mammography-team via e-mail  and got two (!)  answers, including the question if they may publish it on their website - yes, of course!
Hey, this is for free!!!!! How´s it like in your place? I get invited and it does cost nothing! And I know I am healthy!

Also got this note via e-mail:
"Our ANZAC Day Trading Hours - Karrinyup Shopping Centre: 'The centre will be closed Saturday 25 April for ANZAC Day.'"  Last time I was there was years ago and I am back in Germany, but, thanks!

Thursday: Huh-boy. The mammography-man really answered again and I am online. With name. Full name. Well, if it helps other women to go through the icky procedure you´re welcome.
Went to Lidl and got "Jeggins" - I am too old for this. There is a "button" and "pockets and all is fake. I also got leggins, they are fine! Aww, well I can go to work (hope, hope, hope!) in first!

Friday: I finally stained the wood Ingo brought me (he has a car). Now I tinker about... going precise or by chance..
The architect/engineer in me fights, I tend to the latter in my artier soul and will show you the outcome soon.
First German-T-Shirt-Day!!!! Was fine on the balcony - to White-Horse Rewe I felt cold and others all wore jackets.
The self-check-out woman there, too, was confused by my greetings. I don´t get it! When people need help, they address them but they do not greet them first?!

Weekend: Saturday: Ingo... was devastated. He went to the butcher. Generation Z - do I have to say more?! "Not my job". Look:

 "Not my job"... Ingo managed.

They had "Take a Girl Child to Work Day" (in Germany also boys attend) at Ingo´s plant, Ingo told me. One kid had headphones on!!! I.Beg.You.Pardon?!
No way you cannot say "I´m not interested" in any other way - headphones!!!
Generation Alpha is even worse, huh. Glad I´m a steady X and Ingo is a Babyboomer.
Maybe you read my Friday-post how I grew up, humble.
These days school kids - every day! - buy sweets and all before school at the grocery. Bet they do not work for that. 'nough ranting, time does not stand still. But right now the future looks grim in more than one way...
Ingo did a GREAT job, the roulades were to die for.

Sunday: Kinda sad. Ukraine is nearly forgotten in German TV-News, a side note, Iran it is. Ukraine is our neighbor. Protecting us as well. I managed the board/shelf by myself. Good feeling.

Will show you soon, will not make more noise on a Sunday, but, hey... managed on my own.

Munchy... of course:

No sauce cause sauce was no yum. I´m not saucy anyways ;-)

 Henry 🦁

To another good one - started well!

Hugs and love to you.

Thank you, dear friend Linda! Harry is so sweet. Yesterday he and the inspector shared (a) popcorn. He´s getting a real pet-lizard, roaming free. Hugs and love on the way.

Oh, thank you, I´d rather call it "sketches", though...

Will have to check out Death in Paradise, new to me. Love your sketches. Self-check out is the bane of my existence. I only have 2 hands!! And I have a bag full of stuff already!
Glad I'm a baby boomer.

I had a good chat with a friend last week and she was complaining about Gen Z's. Ha ha that you should bring them up too it too funny. And you asked about sowing seeds when it's cold. Some plants like kale and peas like the cold and don't like the heat. Well peas don't like the heat and kale doesn't care. One year I found kale still growing under the snow. But most seeds it is still a little too cold to sow. Glad the roulade was delicious. That's a terrible cut job like you said. Have a wonderful rest of your T day Iris. hugs-Erika

Oh what a lovely drawing of Harry. He is so cute. I love Death in Paradise. The inspectors change throughout the series and the staff too. Sometimes old staff members come back for a Christmas edition. But it's all good fun. The series was filmed in Guadeloupe and the inspector's beach house is taken down every time at the end of a season's filming.
Yes, I get yearly mammograms because I had breast cancer. I have quite big boobs so it's not that comfortable but the staff are very nice.
Yes, the Dutch don't like the Germans but I think the younger generation don't so much. I've gotten over it as my night buddie was German ( in nursing a night buddie is very important as you spend 77 hours together when doing a week of night shift so you have to get on). Claudia and I became the best of friends. We worked together for years until she moved back to Germany. And you are my blog friend, so there!
My mouth is watering at your roulade. My dad used to do the roulade in our house when I was growing up.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

It´s a great series, Death in Paradise! And yay to baby boomers - I would not want to live without! Well if nice person at the check-out I go there and have a chat.

Iris Flavia said...

LOL, yes and the Alpha!!!! Thank you - I´ll wait with the sunflower-seeds!!! And keep the bee-flowers inside as well for now. To a great day, hugs!

Iris Flavia said...

Oh - you make me binge-watching (though atm I´m reading a paper-book!).
Ow. Yes, to mammograms - I got mine reduced and it still is very uncomfortable! And the staff is nice :-)
I always mess up those countries but in Denmark a seagull shit on by back! LOL, still I like the people. And Seagulls...
There is one roulade left, if you´re quick ... you´re very welcome! Ingo´ll warm it up around 5:30-ish... Happy T-Day

Great mug and ohhh Harry the lizard is fabulous. Yes, be nice and get a price reduction on plants. LOL Peas are a good plant for cooler weather. I had peas grow crazy even after a freeze. I will have to check Death in Paradise. Henry looks very good here. Have a nice day today.

Cutting beef very thin and evenly is tricky unless it is part frozen. Could the child be wearing headphones because it was noisy so the ears need protecting? I like your new flowers and hope you get bees.
I don't like leggings and jeggings are awful too. I prefer proper jeans and have some but they don't fit yet. Need to lose another ten kg. The gap between button and buttonhole is smaller now though 😀

Mammograms are free here too, I get them but I hate them, they hurt.

Iris Flavia said...

Thank you, Eileen, to fun :-) And to a great week for all of us!

Thank you, Christine.

Thank you, it´s Janosch´s Tripey tiger-duch, tiger and the frog :-) - The trip to Panama is available in English on You Tube, see here.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, it was hard not buy it! Henry says thank you!

Iris Flavia said...

That is good :-)

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, at "our" butcher - closed for good thanks to Covid - I wanted beef really thin to make Jerky and they said, "please come back in a couple of hours, we need to partially freeze it to do the job properly". This butcher-place is in a grocery and ... a hole?! And this was for roulades, not that difficult.
No, that kiddo with the headphones listened very clearly to music or such.
So far the flowers are inside. 4C we have, yikes!
I´ll show the jeggins soon, you´ll be surprised, in a good way, I hope!.
Losing weight, yes... The will is there...

YES, hurt!!!! But ... we are safe.

I love "Death in Paradise." I was glad the King spoke of Ukraine and reminded people of the importance of support.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes to both! As Klitschko reminded... Putin was in East Berlin already as KGB.. We do not want that again - they protect us all!
