T STands For BeauTiful Rain!

... as is Blogger, less sweet.
Had a post. And blogger took it all away, and why not? It´s for free... So.. anew...
I try to be (less) sweet and join Elizabeth´s T today!

The journal:

Monday: Well, I was not singing, nor dancing but I learned: my sneakers are not rainproof!

I went through lovely, heavy rain to ALDIschönen Sachen, as my T calls it ("all the nice things" as we often went together and we often grabbed non-food-articles). I got fun socks! Will show some SITAR.
We have May and it was so cold I could see my breath coming out of my nose - am I a "hot chick"?

Tuesday: Door-bell. A post-mail-woman, packed up like it was deepest winter, oh I felt so for/with her. Glasses fogged, she had a hard time to do her job! Glovies in the way, too, argh.
I.Can.Not.Leave.The.House cause Ingo gets mail all the time!

Wednesday: Bea at the check-out, so I went. Me: T-Shirt, jumper, winter-jacket. Dude in front: Shorts, armless shirt. Bea to me when he was done: "You freeze just seeing him, huh?!" He... no kidding... ´d bought 24 eggs - egg... German word also for "balls", that´s what I said. Laughter :-)
Later EDEKA. Cash-out. Met a women. We had a nice loooong chat after.

Thursday:  Ingo gave me a new "TV", mine was "broken"  - it had the "no sound-symbol" and after searching 45 minutes I gave up. How dumb can one be. I by accident hit that button on the remote!!!
But now I have a better program and learned.
Other lazy day off as in public holiday.

Friday: Went to Jysk to get a matress and Ingo´s chair, a nice 1 hour-walk and they sent me a taxi-driver - despite my request and explanation how heavy the stuff to transport is... with a bad back, just like mine.
Went for help, all good but then at home... I ruined mine.
Yikes for getting old.

Weekend: Saturday: Back-pain. Ingo assembled his chair. 24kg, what chair weighs that much?! That´s half my weight, no wonder my back said good bye.
Ingo gave me our IKEA-mammoth to rest my feet on.
And...

Sunday: Löwenzahn about bees.

Die Maus was wonderful:

Ever since I watched Die Maus (1975) Christoph wears green shirts!

Interesting fact about him: "Since 2002, he has led the adult course 'The Mouse Principle: The Art of Explaining It Simply' every two years at the Federal Academy for Cultural Education in Wolfenbüttel." - Must look out for that!!
Wolfenbüttel is 15 km from here.

And then one of my fav fairy tales, King Frog!

Heinrich, der Wagen bricht!“ „Nein, mein Herr, der Wagen nicht, es ist ein Band von meinem Herzen, das da lag in großen Schmerzen, als Ihr in dem Brunnen saßt, als ein Frosch Ihr wart.

"Heinrich, the carriage is breaking!" "No, sir, not the carriage, it is a band from my heart that lay there in great pain when you sat in the well, when you were a frog."

What is (one of) your fav fairy tale(s)?

Munchy:

Waffles for ice-cream!

Henry 🦁

 Happy T-Day!

If I want furniture, a TV, or food, I order it online and have it delivered. They even install furniture and TV and haul away old furniture and appliances. This goes for refrigerators, stoves, anything. Sometimes, I have to pay extra, but it’s worth it. Heck, I am too old to carry stuff like that. Hope your back pain goes away. Chronic back pain is awful.

That rain is much needed in my area. It is still so dry. But not today. It is going to be hot. But I loved listening to the rain in your video. Very relaxing. And nice journal pages too. I need to catch up on mine; I'm not much behind by a couple of days. Got to do it before I forget-ha ha. Have a super T day. hugs-Erika

Yes, that is my plan now, too!

Indeed.

Wish it was hot here, too - I´m still in a jumper over my t-shirt! Wishing you rain, soon... and a great T-Day, hugs

Thank you, apart from wet feet it was wonderful, Cheers

Aw, Henry! It sounds like a pretty good week, apart from the back issues and soggy feet. We had one awful rain yesterday. Good for the water but bad to be out in. (I was!)

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, apart from the back, it´s awful.... never again, next time: delivery! The soggy feet were no issue ;-)
Seems like we´re both not made of sugar!

Eier. I knew what it meant 🤣 Der Froschkönig oder der eiserne Heinrich. One of my favorite stories. I like how the princess threw the frog at a wall when he was being obnoxious and that turned him into a prince. That's how it's done! Happy T Day

Shirt-guy had big balls!
Please don´t throw frogs at walls! 🐸 This 🤴 really is not true 😉 - not that I tried!

Wow! You have been busy. All that walking and carrying things and in the flippen rain. Sorry your back went out. So, Ingo gets a lot of mail. Do you have to be home to receive it? The same here when it's cold, some men are in shorts and t-shirts burrrr... I love all of your journal pages. Nice to get flowers. Rest your back and watch some shows on your new TV.

Hello Iris,
We could use some rain here! Sorry about your back, I hope you feel better soon. I loved all your sketches, well done.
Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, if I´m not home the mailmen just throw the package in the hall for anyone to take away especially when some idiots are too lazy to close the main door when taking their bikes into the cellar.
Yes, some see: May, so, short clothes!
Thank you, the journal is still fun and keeps me sane.
Well, it´s not a TV but a software on my PC :-)
Next time: Delivery!

Thank you, Eileen, oh, hoping you get rain soon, here it´s again on the way To a great week ahead!

You had a busy week. This winter we would see a few people wearing shorts at -20c.
Must be from a different planet. Fun artwork. Here’s to dry feet and a happy back for you, Iris.
Happy T Day!

Sorry I'm late visiting. Massive storms yesterday and I turned my computer off to save it.

LOVE your drawings. I would gladly trade you my weather for yours. It's really hot here.

SO sorry about your back. Be sure to rest and don't put pressure on it.

Thanks for sharing your latte with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.

A chair that heavy should have been delivered and a mattress too should be delivered. The rain soundswonderful, though I know you wish for summer. I sometimes accidentally hit the "mute" button on the remote too.

I hope your back is getting better by now. I must admit, I always have my stuff delivered. I'm not carrying stuff around at my age.
Yes, it's cold here too.
I haven't seen much sun this holiday. Today (In Istanbul) it's even raining! We are going on a food tour soon. I'm ready to go so I fill these spare minutes with doing some comments.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Yes, that was really dumb with my back! Thank you, from Henry and I.

Iris Flavia said...

Thank you, yes, some just dress after calendar, not real temps! The back will keep me down a while, I reckon...

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, better to take the computer off!!!
Thank you, dear Elizabeth, the drawings is the only "art" I feel to do atm.
Back due to dumbness!

Iris Flavia said...

Thank you :-)

Next time: The rather expensive delivery (Ingo has a car, but we got into a "fight", so I decided to go by myself). To rain, no matter what season and Summer in Germany... aw, well?
I never hit the remote-button before!!! Hilarious! I searched the software for 45 minutes!!!

Iris Flavia said...

Thank you, Ingo reckons three weeks back-fun. Delivery is expensive, but I´ll pay next time! Sad it´s cold. A food tour! Oh, atm I cannot eat. Must be the stress, but I wish you yummy fun and better weather!
