Tuesday I went to meet T for brunch at IKEA.
Rain was predicted and even if I would´ve walked, but he said "when angles travel the sun shines" :-)
It´s a 5 km walk one way and I had enough time to take some pics (as google is always wrong giving me the time!).
Seesh, the other day, after these colors made me think of Christmas I really found this!
I know, every year the same question, but really!
My younger Niece´s Birthday pops up soon and Christmas is already all around - how are kids supposed to get the magic?
Spekulatius and all is already available - aren´t you sick of it come Cristmas "for real"?!
Anyhows. 5 km... some nice things on the way!
Even though "they" dumped me I have to admit...
And a cool ad, I passed by, too!
Well. If this was real, it would so not be "cool", certainly.... some ads are... mindless in the aftermath?
But it reminded me of how in 1999 we got hit by a stone, too.
Ingo cooked with dried garlic and had no idea you need only a wee bit.
The next day we let the car get fixed and Ingo went near, asking how it´s done.
The smell of old garlic must´ve been horrible but the guy fixing our windscreen (the place was called Windscreen 'O Broken!) took it like a Champ ;-)
I was 10 minutes early (despite all the stops to take pics) and T was already waiting, oh, those darn Germans, huh ;-)
Always more than on time!
We talked like forever, went through IKEA, got lost, I got the chair I wanted, T got two he actually did not need... we were like an old couple ("hmmm, nice... but. No, I don´t need this candle" (him)).
He talked me into getting a cushion and he was right, too!
The chair felt quite at home - he (in German it´s male) was driven home as T refused to let me walk 5 km with a chair ;-)
Oh, I was in the car also.
Just saying.
Also the chair felt home due to meeting his brother who is with me since 2001...
Ingo always says I need a more comphy chair, but, noooo, I cannot let Emil go to ... wherevever.
He´s my faithful companion, right!

No kidding -- I saw full on Christmas (not just crafts but everything -- giant trees with lights, garlands, ornaments, the whole deal) in LATE JULY at Hobby Lobby. Unconscionable. Over marketed. In the states we have Labor Day, Halloween and Thanksgiving before Christmas. I hate that. Much as I love decorating and all, I hate the early push.
But I ADORE IKEA! I need a visit -- sounds like a good day and I love the chair.

And the greeting card shops have already had Christmas stuff in for a month. Admittedly I'm at a point in my life where I hate that holiday and just want it to be over.
The other day I walked down an aisle in a store (not even a craft store) that had Halloween decorations on one side and Christmas on the other. It used to be the Christmas decorations didn't come out for sale till after Halloween. Not so these days. We have those cookies year round here. They are called windmill and I LOVE them.
I love how you name your chairs. The lion is a beauty today, too.

Jeanie, late July even?!!!!! That´s horrible. IKEA, well, with T it´s fun, Ingo hates it!
William, thank you, and yes, we do not celebrate anymore, either. I had to when my Mom was still there, but now it´s just some days off.
Elizabeth oh, all year round with that cookies?! I like them, but I can´t even have a whole package, too sweet!
Haha, no, IKEA names the chairs, it´s Swedish names, too.
