"Poffertjes are a traditional Dutch batter treat. Resembling small, fluffy pancakes, they are made with yeast and buckwheat flour. Typically, poffertjes are a sweet treat, served with powdered sugar and butter, and sometimes syrup or advocaat. However, there is also a savoury variant with gouda cheese." (Wiki)
Sadly not here - I´d given the cheesy a go, cause not many people had a sweet tooth... but, alas... In my opinion they didn´t belong there as they did not use Mum (Mumme).
Bought one for an Aussie-friend. Too long ago. He drove us "home" to Madeley from the airport Perth back then (he also worked there).
Miss him and all of them/you...
Mumme (Wiki) "Brunswick Mum ... was originally an alcoholic beer from Brunswick in Germany, which ranged from weak to strong depending on the brewing method. One of the first black beers recorded in history.
Mum originated in the Late Middle Ages. The composition gave the beer a long shelf life that allowed a wide distribution; Mum became the most important export from Brunswick and, in the early modern period was shipped to places such as India and the Caribbean. The drink is still sold in Brunswick where since autumn 2008, for the first time in about 200 years, it is produced in alcoholic variants."
But I gave up, went into the city and got a...
... from a super-busy Muslim restaurant.I was one of a few non-Muslims.
Now, you expect I was not served, right? (happened at the international food festival!!)
My head was "naked", no man by my side but... I was served.
It took forever.
Cause... it was made fresh!!! YUMMY, but way too much and re-heated it was crap.
Next time I´ll ask for a mini-burger - maybe they do this - they were nice, as the Muslims where I got my extra-small nuggets!
Next I went to a store where I found something I´ll show you on Tuesday (cause I need artist´s help) - it was hiiiiigh up.
First men I saw I asked for help. Muslims.
Me. Woman without a man by the side.
The taller one did not speak German, his friend translated and the tall one happily gave me what I asked for.
Got also these:
Aren´t they fun? Also... easy to sort.
I plain hate Ingo´s socks. Black. Minor differences, takes you forever to sort them (yes, this is my job, Ingo is the fix-it-guy).
And for brrrr...
Next I nearly ran into a tall... African man.
To my surprise he said "Entschuldigung" (sorry) and dumb me answered "no worries"...
Prejudices!!!! I expected he speaks English, but he really said it in German (maybe German women tend to run into him, LOL).
He gave me a smile.
As did his girlfriend/wife, also African.
I think we will learn to be ONE some time, huh, what do YOU think?
I peeked. There are no answers (CERTAINLY!)... uh-oh, the next year will be tough, Simpsons-wise!!!
And this one... WITH answers on the backside again, I enjoy this calendar a lot:
Ya know. I took off so disappointed Ingo did not want to join me. But then... it was quality time for myself.
I looked around as long as I wanted. I took my time to decide... do I need this, do I really want this?
With Ingo you have to be quick or he loses his temper.
You saw above.
I did not walk the whole "mile".
There were too many people.
Maybe I go this arvo. Maybe not.
Tomorrow the super-stress will start again.
I´ll do anything we match the due date.
I am afraid we won´t.
I want to keep this job.
And this team.
Addendum: This was the Mumme-Mile, Christmas Market starts December 1st.
