Pools - R U CHIK´N?

 

Today I join Rain´s Thursday Art and Dinner Date with "Pools". Soon, huh - let´s hope for a hot summer!

 

And for the dinner part Ingo served:

 

 

Reckon he must be in love, the omelette was pretty salty - is that a German saying for too salty, being in love?

 

Either way, the Schnitzel looks yummy, huh, here is a close-up and... surprise, ...

And really, could´ve been chicken as well.

 

Here is how it´s done:

"When making Valess skim milk products, we first create curds, which are the first step in cheesemaking. We then add algae extract and calcium to create fiber. Herbs, spices, salt, and binding agents such as oat fiber and wheat flour are added to the fiber. We also add a little iron, as this is an important nutrient in meat. All of this is blended into a kind of dough, which is used to make Valess's chicken-like products.

The dough is then shaped into the specific product, filled with a filling, and coated with breading. The products are then heated to ensure food safety, packaged, and refrigerated."

 

In the long run, though, I think insects it will be as veggie-stuff costs a lot of energy to produce, too, according to a docu I watched. 

 

I think REWE or EDEKA has insect-burgers, maybe give it a go some time. Cause... we´re not chicken, are we?

The New Coke Wasn't Well-Received

Cheers? Do you remember this? I do not. Did you drink "Coca-Cola"? In my family we did not have this "fancy stuff". We ran cheap.  And that was OK.

But, just yesterday my friend fK said I am not cheap. Mentioning Perth every two years was a point she sure could make!

But then. look at the neighbor. At least twice a day he goes out for a coffee. By himself, cause he has no one.

Yes, I admit, once in a while you find me by myself, too, having a craft beer. In Freo, maybe, or Northbridge. Ingo still even mentions this 🤣

 

"My" waiter at Guido´s in Braunschweig: "All by yourself today?!" ... "...!"... "A Poretti?"

(Duuuuude, yes,) "and a Calabrese, please!" ... "😘"  (Italians, you know?)

But, sometimes I WANT, or I even kinda need "my own space", I am not lonely.

Just sitting in, say 40C ",which is 104 Farenheit" (to refer to how Jamie explains the world) and have a cool craft beer, watching the world passing by.

No Coke, my own little luxury...
