I braved up big yesterday. I did go in!
After I finally got there!!!
See, Ingo didn´t want to come along and fK was too afraid, also.
So, as I am still not allowed sporting about I slowly went to the city and got myself ...
...ort, public transport, we still have paper-tickets.
Others are more modern:
We have these for public transport in Perth since... 2013? You put money on and if you come back but 2 years later or 5, all good!
In Braunschweig you can only purchase yearly tickets like that and when you do not use them... money gone!
So. I looked up how to get to "Messegelände", 413, I asked the ticket-seller to confirm this and asked where this is, he sent me to the left.
Nada. I really looked hard, nothing, went into a shop: A Turkish guy really tried hard to help me, asked a customer, no one had an idea. I was sent to the "immigration authority" two doors to the left. It was the "Citizen service" and... closed.
I asked two teenagers, also Turkish, but that was better than the half drunken dude or the dumb-looking lady.
Really, I´d looked up every tram-station!
One of the boys... thinking.... looking at his pal.... "413 is a BUS, no?" - "Yes, let us help her finding it!"
Who would have thought that?!!! I missed the bus but now knew what to wait for.
Hopped on and thought, naaaaah, where are we going???
Asked the guy next to me, an Arabian dude? Him: "Sorry, this is the wrong direction!" - the woman in front (Greek?) explained to me where to hop off and on again. None looked "German", it was hilarious, all spoke German, all were nice!!!
Asked the bus driver - female - if this is correct and off I went.
I hear only on my left ear, was difficult to understand what the next stop will be as an African woman with yelling baby´d hopped on, but suddenly a boy jumped up in excitement and ran to the door!

But on my own I had contact to so many nice people! Critters, right, living, great beings!
And Ingo was not even mad at me.

Ingo is nearly 8 years older than me. We chose, what we did, huh, and they chose us.

Cool exhibit
That was quite an adventure on the transportation system, Iris. We have cards that you load money onto and then it is good forever (or until you use up all the money). I'm glad that you went.

These paper thingies you have to slip in. Be quick, it´s hard when the vehicle (tram or bus) had taken off already! Germany...

LOVE the dinosaurs and would happily walk through those big teeth. I'm happy that so many people nicely helped you. I think Germany should get public transport cards just like the rest of the world. It's time to move forward Germany! My card is a "Seniors" card and public transport is free if you are 60 or more and have such a card, but only in Adelaide. Other cities ahve different versions, but can only be used in that city. If I travel to Perth or Port Pirie, my card is useless there. To me, this is silly. A senior card should be able to be used nation wide. We don't stop being a Senior person just by leaving our city.
