You Always...

Crazy one:
My former teamlead fC said I stumble "all the time" into the funniest things.

I asked Ingo to help me carry the bathroom door into the cellar in 2011. Just took up space and we do not take showers when we have visitors, loo is extra.

Yesterday I was done with the shower and´d cleaned up, glass crystal clear, I´m still in there, door bell goes off.

Main-door is right opposite.
No?
Bell again. No? I´m in there, naked! No door.

Police.

Ingo is a former firefighter and quick, went outside.
His car got bumped into, nothing serious and some nice person informed the police.

10 minutes earlier or later and I´d had no story.

My bathroom is far away from the front door but closer to the back door and I have a similar story: in the shower, turned off the water and heard loud banging on my back porch steel gate. Wrapped a huge towel around and went to see it was police who said please get dressed and open the front door. They had been knocking but I didn't hear through the water. I sat in the living room dressed but with dripping hair while they came in with a SEARCH WARRANT and went through every room and cupboard, it seems someone had used my address to order illegal items from the internet. I never mentioned it on my blog, maybe I should have made a funny post about it. must be four or five years ago now.

That must have been a nice person indeed. Funny situation!

Oh, My God!!! We do have it with the police in "bad moments"! "Please get dressed" sounds familiar (the fire here)- your experience is MUCH WORSE. Oh, hell. I´d freaked out! LOL. Dripping hair. Yes, after Ingo went out I grabbed a towel, dried the body and got.dressed! (I didn´t know what was up).
Glad we have police, but really?!
You made me laugh and I do not feel so alone anymore! Thank you!

And yes, POST! Who knows who else was in such a situation and´d feel better knowing they are not alone!

Ack, but not being naked!

NOT a predicament I would ever care to be in. Glad you had Ingo there. All I have are two cats!

Yes, glad he was quick! Was not funny! That people never understand you might be on the loo or in the shower!

I did have a little chuckle because that's something that would happen to me. The bathroom door is still on, but I never shut it. I worry that one day someone will be standing at the glass outside door one day when I have to make the dash upstairs from the shower (which is on the first floor) to the second floor to get my clothes. Because I never bring them into the bathroom with me either when I shower. Sorry about Ingo's car bump though. hugs-Erika

I always look at the layout of rooms and sightlines from door to door and especially into bathrooms. Our house has no sightline from the ground floor or front door up to the second floor — the stairs turn on a landing. I would be very uncomfortable with your layout! And I see why you were in trouble!

You could always tell the police as you stand in your towel, raise your hands, towel falls to the floor: nothing to hide here. 🤣

What a situation, Iris. It is good that Ingo was there.

Glad that Ingo handled the situation.

Good that Ingo handled the situation.
(Gosh! Just realised that's what Bill said!)

All the best Jan

Thank you for that chuckle!!! Hugs!

Well, it was what we could afford and the bathroom is not used that often. We had a look at a condo that was wonderful. And expensive!

Iris Flavia said...

The towel was on the wall! 🤣

Iris Flavia said...

Indeed, RedPat!!! They were very persistent!

So yes!!!!

You are both right! LOL!

Glad Ingo was quick! The shower looks so nice! But too bad about the car. I hope it wasn't too bad.

It´s luckily Ingo´s car, no company car, so... I always had company ones and then it´s really expensive.
