In An Octopus´s Garden...

Some mentioned I was missing in last Braunschweig-mural, so here I am!

I live in the West Ringgleis-area and was made by students from the HBK.
That´s the "second largest College of Fine Arts in Germany". (wiki)
(Hmmm. I never knew.  The things you learn through blogging, he?)

I even can salute you with a "chapeau"!
(This is "a metaphorical meaning, Chapeau! is an internationally used exclamation to express respect to a personality encountered (historically, persons of status up to the first half of 20th century wore hats that were lifted to greet respectfully)." - wiki).

My respect and thanx to anyone who sees me - or even takes a pic... or adds me to Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.
Most just rush by, it´s sad.

Henry ๐Ÿฆ says: "Thank you"

We hope for a hot summer, so we can indeed go swimming, if but in a lake!
And yes... two posts again, as I joined Jan, too (if late / to sweet dinosaurs).

And this is what I found at work:

(I Did) Draw A Dinosaur

Saw the challenge at Jan´s place, sadly a tad too late, but I thought I join in anyways?
Blogging is to be fun after all, right?

We found this fella at Hillarys Boat Harbour in 2019. Is he still there?
Should I show you the original?
Eh, why not, I´m not an artist...

In Broome we also found these...

 Gave my best here...

Ingo really went down to see the original - the tide is wild in the West, I stayed where we were, they have this replica, thankfully!!!

Henry ๐Ÿฆ

Calm down, sweet boy, the dinos are but in front of our museum, and they smile, too.
They smile. In 3C.

Let´s Be Like Really Cool!

Oh this SO reminds me of happy times!
Ingo finds the coolest stuff!

05-something a.m. on a Sunday?
Yes.
Dreamed I met colleagues for real (haha, Corinna), mentioned school was long ago, she said, oh, "you´re like 30 already?"... "Add 20 more..."
Have, for real, a multiple choice test on security to do. Company sends all stuff to my private PC. Their site refuses cause pop ups are not allowed. Sure they are!
And, hey, this is my private PC!!! They send all stuff to my private e-mail-address, despite I gave them the Siemens one, too, and asked to use that! Drives me nuts.

Do you mix work and private at your own PC?
Just because we have the "new normal" I still think private is private, no?

Sent the link to my Siemens PC.
Cannot open the link cause the program detects another e-mail address.
EHD said they´re at it, but I still got no answer and the company wants the test done asap.
Dreamed of weird multiple choice tests, so I finally got up  - yesterday I slept like a stone.
The joy of being back to work.

Anyhows, here, sooooo cool!

I just dream about it, though...

Or do I? I would be a tad taller in these (but who cares).
Ohhhh, but aren´t they the coolest? The color, the style...

They have so much cool stuff there, which era do you like?

Henry ๐Ÿฆ

"I may be old, was born in the 1170´s, have seen many an era, and I´m cool and fancy!"

Emmi Gives Love

Yesterday was quite tough.
I needed nearly a whole day for reviewing one (1!) document.

I hope I did OK. I made decisions without asking, uhhh, the newbie-me.
Was tricky, but I think I got it all through logically. Consistent. Better, easier to understand.

L wanted me to do something else, too, but he saw... I have enough. As him, too.

At least...

Nicole with her post made me get the boring slice of bread to a yummy one - how come melted cheese is so much better?!

Title? P called and somehow, her black cat, Emmi, always wants to be a part of the call.
So sweet.
P said (cause we´re all fed up already): "give some love" and guess!!!!

Emmi started purring so loud I could hear it!!!! (She tried to eat the mike, too)
It sure lifted my mood a lot! ๐Ÿ˜ฝ

Whilst writing I listen to Norah Jones, she always calms me down with her beautiful voice.

Hehe, see the tumble weed! When I was all alone in the office at my old company a colleague came in saying he just expects just that rolling by!

Week-end, time out.
It was stressy, but good stress, mostly.

Henry ๐Ÿฆ

Wee One, thank you ๐Ÿงก - it helps!

Library Shelfie Day

Today I join Mae. Let´s celebrate Library Shelfie Day.
Though I´m two days late... But better late than never, huh?

And then...

And at work...

Let´s see what they have today for me, off to work soon!

Henry ๐Ÿฆ

OK, big boy...
Btw. I think I still could wake up from coma thinking I am a teenager because we have no kids?
Never such a huge 24/7 responsibility.
Seriously. Sometimes I still think of "school" rather than "work".
OK, maybe cause we learn all life in our jobs especially, under pressure (can I please rather perform Bohemian Rha... old joke, I know).

Hey, Insiders, You

The mail is slow these days.
But sometimes this is good - yesterday a Birthday Card arrived.

From... Hamburg, Germany, that is some 200 km / 125 miles from here.
From a friend I met last when I was... 14 years old! She keeps contact and this is such a sweet card!

She writes I am to make this the best year. I hope I can!
I think I will not say thank you via FB, but send a card, too.
So at some point.... nice surprise for her ๐Ÿ˜€

After a rather weird brekkie, a mix of Teewurst and curd (I needed to eat up all the old stuff)...

... I got a nice greeting again:

Teamleader told me about renovations in his office at home (good sign?), instead of 4 we talked 15 minutes (actually 30 minutes are scheduled, but we have enough work and he knows this).

A customer from South Africa called me surprisingly.
Boy, he talks faster in English than I can in German, and he is quick and knows his job - it was very productive and even a bit fun! No accent! (I was a bit afraid of that, can´t even get along with Bavarian or such).
He taught me about railway a bit, too.
And at some points I could even say (balise, e.g), "I know what this is ๐Ÿ˜".

Also had another document from hell.
Again.
Dude said via e-mail he used the template.
I was like, "YES, quick job then!" ... Nope.
Wrong from page one, but MS Word and I get along now, I was a weeeeee bit proud of myself, I managed to fix it all, without help.

Henry ๐Ÿฆ is a bit fed up, though, with the complaining -  as me, his wife says:

... correctly! It was a lot of work. But I needed no help, yipeee-yah-yeah!
P said, "I knew you can do it!".
There are good days and bad days and despite this extra-work... this was a good day.
How old are we in our minds?
How old do you feel?
If I had an accident with loss of memory I knew I can drive a car so I´m at least 14 (Dad taught me) or 18, but sure not.... 50!

YOU?

Only the insiders know, even if it is soooooo many years we met in person!

Here, Fishy

I found this sign that is perfect for last pressie, I got, the lille pirate from Ingo!

I got it cause behind my new workplace I have at home there is a fishing pond.
I´m too small, but Ingo can see it - we had some fun with it back in the day on our 6-months journey in Australia (P.S.: Happy Australia Day - sweet memories of 2019!):

This is perfect for Tom´s Signs2 and Henry ๐Ÿฆ feels like he has to make appearance five times today! Four times in pic above and... here goes:

Do fishes react on "miez, miez, miez", too?
And... are you hungry now?
Fish´n Chips or Grill´d?

T STands For Terrific

Monday: the week started great - P called and said she passed her test, yipeeee!!!
I met two new male colleagues and both kept saying, "this is new to me". Hey, I am the new one!
Nice guys again.

Tuesday: Obviously we got hungry working together via MS Teams - we drifted to the subject burgers and steaks, P & I.
Poor Emil has had it. I leaned backwards and nearly fell, uhhhhh boy!
Also found out. It´s a kid´s chair. Yah, what else...

LOL - and I found the abbreviation AC / DC in one South African document. Now I wonder how old the author is!!!! Or young...

Wednesday... argh.
At first my T came around the corner via WhatsApp...

English-German mish-mash ๐Ÿคฃ
Then the Parents in Law, then Ingo with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers from our Italians, then Bro, SIL and Nieces via phone - three hours!
What happens when I turn 100?!

Teamleader weekly 1:1 - not 30, but 4 minutes. He is quick ๐Ÿ˜.
Started training again.

Thursday: My female teamleader panicked and asked me for help. The EHD (Enterprise Help Desk) reacted quickly, I was friendly and asked him for his number. He said he is not allowed to give this.
A while later I was added to his MS Teams list ๐Ÿ˜€
We got snow. Fat flakes falling from the sky, it looked beautiful and melted away quickly.
P said we soon have a meeting with Corona (German for COVID).
I said.... "nooooo, I´m not in!!!"
"Oh! I meant Corinna!!!!!"
๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ OK, count me in then.
Training doubled.

Friday: Ingo was signed sick, couldn´t move his neck. Went grocery-shopping anyways and...
Pressie #1 yummiest beef jerky the moment I thought I need a snack (if home, it is work!).

And P & I talked about American Football, she showed me a cool trailer (don´t tell).
Pressie #3 - a Pirate with a shark!

Lunch:

Later training*3!

Saturday: Last home made Pizza-Muffin.
Ingo repaired poor Emil.

And made soup. Bad smell, reminding me of when I was sent to a children´s home for three weeks. But as bonus Ingo added Brussels Sprouts and brought a huge bag, so I have enough to eat this week.

I started the book P recommended to me, post to come.

Sunday: Ingo needed to go pee at night and I knew American Footy was on.
Light sleeper, got up and watched. Oh, boy. Reminded me of a European Bowl game that was very boring.
Braunschweig: 53. French team: 0. The Braunschweig-guys hugged and patted the French ones when saying the big good-bye ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿˆ.
We had Pellkartoffeln (cooked, unpeeled potatoes) with curd and I used Granma´s Piez to peel:

(Think it´s an East Prussian word, "Piez").

And since this is for Elizabeth´s T stands for Tuesday .... another pressie:

"Mum"-wine is so old already  (we usually use wine for cooking only)... I think I wouldn´t take a sip ๐Ÿ˜‰

Henry ๐Ÿฆ

Addendum: I´m more than super awake now. Wanted to go early to our shit#y REWE for Ingo and the whole main is street full of firefighters and their biggest trucks, all blue lights on.
I so freaked.

I think it was some kind of routine /exercise, but, by golly. They were everywhere and I at first had no idea if I am allowed to walk on, there were at least 20 in my way - I am small, had mask on and my glasses were foggy.

When I came back they were turning and the other side of the road was full.
To safety?

And hence to another great week, T-peeps...
