Monday: the week started great - P called and said she passed her test, yipeeee!!!
I met two new male colleagues and both kept saying, "this is new to me". Hey, I am the new one!
Nice guys again.
Tuesday: Obviously we got hungry working together via MS Teams - we drifted to the subject burgers and steaks, P & I.
Poor Emil has had it. I leaned backwards and nearly fell, uhhhhh boy!
Also found out. It´s a kid´s chair. Yah, what else...
LOL - and I found the abbreviation AC / DC in one South African document. Now I wonder how old the author is!!!! Or young...
Wednesday... argh.
At first my T came around the corner via WhatsApp...
English-German mish-mash ๐คฃ
Then the Parents in Law, then Ingo with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers from our Italians, then Bro, SIL and Nieces via phone - three hours!
What happens when I turn 100?!
Teamleader weekly 1:1 - not 30, but 4 minutes. He is quick ๐.
Started training again.
Thursday: My female teamleader panicked and asked me for help. The EHD (Enterprise Help Desk) reacted quickly, I was friendly and asked him for his number. He said he is not allowed to give this.
A while later I was added to his MS Teams list ๐
We got snow. Fat flakes falling from the sky, it looked beautiful and melted away quickly.
P said we soon have a meeting with Corona (German for COVID).
I said.... "nooooo, I´m not in!!!"
"Oh! I meant Corinna!!!!!"
๐คฃ๐ OK, count me in then.
Training doubled.
Friday: Ingo was signed sick, couldn´t move his neck. Went grocery-shopping anyways and...
Pressie #1 yummiest beef jerky the moment I thought I need a snack (if home, it is work!).
Pressie #2 - the key to time-travel, awwww.
And P & I talked about American Football, she showed me a cool trailer (don´t tell).
Lunch:
Later training*3!
Saturday: Last home made Pizza-Muffin.
Ingo repaired poor Emil.
And made soup. Bad smell, reminding me of when I was sent to a children´s home for three weeks. But as bonus Ingo added Brussels Sprouts and brought a huge bag, so I have enough to eat this week.
I started the book P recommended to me, post to come.
Sunday: Ingo needed to go pee at night and I knew American Footy was on.
Light sleeper, got up and watched. Oh, boy. Reminded me of a European Bowl game that was very boring.
Braunschweig: 53. French team: 0. The Braunschweig-guys hugged and patted the French ones when saying the big good-bye ๐งก๐.
We had Pellkartoffeln (cooked, unpeeled potatoes) with curd and I used Granma´s Piez to peel:
(Think it´s an East Prussian word, "Piez").
And since this is for Elizabeth´s T stands for Tuesday .... another pressie:
"Mum"-wine is so old already (we usually use wine for cooking only)... I think I wouldn´t take a sip ๐
Henry ๐ฆ
Addendum: I´m more than super awake now. Wanted to go early to our shit#y REWE for Ingo and the whole main is street full of firefighters and their biggest trucks, all blue lights on.
I so freaked.
I think it was some kind of routine /exercise, but, by golly. They were everywhere and I at first had no idea if I am allowed to walk on, there were at least 20 in my way - I am small, had mask on and my glasses were foggy.
When I came back they were turning and the other side of the road was full.
To safety?
And hence to another great week, T-peeps...

Those calendar pages are wonderful. You draw so well. And Ingo has been very good to you with all the presents he has bestowed on you. Football here this weekend was great. My team won. It was a nail biter, but I have lots of long nails I can bite (grin).
I'm not a fan of Merlot, but I love the bottle of your Mum wine. It's a beautiful shape. Thanks for sharing your calendar, your gifts from Ingo, and your wine with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.
Wow, your new calender journal pages are fabulous! It's great that you have more room this year to capture all those memories and for your wonderful drawings - love them ๐. Happy T Day wishes! Hugs Jo x
...when our 50 year old son was a kid, he was a huge AD/DC fan. Iris I love to see your journal pages.
Your illustrations of your gifts are all very entertaining, and look like fun to draw as well as to have. Many happy returns of the day!
best... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Happy birthday to you, Iris. There are so many presents for you. Hope Ingo's neck is feeling better now. I have never thought to keep a diary with drawings. Your journal is fun and interesting. I do enjoy drinking wine when available but not a regular drinker. It helps me to sleep better.
Dear host, yes, Ingo sure spoilt me!
Sadly I could not see the Sunday game dur to the time difference...
No idea yet, what to do with the wine...

Jo, thank you, hugs x - am I getting a bit better, really?
____
Tom, really?! As kid I was too young for AC/DC....
____
Mae, thank you, it was fun! And so nice indeed!
____
Nancy, thank you for both, Ingo is better indeed! The drawing-thing is actually really fun. It makes me more aware of what´s happening. Besides blogging, crazy, huh?
My what an exciting week you had! Wonderful presents and things going so well for you at work. I hope Ingo is feeling better. Loved looking at your day planner. Happy T Day
I enjoyed reading about your week with your journal pages-so happy you shared those pages with us-loved the little pirate, hoping Ingo feels better soon. Happy belated bday did you get my card? hoping it didn't get lost Happy T hugs
I had to laugh at your AC/DC comment. Could be any age. You never know because teenagers here listen to them as do people in their 70's -maybe older. They're a favorite of mine, so that's probably why it caught my eye. Your journal is looking great too. You're filling in the pages more now. I had fun looking at that. It sounds like you had a birthday, hope it was a good one. And happy T day too my friend. Hugs-Erika
What a wonderful week. I hear so much joy in your words, Iris. Enjoyment of work, of life. What special conversations with people and to be able to celebrate this "new year" with such joy after a few troublesome ones. I'm so very happy for you. Your journal pages are a wonderful series of illustrations!
So do you wonder how old the author is? Or young... like Malcolm Young the guitarist of the AC/DC... I like their music.
You've had a full week! I'd try a glass of the merlot. I've liked what I've had in the past, but it's been a while. Happy T Tuesday!
Yes, Emil looks like a kid's chair.
I am jealous of your art! American football IS so boring! However, it keeps the husband happy and occupied!
Your journal is looking good. You've got talent!
What a fun and entertaining post!! I see you have thoroughly enjoyed the "prezzies" throughout the week:) Your pages with so many fun little drawings are such a delight to see, I enjoy them so much. Happy T day!
Happy birthday, Iris! Another January born cool woman!
I LOVE the Playmobil pirate and his hammerhead shark. My daughter loved to play with Playmobil when she was a kid and we still have lots of it.
I miss Pellkartoffeln mit Krรคuterquark!
You had a busy fun week!
CJ, thank you :-)
Ingo is better indeed, hope you had a happy day, too.
____
Kathy, nooooo... your card got stuck! But only today I got a Birthday card from... Hamburg, Germany! There is still hope :-)
Hugs to you!
____
Erika, yes. I left the 40´s. Really, AC/DC I was too young back then - kids love them these days again? Funny!
Hugs, dear friend from here
____
Jeanie, thank you.
I´m confused. I felt OK in these years, really.
But many tell me I sound much happier.
I feel more frightened to loose the job, though...
____
Black Knight, I don´t even know if it was on purpose with AC/DC!!!
I just had to laugh :-)
____
Divers and Sundry,... German > beer ;-)
____
William! So I never noticed I sit on a kid´s chair since 2001!!! By golly!!!!
____
Jackie, oh, I would love to get better at journaling and stuff... but thank you.
And boy... am I glad Hubby hates soccer - I could not stand that!
____
Bill, thank you. I see no progress on my side, though....
____
Carola, thank you - and a Happy belated Birthday to you, too!
To Playmobil and Pellkartoffeln! Do you have "Piezes" over there?
Love your depiction of the Playmobile pirate and shark in your journal. Looks like a lot of fun for your birthday between the flowers, 3 hour phone call and presents.
That's great that things are going great at your job!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
I love the Pirate!! :)
AC/DC can also be an electrical term meaning "Alternative current/Direct current"
Happy Birthday, whichever day it was.
My sister's birthday is on January 28, she will be 73.
Kate, yes, it was aa lot of fun, thank you - job-wise..... up and down atm.
____
River, yes, certainly it´s an abbreviation for railway, not music, but I thought it was funny :-) I read a lot of abbreviations lists now and it was coincidence that AC and DC were directly put in this document like that.
Lots going on here. I love your journal pages. Have a great day today.
Thank you, yes, busy times, huh?
