T Stands For Happy-Angry-Happy-Sad

With this evil, rude raspberry vitamin boosted juice (Ingo brought the whole series) I join Elizabeth´s T today.

The journal:

Monday: Watched Kokowääh II I found in the street. One guy is Austrian. Boy... hard to understand!
Can imagine it is the same between Ukrainians and Russians. It´s a bit hard, but if you make an effort it works.
Why can´t they... stupid Russian media-lies.
Kokowääh - a smart, fun movie. With Til Schweiger and his daughter. Recommended (watch Part #I first).
The other dad wants to buy a lamp for the shower. The assistant in the store is a Muslim woman and he requests a "Dusch-Lampe" (shower = Dusche), which sounds like "Du Schlampe", which is a bitch. He gets beaten up, repeating this over and over again. 🤣 I wonder how often they had to repeat this to get it on film!!! "Duuuuschlampe!" My belly hurt from laughing!

Tuesday: Waiting for the customer to move.
Cooking-tips from mT and fK. Falafel ready to go for tomorrow!
Plans for Friday settled. It´s becoming maaaybe a "tradition" with our Friday-lunch-meetings.
Long time I had a female friend here in Germany.
Did some cleaning... what else to do?
Teamlead knows I am "on hold". Again. From 200% down to 0...

Wednesday: 06:57 took off to REWE for Ingo´s tomatoes. Boy, sooooo beautiful! Warm and heavy rain! I LOVE that!
perplexity AI explains, "A pluviophile is someone who loves rain and finds joy and peace of mind during rainy days. The term is derived from the Latin word "pluvial" meaning rain, and the Greek suffix "-phile" meaning lover or lover of."

Admin mT sure gave me tips what to do with too much falafel-"dough".  "My ESE" is some company! We help each other in so many ways! Falafel-soup is on soon! I know what to do!
I may repeat myself, but... great colleagues!
Cruncher... 3 sessions - I´m getting the hang of it! Better be careful if you want a handshake, I´m getting strong!
I learned: There is "The German Autobahn experience" - people pay a lot of money to legally speed. No wonder I don´t wanna drive no more, huh.

Thursday: Spontaneous "present-"meeting with my T! Was fun and I got my book back, too.
We hugged!!! We never did this before!!! Felt good :-)
He thinks of early retirement - sounds like a good plan!
Customer mS said very likely the project goes on.
Longer chat with fK.

Friday: BIG disappointment. Went out to bring Peanut (our squirrel) walnuts.
ALL... ALL ripe wood-strawberries eaten up. Birds? There were at least 30 strawberries.
Just the other day I´d checked and they were still sitting too tight to be eaten.
Now I wonder... put up nets? Cannot have been a human. SO disappointed. Angry.

I have bird-food out, I have food for the squirrel(s) out...
My T said: Weapons ... I´m on my way!

Put out three boxes "as pressies/for free" in the street - hope someone enjoyed. All was gone on Saturday. Not all were happy, we have a new neighbor, an as#hole, see here....

Lunch break with fK - gave her a box full of unused art-stuff for the kids - hey, I get rid of things in a good way, right?
And then wonderful rain, lighting and thunder!

Got Happy Mail from dear Kathy!!!

Later GRIMM.... Rosalie approaches softly her colleague and.. he JUMPS.
Yupp, same as hours earlier when I surfed on my phone, waiting for fK and she softly touched my shoulder - I nearly threw my work phone away, LOL.

Please, peeps, talk to us loudly instead... From a a distance.

Weekend: Saturday: Near to a heart attack (OK, no, but it was not nice!!!) - my folder 2024 was gone. All pictures, all scans, all pics I took of our food over the years for inspiration when Ingo asks, "what to cook this weekend?".
Then I thought... Ask Explorer-search and phew, got it all back. Made me thinking...
Photography back then and today...
Do you use a cloud for your data? I have one backup, that I updated...
Or just imagine Blogger shuts down. I blog since 2006, so many memories.
I´ll google how to make a copy for safety. Or did you already and have a tip?
Made a wonderful falafel-soup of leftovers. To my admin mT!!!! 🥰
Sunday: Löwenzahn, Die Maus and a wonderful fairy tale, The Wishing-Table, the Gold-Ass, and the Cudgel in the Sack by the Brothers Grimm - for children and beautiful.
Then Sister Act. Quite a lesson again.
Later GRIMM - for adults and sadly I´m coming to an end...

We could´ve had fun and even a BBQ but Ingo decided to do his way without me.

Munchy:

More on this next T-Day 🥰

Henry´s food-sister 🦁

Made of yellow tree dicks 🤣
Happy T-Day to you.

All your sketches in your calendar are cute and very skilled. I think birds often get to ripening fruit before its “owner” can eat it!
best, mae

Thank you, you motivate me.
Yes, I had to learn the hard way with the birds. Wonder why now, I have the strawberries since years!

Is that like an energy drink? They sell heaps of them here, they are really popular.

Iris Flavia said...

Yupp - here they go crazy with that stuff, too...

I need one of those wake me up drinks this morning. I had to get up to go to work for a few hours. And nice card from Kathy. I think the star of this week's T day post is you in the chef's uniform. I can even tell it's you. I love it. And you asked why I called the restaurant a hole in the wall. It just means it's a small and nothing fancy place, just like a hole int he wall hopefully is. I hope you're having a great T day. hugs-Erika

Yes, that drink really helped! But reckon it´s pretty full of sugar...
Thank you, though I´m very far from being a chef.
LOL, I didn´t know that saying.
Our cabin in Madeley/Perth has a fixed hole in the wall since we stay there - since 2013!
I´d kinda be sad if they fix that!
Have a great day, hugs

Hi Iris, hope you are well. Sorry about your strawberries, I would say probably birds, but for me also snails, and other critters that live in the soil. I have strawberries outside my back door for several years, and they are netted against birds and butterflies but the snails sometimes get in and then there are creatures that bury inside them sometimes if you don't pick them quick enough as soon as they are ready, especially if it is raining. Just now, I have lots of flowers and some very green strawberries so they are safe just now, but as soon as they turn red, things will want to eat them!
I remember looking up how to backup/download a blogger blog and there are instructions here https://support.google.com/blogger/thread/96905278/how-to-backup-my-entire-blog?hl=en but if the blog has been going for a long time with lots of photos that would be a VERY big file! My blog is self-hosted so I can back up my files and database easily which is one reason why I went down that route - complete control. Happy T Day! ~Elle

Thank you for the link Elle!
Hm, snails are unlikely as they are on the balcony - which I am very thankful for after reading this! Hope you get your strawberries... A few are still there and netted.
Happy T-Day

The squirrels here have been raiding my planters and throwing everything around so I would bet that squirrels ate your strawberries, Iris.

Iris Flavia said...

But they left them alone all the years! I think I have the strawberries here since 2012 - they are from my family´s garden...
Either way, I netted them and I hope to get the last for Ingo and I...

Always love your calendar. Loved the drawing of the guy in the bath.

So sorry about your strawberries. If they aren't netted, the birds will get them once they turn red.

Glad you are spending time with your friend from work on Fridays. And what a fun and lovely happy mail from Kathy. She is always SO thoughtful.

Glad you mentioned backing up my blog. I am happy to klnow there are ways to do so.

Your falafel looks wonderful. Similar to the falafel I used to get at a Med. restaurant that is now closed. And I absolutely adore the banana kitty. It is beautiful.

That energy drink looks like something I need about now. Thanks for sharing it with us, as well as your calendar and falafel for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.

Iris Flavia said...

Thank you, dear Elizabeth, you sure keep motivating me with the calendar :-)
The strange thing is, neither birds nor the squirrels ever went at the strawberries!
Yes, fK sure is fun and always has good ideas. And Kathy, too!
Hmmm, II think our blogs might be hard to save, as Elle mentioned, but I´ll try her link soon.
The falafel was so easy to make!
The banana is sadly only from the internet.
That drink so worked!!!!

Too bad about the strawberries -Christine cmlk79.blogspot .com

Yep. Lesson learned...

Another busy week. As to the strawberries being stolen, bummer. It might be Peanut who enjoyed a fruit snack besides the birds. When we had a strawberry patch years ago, we had chipmunks who would take a big bite from the back. So when you looked at the strawberries they looked beautiful until you went to pick them! Happy T Day

Iris Flavia said...

Well, I have these tiny wood-strawberries since 2012, I think, and this never happened before! Netted the rest and learned for the next season!

Lisca said...

What a shame about the strawberries. Probably the birds.
I love seeing your diary drawings and then read all about them.
Yum, I love falafels. They remind me of Israel in the late 60s. It was a common street food.
I smiled at you being a pluviophile. ( me, I hate getting wet, so I don’t like rain)
Cute banana cat.
Yes, Kathy is very kind and sometimes sends things.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, so sad about the strawberries - but there are some I´ll check tomorrow, I netted them.
Thank you, the drawings keep me sane so I know what I did in the week!
You should try the falafel-soup. Was so yummy!
With a brolly you don´t get wet - I like the rain directly on a hot summer´s day - haha... Germany....
The cat was but from the internet and yes, Kathy is awesome :-)
Happy T-Day, hope your holiday is great!

I hope you don't lose all your berries. The birds always seem to get mine before I do. I got two today -- so sweet!

I recognise three of those flags but which country has white, blue, red? I can't find it in my Atlas which has pages and pages of flags from all countries. It is an old atlas and some of those countries don't exist anymore.
I am so glad you got your 2024 folder back. I saved everything to a 1TB hard drive a few years ago and really need to update that with all the newer folders soon.
Love the banana cat :)

River said...

I found the flag, it is Russia.

Iris Flavia said...

Jeanie, yes, a few berries were not ripe yet and all is netted now. Argh! Lesson learned. After all those years some new birds must´ve arrived!

____

River, yes, Russia. I had a Ukrainian customer who told me Ukrainian language is to Russian like our High-German to Bavarian (or Austrian or Switzer-German for that matter). The base is the same, just the accents differ (at times a lot).
Yes, to saving files!!!!
I nearly cried, LOL. The cat is cleverly made, huh?

Delightful story-telling and journaling, Iris. I love how you look at the world, art, your job/co-workers/clients, and food. Sad about the strawberries. I agree with your political comments.

Happy T-day and take care! Hugz
