With this I join Elizabeth's T-party again.
We shared a burger, got two tokens to support local projects but.... got only one beer. Logic?
Bear with me, I have to reduce all pics in size as we have limited data, and I have no scanner, either.
Also I was frugal and got cheap pencils, what a dumb idea.
The hence very crappy journal:
Monday: First night we kinda slept through, but oh, it was so cold!
Later Grace and Pat picked us up and we went to Hillarys.
Imagine: 4 people at the table and 3 of them try to solve a problem on Ingo's smart phone. At the same time, too!
But we had fun!
And then yum, first (shared) Grill'd burger of the season (a Wild Wild West)! We got dropped off at Whitfords and had a refreshing beer.
Home via Transperth - so easy!
Tuesday: Up at 4-something so we are fit for our flight to Adelaide on Thursday. Nice chat with fK who goes to sleep soon in Germany. Sadly she will not be my new teamleader. But crazy what technology makes possible these days!
It was COLD!
We got an extra-bed for in case Ingo is unwell, plus an extra-blanket I already used!
Wednesday: Our Caravan Park gets food from the stores that is after "best before", but still good - I got grapes.
Met up with dear Sami for a cuppa after her workday - fun times and it was scorching hot, yippee!
Thursday: Cousin M let me know his Mom had passed away. One by one now...
Other lazy day. We.are.on.holidays....
Friday - Saturday: Train-ride-adventure, posts to come. Bumpy start here....
Sunday: Lazy day off in the -yippee- scorching heat. Blogging, Grill'd and Ingo played so much with my new cam, he wants one, too.

I love the bike with boots for a wheel. The Grill'd burger looks good. I hope it soon gets hot enough for you. I don't like it so hot anymore, when I was young and skinny I didn't even notice the heat so much. But now I stay inside with the airconditioner on.

Ich freue mich, dass du endlich die Hitze genießen kannst, auf die du dich so lange gefreut hast. Das ist nach dem deutschen Winter sicher eine herrliche Abwechslung. Ja, natürlich habe ich von den Bauernprotesten gehört, meine Tochter kam mit ihrem Fahrrad fast nicht nach Hause, weil die Trecker keinerlei Platz ließen. Was bringt das, besonders nachdem bereits bei den meisten Anliegen bereits eingelenkt worden war? Die einzigen, die darunter leiden, sind die "normalen" Menschen, wie auch bei den unsäglichen Bahnstreiks. Denk nicht dran und genieß die Wochen in Australien!

Elle, haha, no. We had a little tour by River and then hopped on the train to Perth.
And Hahndorf.... big no!
Ingo and I were together hardly 6 months when we went on our first Aussie trip of six months.
We landed in Sydney and headed South.
The "Red country" was not red at all, instead we hit Hahndorf and I thought, Ingo, you must be kidding me!!

He lived 8 km from my home town! THIS is Australia?! I could've stayed home! ;-)

That Aunt I was not close to, so, no worries. This will happen now with Mom's Siblings, too, that's how normal life goes.
My parents went too early, these live their lives as long as supposed to. Leaving is sad, always, though...

I love hot weather too.
Not a fan of Carnaval or Schoduvel. Luckily here it is a festival for children dressing up and that's fine. But In England it always was the tradition to eat pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, so, even though I'm on my own, I made myself some pancakes for lunch. (With maple syrup, yum!)
In ther Netherlands the farmers are protesting about the Nitrogen policy. Here in Spain, farmers are blocking the motorways but I don't know why as I don't watch the news. (Probably the same thing).
The clown with the welly-wheel made me smile.
