T STands For All Good

With this healthy shot I join Elizabeth´s T today. As you can see this is still from my workspace.
Also we´re on the way to Perth. Internet might take 24 hours to get, so bare with me if I do not react.

 The journal:

Monday: Wow. ESE has ~450 peeps. And CEO#1 personally sent me Birthday-wishes and said to enjoy the new year of my life. On Friday. I only found today shortly after 06:00 a.m.
Answered that I will enjoy, especially Perth and also thanked him that I am allowed to take such a long holiday.
"Enjoy, I´m on a business trip in San Francisco right now!"
Weee... this is some cool company! And I hope he saw 06:08 a.m.  - I had no chance to see his wishes on Friday!
He then answered he just landed and has a beer to get tired. Some boss, huh!

On the way to the present-seminar on fire-protection on trains... branches small and thick everywhere and storm still, luckily no rain, it was tough enough without a brolly!
The colleague who held the seminar wore a shirt that was "on fire"!!! I told him I love it. No one else said this, how sad.
Went with the guys to Maccas. 2 burgers, one of the burgers even a double-burger plus fries as one meal.
You can imagine how they looked when after half a chicken-burger I said I´m full 😂🍔

Tuesday: I could "cry". mK created wrong names, added missing sites and I found out by chance, M let me know he has created a new design. Professional mail to the team, now let´s see. Kindergarten! Made an app with my teamleader.

Went to doc. We chatted about fears (him, being a surgeon having family-members wanting him to operate, me car/train), nice HOLIDAYS (he is Greek), "lost cars", was fun, an hour!

Deutsche Bahn: longest strike in German history, yes, thank you. Went to main train station ... too long
Weird people on the tram.

Wednesday: What.A.Day! Present-meeting. SO STORMY! Saw too late fK´d offered me a ride...
mK is under control now, it was plain awesome (he joined via teams).
Yay to female leaders who have guts! J took stupid work away from me on top and told me she talked to CEO#2 - he knows it was never my fault we made no progress!
Later executive H called me and also told me she went to CEO#1 and told him mK had no right..blablabla and that I work VERY well with and for her - explains the Birthday wishes from CEO#1!
aT is sick. My Aussie Lenovo, oh, no!!! Admin T (somehow  all their names start with T) offered, as he lives close by, to get and deliver it to me.
NICE!
"Where do you live?"  - "R10". another T-admin: "OH! In that house that was on fire 🔥 lately?!"
Well, now they all know where I live, as it was in the news...
fK hugged me three times - the plane won´t crash, we´ll be back!

Ingo came home: He really got two seats on a flix-bus to Frankfurt!!!
A day FULL OF GREAT!

Sick aT called and offered his Dad will bring my Lenovo!
Did I ever mention I LOVE my colleagues????

Thursday: teams-meeting with my teamleader, I made the app, wanted to keep it short (30 minutes max), wanted her to know, not to do - 11 minutes - I am good, huh? She got all I said and... GOOD.
I was honest. fK agreed it was the right thing to do.
Baby mK still has his fits, but I give that to J now. Amazing how he keeps behaving like a three-year-old!
Great-Grandpa, aka Uroppa, my old Aussie-Lenovo, was delivered by TJ, I had a lille fruit-cuppa as thank you, got all systems running, yippeee.
Ingo got a confirmation we´ll be on that bus to Frankfurt. Good day.

Friday: Awwwww, sooooo sweet, teams-call, C. Called to wish me a good trip! He´s Ingo´s age, we had one project together and he has such a Northern accent I adapt immediately as I was near Hamburg as kid every summer. Like a mini-holiday before the real holiday 😍
I now have his private address so can send a postcard. The other colleagues all are in Braunschweig. Never before did I have such great colleagues that I sent postcards!
fK and L also chatted a long good-bye.

Ingo went to the city for some missing things and got me another new meal from NAMASTE. That way he can have chop and everybody is happy, no great cooking before the big holiday 😘

Weekend: Saturday: See title: All good!!!! I was so worried about W, after all he is in his 80´s, I could not reach him! Both doorbells are maybe broken but now I have his phone number, too! All good!
Had a question to my doc. Started as he did, "Dear Dr. T..." just to see his last answer via mail came... on a Sunday. He is 10 years younger than me and feels rather like a brother. Also my only male Dr. How about you, do you care if male or female whom you trust your life to?

Had apples I cannot eat up. Bell-test with W, all good - he loved the apples. He wanted to buy some but they didn´d look good. Problem for both us solved! Chatted over an hour. He made me sit on his late wife´s place.

Sunday: Cleaning and packing after Die Maus.
Cleaning also means E-Mail: I sent a word for you from my work, here goes: Anforderungsnachvollziehbarkeitsmatrix - what weirdo comes up with that???
It´s a matrix to trace back requirements...

Henry 🦁

We´ll be back, Henry!

P.S. This is a post I prepared in Braunschweig. We happily are on the way to Perth by now - I hope! Maybe we have no internet yet, so bare with me if I´m not visiting...

The Genius #6

Scene in the next room, here are the details:

And certainly this famous in three pieces:

To the "Flower Thrower" the app says: "The Flower Thrower, probably Banksy’s most famous painting, combines two of his most popular themes: Street fighting and peace. The motif was originally created in 2005 on a West Bank border wall in Jerusalem. Instead of a Molotov cocktail, an activist surprisingly throws a bouquet of flowers at the rioters – a peaceful weapon of hippie culture and a sign of love in the midst of violence.

A plea for peaceful change in the world, which, however, also makes us realise that protests against capitalism or a military regime are just as pointless as throwing a bouquet of flowers against a wall.

In this three-part painting, Banksy experiments with a new technique for making prints – he sprays the stencil onto a developing film and exposes the result directly onto a screen print. In this way, a very accurate analogue representation is created. The set could be bought in his online shop Gross Domestic Product™ and was sold out completely in no time."

 Henry 🦁...

To peace...
We´re on the way to Frankfurt via FlixBus soon and Tuesday off to Perth.
Good bye cold, grey, stormy, nasty weather!
To warmth, sun, friends and .... I bet Perth has changed so much in these 5 years.... we will feel like coming to a new city altogether!

CJ always finds the coolest stuff, a series called Happy, Little Time Wasters, you must have a look, I am always amazed and it is a great wasted time! See this one, isn´t it plain WOW?
(I certainly asked CJ if I can share!)
If you´d seen it at her place, waste your time again 😉

They were just too cute!

... could you imagine?

Henry 🦁

Pic taken by my friend - I need a new camera.  She managed with bare fingers in the cold on the smartphone!

Have a happy Saturday!

Wednesday's Words on a Friday

It´s another time River´s prompt speaks to me. And when we go from her hometown to Perth via train I might see some wild ones...

This week's words/prompts are:

1. camel 2. bone 3. carving 4. application 5. river

and/or:

1. journey 2. shock 3. family 4. crown 5. colours

Here is my true, dumb story:

I once rode a camel.
Because my then-boyfriend wanted us to do that.
Just this week I was at my doc. He is ten years younger than me.
He recently was in Cairo, too, just like me in my early 20s.

Back then we had the chance to visit the pyramids as they were, one of the last people, a week later they closed for "renovation".
The last money went to the darn camel. That was a huge shock for me, boy, was I angry.
The last journey I went on with him, no... I gave him another chance and it was as bad.

My doc visited the now empty pyramid, the treasures, the crown, the bones are now in the museum, the carvings still there.

My "application" to leave sad dumbhead came later, I had to cross a river of betrayals first.
My family never liked him, sad I didn´t trust them (my Bro sadly followed my footsteps, it took him too long to leave a sick relationship).
Glad my life now shines in brighter colors!

For smiles and laughs please scroll down, there is one cute cat-baby 😻!!!

FFO & WHAT-IS-THAT-Smile

I look sooooooooooooo much forward to the heat, the ocean, to meet friends again after 5 years. Well, Sami visited us/her old home but the others... 5 years...

With this chicken I join Nicole´s FFO - we´re in Perth soon and enjoy the heat! And are 8 hours later then than when I normally blog.
Ocean, here we come soon!

And to join  Annie´s Smiles, how about this?

And some funnies:

OMG. Railway is having the longest strike in German history.
Ingo managed to get 2 seats on a NetflixBus. That´s even more dangerous than taking the train. I am THE SCREAM! #loveJensenAckles

Henry 🦁

Thank you Henry, you´re a true gentlelion!

It´s About Time

Ingo found this in our mailbox before Christmas with a key on a chain attached - the back says, "thanks for collecting our mail. We´ll be back on Dec 27th -  Merry Christmas, H&M".

And now let´s look at this clock, which is Rain´s theme this week, "clocks":

It will likely be somewhat between 35-40C, which is 95-104F - German winter you can kiss our butts!!!!

Thanks to COVID we had a break of 5 frickin´ years without a real holiday.
We used to go every two years to Perth.

And said neighbors will take care of our mail and Ingo´s car and this is my card for them:

I had this sticker on my car.
Why it added "Australia"?
Look at Wiki: "Perth (Scottish English: [ˈpɛrθ] PERTH; Scottish Gaelic: Peairt [pʰɛrˠʃtʲ])[3][4] is a centrally located Scottish city, on the banks of the River Tay. It is the administrative centre of Perth and Kinross council area and is the historic county town of Perthshire. It had a population of about 47,430 in 2018...."

We head to this Perth, though.

Deutsche Bahn (railway) will be on strike, but Ingo got two of the last seats on a Netflix-bus, yippeee, so we will be in time in Frankfurt.
Biiiig relief yesterday!

As this is Rain´s "Thursday Art and Dinner Date" I present you what Ingo made on Tuesday:

(Always reminds me of Ralph Wiggum from The Simpsons who ran around his playmates yelling this over and over again).

Ingo wanted to make goose for Christmas and came home with duck - eek.
Finally he fried it, then baked it, you only need salt and pepper, I tried, it was nearly yummy (Ingo loved it).

Now, what does your clock say, Henry 🦁?

This Henry sits in Kings Park, Perth, and I will give greetings from our Braunschweig-Henry, of course!

See You Soon...

Found this sign in Zoo Hanover in the "Australia section".
Looking forward to pay a visit (or two, three....) to Kings Park and see one for real.

This is Australia, not France! Do some research, zoo-guys!
This is for Tom´s Signs2

Ack, raining and I have a present-meeting at the company. Hopefully no storm...
40 minutes on foot in the dark. Bleh. Hope kindy-boy mK will not join.
Good: Later "socializing" with fK  :-)

Henry 🦁

I don´t think this is Kings Park, Henry...

T-STands For ChaoTic

A tad too sweet, but a warming drink with which I join Elizabeth´s T.
And, as you can see, teapot always ready, yikes, glad summer starts next week for us!!! I am sick of the cold!

The journal:

Monday: LOL. Saw C - with whom I had a project - is online shortly after 06:00 a.m.
Thought he is at the customer and wondered why he is "green" in ESE-teams, contacted him.
Kaboom, he called, added W, nice long chat - socializing, right?
THAT is a good start to the week! 🥰
Sadly both confirmed Alstom Salzgitter is in big trouble...
Later looong chat with fK. And also J has had it with mK now.
It´s Kindergarten with him. It´s J´s "ball" now. I do as told and don´t waste brain into this anymore.
Bro called again 🥰

Tuesday: fK and admin T (aT) tried to help me with my trouble with mK (who started all over causing troubles).
Nobody likes him, it is weird. No one stands up against him, either.
aT found VERY clear words (he knows him personally, too).
fK said, that´s what friends are for and I just do know without questioning anymore, except... executive H said, "WHY did you do that? It´s IT´s job!!!" So at least "high up" someone is aware of the nonsense that dude mK causes.
I SO want ESE to keep me I need to explain myself. Right? mK pretends he is dead still.
Kindy! He has no guts.

Wrote to fK: "Boah, such a waste of time!!" - autocorrect made it "Bochum, such a waste of time!!" 🤣

Bochum is a mining-town in the west near Düsseldorf. LOL! My T found the book "Autocorrect-Fails" and will give it back to me - happy times to come!" Herbert Grönemeyer is one of the very few German singers/songwriters I really like.

Ingo let me know there is a docu on the MV Gustloff. 2000 people the ship was supposed to take.

In the weird WWII they wanted to  take 8000+.
In the end 10 000 they took.
"The Russians" knew there were refugees on her and shot her to sink.
Biggest tragedy in ship history,  6 times more people than on the titanic.
My Granma had decided: We stick together in the frickin´ cold with the Russians on the way and wait for the next ship, this one is full.
Go figure. I learned this in a side-note.
Thanks to her wisdom I exist.

Wednesday: fK and aT (admin T) gave me advise on how to handle mK again, we changed the course.
aT: "Do it NOW. Else it will bug you all afternoon!"  - "Nah, I´ll watch 'Ghost Whisperer' in the original :-)" - "Oh, the one with Jennifer Love Hewitt?"
I LOVE men who watch and admit they do watch such "women-stuff". Same with Gilmore Girls (Ingo liked, too), also he likes truffle. And Keanu Reaves. He must be my secret Brother! It´s the one who takes care of Great-Granpa, aka my Aussie-Lenovo.
Did I ever mention I love my work and colleagues (minus one)?

Thursday: aT and fK really do care in so many ways! Not only because of stupid mK, aT knows my cam broke and really tries to find me a good one for Perth!
Doorbell.
I admit!!!! It´s cold, I´m in my grey PJs with the white and pink hearts again.
Doorbell!!! Where are my jeans?????? Panic-mode. Biberpost.
Doorbell!!! What the heck does Ingo order all the time?" Postman, two packages!
I am ALWAYS afraid now a police officer will stand there, tell me to get dressed and out as the house is on fire!!!! Or worse, a firefighter!
Summer, please, I want summer, then I´m properly in a skirt!
I should always grab purse and keys and phone when the doorbell rings - or is that too much panic?
fK had a very important work-date and kept me up to date - we are there for each other. She said she likes to be my friend 🥰
aT asked when I´m at aab16 - I think Germans like abbreviations? 😉
aab16 stands for "Am Alten Bahnhof 16", where our company sits.

Friday: Got a lot done at work, had a nice chat with fK, with aT.
Ingo went to the city and when he was out the door I thought, "gaaaaah! I should´ve asked for a dish from NAMASTE!".
Phone, Ingo, "want something from NAMASTE?" - Best birthday-pressie ever! Not only because it was yummy, but because it shows: Ingo cares!
Bro called, later Bro again with the Nieces, too.

Ingo also said he hopes I do not snore - last time I snored so slow he was wondering how I can breathe that long 🤣 Embarrassing and funny. Obviously I´m sportive with huge lungs.

Weekend: Saturday: INGO!!!!! Phone: "now what would you like from NAMASTE? I hand you over to the chef." - Boom, I talk to them personally via phone!!
Am I thankful there was/is COVID and I hence learned to communicate without seeing people, even if they have an accent! It was just a mini-accent, but... I´m really not good with that (hello Australia, here we come 😉)
Finally made it to Cathy´s blog and she made me remember this bitter-sweet fairy tale "The little girl with the matchsticks", as we both took part in Rain´s theme (I had this).

Sunday: Slept in. Soooo tired these days. Think it´s the fear of the fire-seminar and the journey to Perth itself. It costs so much energy.
So literally all I did was watching Löwenzahn and Die Maus, doing the journal and preparing food for Ingo. Oh, and took care of bank-stuff.
Reckon your Sunday was better, at least I had still food from NAMSTE!

Art-wise...

 I´ll take this to Perth.

No promise, but if I feel like it, I´ll join you :-)

Clever concept, don´t you think?

Henry 🦁

It is ridiculous, I was never ever so nervous to travel!
Wish me luck all goes well and have a happy T-Day!
Deutsche Bahn (railway) will be on strike from tomorrow on for a week!
