The Genius #4

We´re still waiting to get into the Banksy-exhibition in Hanover.

Here it is from the original site I got via my work smart-phone/QR-code:

It says: "In this stencil, Banksy recreates an iconic pop culture movie scene, the one of Tarantinos´s Pulp Fiction, except in Banksy’s vision guns are replaced by bananas. In a smug way, the artist questions the gun culture and clarifies his point of view on this sensitive issue. In 2007 London Transport painted over the piece that was stencilled on Old Street Station because it was considered violent, a spokesman stated, it creates “an atmosphere of neglect and social decay which in turn encourages crime.” Banksy responded by painting the wall again, showing Travolta and Jackson wearing full-length banana suits but this time carrying real pistols. This was the piece subsequently vandalised by well-known graffiti writer Ozone, leaving a note: “If it’s better next time I’ll leave it.” Banksy, rather movingly, returned to this spot to create the Memoriam piece “Angel with Skull” to Ozone after he was killed by an underground train."

On we finally go!

And here is the first piece inside:

Well, this is the true Banksy... think yourself....

And as I don´t wanna bore you:

Yes, it was so cold I wore Gurri...

(might not work in FF. MS Edge does the job).

Henry 🦁

 You will, Henry!

I like the Pulp fiction characters with the bananas. I enjoyed the story about the mural in Old Street Station.
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Iris.

Our brains could not take any more input! Just right!
So much to think about!

Banksy is clever but I've never understood Pulp Fiction, maybe it's just me.

I'm tempted to say you spoilt the show for me, but it wouldn't really be true and I don't have any prospects of seeing it, so thank you.

The video is clever, Banksy is clearly a genius. I wonder what he was like at school.
