42 - 46, to be exact. Elizabeth, does this count for T?
OK, this is a "piggy-bank" with socks 😂🍻
Or to Bro to fill it for his daughters and have something funny on his feet - help, please, I cannot decide!!!
As he will make me sunnies the world looks real with I think the latter...
The last sunglasses he made for me had brown glasses and I actually never wore them. Not good.
OK, real ticket:
Blogger hates me. More and more bloggers I cannot comment on.
If you do have an E-Mail-Address I answer there, other in my own comments on yours - I do not ignore you and yes, I try different browsers, too! I also even tried my laptop, no use!
The journal (will someone join me?)
Monday: Still waiting for "real documents" - the two I got were already translated, so I, after checking with my ALSTOM teamleader, visited the academy.
Very interesting.
It was about handling disabilities. Having lost half my right ear (hearing) it was even more interesting.
Also the concept of "Free Speech" for children/people with autism is genius.
I never knew ALSTOM supports all this.
I am but external, but I am proud I work for them (contract may end in June...).
Later went onto the balcony - 25C!!!! As the sun-brolly is too heavy for me I wore a huge hat and long clothes.
Boy, too warm to read about Schroedinger´s Cat and Mandelbrot!
I turned to Calvin and Hobbes :-)
AND!!! I was the ONLY person outside!!! How??? Why??? All other balconies were empty!
Days like these are a PRESSIE in Germany!! At least in Lower Saxony.
Tuesday: Wow. I´m doing the job of the translation company now. And I have no database (but my wee own one).
"Sandbox" is a "Sandstreuer" I finally found out. Usually and all AI-processors suggest it, too: "Sandkasten", but that´s where kids play in!
Weeeee, it´s an adventure. At least I didn´t have to ask anyone - Wikipedia, I love you!
And when you get hungry, open the fridge to think, hmmmm, what will I have for lunch and cause you´re small last sec see you have high up left-overs from the day before (Käsespätzle). What a joy!
And to top that: RAIN, yippeee!
And THEN! Barcelona put a table as figure in the document. Who.Does.That?!!!
I "created" a table in Excel, but... long story short colleague J gave me a crash-course combining Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Help me, Ronda...
I changed my concept...
Crazy. Russians now fight Russians for peace, they showed in the news.
What is one supposed to feel about that?
Especially as a German. History repeats itself...
1 1/2 sessions of training.
Wednesday: 3.3 km on foot one way to ESE to bring my "broken" laptop to "repair".
Nice weather, 3 very nice admins, software problem, could take the laptop right back.
Met colleague J and she was happy about the Tea I brought as thank you.
Later crash-course on MS Word with J and some more private chatting 😁
Thursday: PANTO-day! I translated the Pantograph´s technical details - such a JOY!!!
As you maybe know we live near trams and every time I see one I say, "hi Panto" - it´s my fav part of the tram. Sometimes I say that eight times a day, depending on where I walk! (I speak very silently, but bet the Panto can hear or feel it).
I got to touch one at the InnoTrans in Berlin even!!!
It was a team from Denmark presenting used ones and one man explained it all to me - gosh, was Ingo bored, LOL.
At one point I asked Ingo if he wants to see something else. "I didn´t want to see anything of it in the first place!!!!"
Thank you BIG again for driving all the way with me 🥰
Friday: The
darn tax-office needed (certainly) more info. I called the city of Bad
Harzburg for help and got two VERY NICE and helpful people! Yippee! (My
mum inherited me with two apartments for rent there, it´s a pain).
What a great start to the day with NICE people!!! And all via e-mail, too!
AND!!!
My surname. He said, "like King?" YES! It is THAT EASY. Most ask if my
surname is with "ay" and when I answer, "just like König" they ask back
"with oe"? What the heck?! He also got Flavia right (my first name was
taken for e-mail already).
Darn
it. Braunschweig as second-largest city in Lower Saxony does NOT have
that service. The lady actually laughed upon my request (in a nice way). She was nice, too.
Weekend: Saturday:
Went grocery shopping together. Big YAY. Always did that, then came COVID, then ...
First BBQ of the year, yippee.
Sunday: Pentecost. 29 years together and .. Ingo got mad at me because of a silly lille thing. Sad. I felt sad all day.
Because I did and do not understand, but I accept. How long, though? I do not like being yelled at.
Die Maus hence only. And the fairy tale.
I understand my Brother now. He gets tired of fighting with his wife.
Years ago he spoke of divorce. He still tries to see the good.
Ingo can be the nicest. And the nastiest. I hang on the first. I can also be nasty, aren´t we all at times?

I like your pair of bright and cheery socks.
I love the socks in the money box. I think of you now everytime I see a tram and today I saw plenty as I waited in the city for my bus to come home. I went out to buy gumboots and as I walked across the bridge to the hardware store I saw the Indian-Pacific crossing under the bridge but I didn't realise right away so didn't get a photo.
Nancy, yes, such a fun idea, huh?
____
River, please always greet the panto, yes? In German he is male, "der Stromabnehmer". But we all say Panto here.
To socks and oh, I´m still not so sure about the Indian Pacific, but "cool" you saw it!!
Interesting that you are reading about Benoit Mandelbrot, and I hope you'll post a review of the book when you are able to read it. My husband worked in the same scientific field and we often met him and his wife at conferences. Once he gave a talk here and came to dinner at our house. He was a very interesting man, and I often enjoyed doing things with her when the conferences were going on.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Wow, you met Mandelbrot?! And he... wow, to have them in the house must be.... "wow"! Like having Freddie Mercury at the table! Interesting!!!
Those are fun yellow socks Iris. You must be thinking sun! And SChrodinger is probably not the kind of book to read on a gorgeous warm day, but I bet it would be interesting. Nice journal pages, and a beer on a nice summer day is the best. I hope you have a super T day and next few days. hugs-Erika
Fun socks, Iris, definately counts for T-day along with your very interesting coffee and milk - lol. Great journaling - so interesting. Our consultants are always going to the sand box and sometimes demostrate their creations. It makes me laugh every time they say it. It is a cooler name than testing instance or space.
Life is so hard as we try to make it through. I think sometimes people lash out all their stress and worry on those closest to them because they are safe. Also I think they learn this from their parents who didn't have healthy ways of dealing with it. They say most anger is actually based on fear. I can see that in some people, but I have tried to study it in my husband and I struggle to identify it. With him, I think it is more based on frustration. People are so complex.
Happy t-day and many hugz
Erika, yes, it was a bit heavy for such a day, that book! And yes, I had a cool beer with that, too - hugs :-)
____
Nancy, LOL about the sandbox!
I have no idea why Ingo often is so aggressive. It goes superfast fron nice to that. One minute you get flowers, next yelled at. It´s really not easy... Hugz back - reckon all will be back to good soon...
...I only wear boring white socks!
The beer can bank and socks are too fun. As to your coffee, men can be such pigs. 😺I saw an eye! Such an interesting week you had. I hope you have more nice weather to sit on your balcony with Der Froschkönig. Ich mag ihn sehr. Happy T Day
Tom, why?! Make life more fun!
____
CJ, the machine did this with the coffee 🤣
Der Froschkönig sagt danke 🐸
I am lately buying humorous socks.
That´s good!
I love those colorful socks!
I don't mind yelling. Meanness is another thing, and I do mind that.
Happy T Tuesday
Even socks can be fun. I once had a pair that had the individual toes, very strange. :) BBQs are my absolute favorite way of cooking.
Divers and Sundry, all neighbors around our condo always hear what he yells.
I know I should not care, but it is embarrassing...
____
Bill, yes, I think I still those toe socks. But I wore them only once.
A neighbor has shoes like that. Weird.
I enjoyed the drink money container. Cute indeed. I didn't get the milk and coffee joke at first until you mentioned it. It also qualifies for T Day.
LOVE those socks. The might also qualify for T Day. Enjoyed reading your calendar and drawn images, too. Have a super T Day, Iris. Thanks for sharing your calendar, the socks, and both drink entries, too.
Dear host, I won´t say what Ingo saw in the coffee, I like CJ´s view much better :-)
Yes, the socks sure are funny!
Those socks are fun and about beer: the last time I went to Dublin I bought at the Guinness Storehaouse 2 pairs of Guinness socks but ..... what a pity, I don't drink beer and alcohol!!!!
The same here with blogger: to comment I use 2 browsers and 2 different pc.
I usually wear black socks but sometimes like funny ones so those would be great. But like you my feet are small so they wouldn't work.
Hoe the good arrives soon.
That should say 'hope'. ;-)
Black Knight, I once had a Guinness in my life. Luckily it was near my home. We got SO TIRED, we got straight to bed.
Never again!
____
RedPat, yes I think I only saw the socks in men´s size. Mean, isn´t it?! I have Christmas socks, maritime socks.... etc.
All good here again... (yes, I thought of hope - ha, does not only happen to me! Clicking publish and only THEN seeing, uuups.
#autocorrect fails at WhatsApp, do I hate that!)
Your sausage looks delicious. I have never had cheese in a sausage but I can imagine it is tasty.
Such colorful illustrations on your journal this week. You said you are a translator now. Do you know all the languages or do you rely on software to help you?
Marriage is difficult and it is hard when the ones we love hurt us. I have found that forgiving everyday for the little things prevents resentment and bitterness from building up. Good for you for dwelling on the positives!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Definitely fun yellow socks.
I recently bought a new pair of pink slippers covered with three patchwork hearts, they make me smile :)
All the best Jan
PS Blogger and commenting is causing problems for many of us.
Cool socks!
You have covered so many topics in your journaling. Interesting.
Love the socks in the can! How fun is that? Great journaling. And I love Calvin & Hobbs! Happy T Day.
Kate, the sasage is yummy, but the cheese dripped into coal, and boy, that stinks! No idea how to do that next time...
Job-wise, I could translate, but why would I when there are machines for help?
Some documents are real long. too. You certainly still need to use your brain, other you and up in a sandbox ;-)
Those AIs do help but you still need a human.
I think it´s the job stress. That is no excuse, though....
____
Jan, the slippers sound as fun. Mine have a deer and the other his wife.
____
magiceye, life is colorful :-)
____
Sharon, to fun!
Those socks! At least people would be able to find you if you were lost and then also probably bring you beer lol. I don't like being yelled at either, hope everything works itself out. Sorry I'm late, I am having commenting problems with blogger.
Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
