Mural also taken in Emden. I think it´s near a school or university - there are so many names I have no idea who the artist is.... but it kinda looks like a train? To me it does.
I am pretty sure that VERY BIG thanks to the help of our host Ingo´s dream came true and he really managed to book two seats on The Ghan (we have no confirmation yet).
We do speak English, but we have a time-difference and Ingo each and every time when having a question ended up at a new person and started at zero. Two seats were left (they stated - we speak of the beginning of next year).
So, finally I asked Sami to take care and she did and now... I am "doomed" to be on that train from Adelaide to Perth with three-course-meals we can only have wee bits of as we are old and cannot eat much.
Also I don´t like sweets.
Also I see trains (trams) every day.
Be it on my work-PC or when I go outside (we live where the trams pass through).
And The Ghan does not even have a panto!
I dreamed they will show me the bogies. Ingo thinks if I ask nicely, they will.
Also we went there by car in 1995.
We saw a train like The Ghan in Salzgitter at ALSTOM last summer, I was in it.
My teamleader explained every bit to me (to his girlfriend´s and Ingo´s dismay 🤣) .
I even knew in an instant when translating Friday what "soudure bout à bout" means - the German word is "überkopfschweißen".
Ack, I´ve seen it all!!! Why for real now? OK, Ingo, for you...
This is for Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.
Henry 🦁´s wife 🐱
The Ghan, Missy. Don´t make it bad...
Let´s hope the money is not gone and it will be fun - we might meet nice people!
I so hope, cause we will be stuck in a train for three days!!!

The mural is colourful, very futuristic...I can't see a train there though, lol
I'm sure you'll enjoy your trip on the Ghan.
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.
I think I see trains everywhere now! lol...
...I would love to have that hanging on our wall.
A most colorful mural, Iris. "Doomed" to three meals a day. Two more than I eat and I have to fix it, too. It sounds like paradise to me!
Tom, you would need to rob that ;-)
Or I can send you, just let me know (Parrot says hi from the kitchen, ummm... hair saloon).

Elizabeth, no! It´s 9 meals, actually - who can eat that much???
Very cool mural. Once you said it looked like a train, i could see that, too.
I wouldn't see a train in that if you hadn't said so, Iris.
could be fun-find out if you have meal choices too. great mural find can't figure out what it is though smile
I rode a train from New York to Washington DC back in 1987. It took hours to get there. Boring! I prefer to fly.
An abstract train mural, how different and amazing.
Good mural
That is an interesting mural, of course I'm in love with your lions!
Train journeys specially in India are fun, terrifying and very interesting!
I will check but am pretty sure The Ghan is the train that goes north and south from Adelaide to Alice Springs and Darwin. The Indian Pacific goes between Adelaide and Perth. They are not the same train for sure. Is there another option so you don't have to take the three course meals?
You do work for the BEST team!
How long is the Indian Pacific train journey?
65 hours
Indian Pacific in numbers:
Average length of train 878m (includes two locomotives and 35 carriages)
Average weight of train 1710 tonnes
Length of track 4,352km
Length of journey 65 hours Sydney to Perth – 4,352 km
Average speed of train 85km/hr (max speed 115km/hr)
My train journeys have been a few hours long.
