I tried coal again and what better motive than Henry?

With this sweet, friendly face I join Nicole´s FFO.
I had some smiles this week luckily, too, with which I join Annie.
We have a low workload and I have tons off overwork-ours from before, so I am "on hold" - I have to be there but can do private stuff as it´s only 7 steps from my work-to my private PC and hence I enjoyed:

Ingo said he read somewhere Peter Lustig "hated" kids! Bummer!
He explained the world to my generation with such a soothing voice and in an interesting, funny way, it made me smile SO BIG seeing him on screen (he passed 2016, and "Lustig" (Funny) was his real name!).
And how could I not love him? He was actually an electronics engineer, just like Ingo (sadly Ingo has no soothing voice, LOL).
"Öko"s were a new species in the 1970´s who cared about the environment.
And guess what I found:
I was delighted to see the real plants, Spring is here.

Why do people do that?!
Just this week I met neighbor F. He asked if it´s OK if he has a smoke.
We talked like forever and when the ciggie was smoked he threw it to the ground, put it out with his foot, picked it up and put it in the trash.
In Riddagshausen he often visits the oldest tree of Braunschschweig, there is a bench. Ciggie-butts all around. He picks them up and puts them in the rubbish bin nearby (I hope he wears glovies, huhhh, you never know what you pick up also!).

Lustig looks familiar. Funny he must have always worn those overalls.
LOVE your cute little Henry both in black and white and in color.
Enjoyed the dandelion you drew and the photo (sad a cig butt was in it).
Peter was a familiar figure for a whole generation, or two - sad my Nieces miss out on all the programs (TV on demand they use).
The dandelion was from the TV-screen from back then:-)
Today it´s "more modern" and yes, we still watch it!

Peter Lustig sounds like a show from Boston in the late 1950s and early 1960s hosted by Big Brother Bob Emory. But Bob was rather serious. We toasted the President with a glass of milk at the end of the show. It was rumored he didn't like kids. After a show and while still on a live mic which he forgot about, it's rumored he said: That ought to keep the little bas🤬 happy. 🤣

The dandelions in our yard,which we often pull out, will be very happy this year because we are going to do “Happy Pollinator May,” meaning we let the grass and weeds grow to encourage pollinators. We already avoid chemicals on the grass. Happily, smoking has become less common so smokers don’t make as much ugly trash as they did in the past.

Here you also see older people pick up litter and palce it in the bin. Too bad others can't do such a simple thing. Enjoy Spring!!
Like you I do not understand why people drop cigarette butts or any rubbish for that matter and that includes people who do not pick up their dog poo, there is no excuse and they obviously have no respect for the environment. I clicked back to 2015 and loved seeing Ingo riding on Henry :)
I don't know what I would miss if I left Adelaide. The kids and grandkids of course, maybe the long white beaches, some with clifftops to walk along, I would miss those, blue sky that goes on forever. Sunshine almost every day, but I wouldn't miss the heat waves of summer.

It is indeed sad that smokers leave their butts on the ground. It is so easy to drop them in a bin. Some are just so lazy.
Dandelions can be a real problem in England, but they have lots of uses too. And I thin they make a lovely splash of colour. Have a happy week. Kate x
Henri is always adorable especially when you are his creator. Love the dandelion ... they tell you to let the dandelions grow because they are the first flowers for the pollinators(bees) and we must do all we can to save our bees ... no bees, no food, no us :(
We didn't have Peter Lustig here, we had Mr. Rogers instead. A calming soothing personality and he taught my children a lot of good things. I wouldn't believe that Perter hated kids ... stick to your good memories of him.

Henry is the star of the show! Especially in colour.
Interesting to read about Peter Lustig. I had not heard of him. The programs we watched as children will be with us all our lives. Fortunately they were quite educational. Of course when I was a child in the fifties, there wasn't much tv. Only one children's program on Wednesday afternoon, which all the neighbourhood children watched at our neighbour's house.
