It´s A Sunny Day (But Cold)

So far it´s sunny and first flowers pop up, finally!

My parent´s garden always was full of snowdrops around this time.

And soon it will be warm enough to enjoy a ride maybe (not me, with all the superfast e-bikes it´s no fun on a normal bike, it´s dangerous).

These won´t look so sad very much longer (I hope).

Reckon  most will stay home - yesterday was "funny". Our glorious Chancellor really said she is sorry for the chaotic way she sends us from lockdown to hard  lockdown, not so hard lockdown...

What´s a stupid sorry worth when so many people loose jobs, contacts and all - come up with a proper concept against Corinna, "leader", you!

Henry 🦁 and his siblings...

... and warmer weather!

I've never seen a snowdrop, except in photos. Your flowers are beautiful, though. Looks like spring is everywhere you look. it's cold here, too and rainy and windy and did I mention COLD? I wish we were in lockdown. Our governor has even lifted our mask mandate. SO stupid.

WHAT?! No masks?! That at least warms your face ;-) Seems like spring is really still sleeping.

Comfort yourself, Iris, no easing here either! But I think it's the best decision

...hop on has style!

Bertiebo, it´s cold everywhere around here, it seems. One warmer day, one...

____

Laurie, flowers and first signs of the cold darkness ending is always wonderful, right?

Tom, yes I thought it´s worth sharing (though I think it´s rather heavy. I have a lightweight boys´-bike from the hardware store, not as pretty but easy to drive.)

Iris Flavia said...

P.S. Tom... the girls´-bike was heavier, hence I chose that one.

Your spring is weeks ahead of ours.

William, it´s cold! (OK, you might declare 3C warm ;-)...)

What a glorious sight, all those blooms. Spring is definitely on the way! I wish our leaders would be able to enforce lockdowns. We sorely need them, even if they are lifted and then back. Our numbers are soaring and people are being very stupid out and about. I'd love if they'd all just stay in!

Iris Flavia said...

Jeanie, yes, temps rise in the arvo at least, yipeeee.

Well. Restrictions are what we need, but not this chaos. And... the immune system needs to see the outside to remain strong, so actually people should go outside - with proper distance. Merkel destroys our economy. Kids and old people suffer the most by having no contact...

It may be stupid but at least she is trying to be safe for you. Here in the US many states have NEVER enforced masks or distancing. Here in my town a lot of people just don't care and never followed the rules. Now more and more states are opening up. It is crazy stupid and we will pay the price for it. Now the flowers look lovely and yest there are signs of spring. Here is ti raining and ohhh so cold. Stay warm and safe.

Nicole, I think it´s sad a "leader" fails for 12+ months (again) and not take any consequences but still get a very, very high amount of money...
If I fail a test I get fired (happened).

Kathy, yes, spring is on the way, off to the correct 😁 and the video works, too!
WOW this looks like hard work! Thank you for showing!!!

My parents had snowdrops in their garden. Lovely flowers and the bunnies, chicks, and eggs banner made me smile. I'm singing with Henry and his siblings for warmer weather.

Iris Flavia said...

CJ, thank you, we can need any voice available :-)

I wish we had the leadership to put us into a national lockdown. Instead more and more states open up and don't enforce any masks, social distance etc. It's so darn stupid. Too many people don't care and behave as if the pandemic were already over, thus only lengthening the whole thing. This has been going on since the start of the pandemic and that's why we lost so many people - way too many of them. Germany has done so much better in that regard. I am fully vaccinated by now, but I am still very cautious.

Nice to see all the spring flowers. Beautiful photos!

The flowers are coming out here too! We are still in semi lockdown.

I actually think your “leader” is probably right, sorry! And I wish our whole country would have one rule. Each state is different, There is no consistency. At least now we have a president who knows Covid is a real threat. It’s not fun for anybody that’s for sure.

Cold sunny days are my favourite kind Iris 😉 Lovely spring captures today 🌼 So sorry about your lockdown again, it must feel like it will never end for you xx

It's hard for any country to know when to enforce lockdowns and when to ease up, some juggling is necessary when new outbreaks occur. I think it is harder in countries where so many refuse to stay home or wear masks.

NICE spring photos Iris. I'm still waiting for more than mud, but mud is way better than snow! Happy Friday.
