I have an idea, why he´s late, turn on the sound, I give you the translation of Herbert Grönemeyer´s song "Mambo" right underneath (see, two posts today, boy am I bored!)
I do hate nothing more then being late The sun burns And it's hot in the car A horn concert as of a thousand trumpets I want to come to you Now I'm here Shit
Ah, I have been driving for hours Here so my rounds It drums the motors It booms in my ears I find no parking I come to you too late My darling You sit with coffee and cake And I have to look for further
At every corner standing police Lurking like Panther Ready to jump Here you can not park That you can forget They have have everything under control Far and wide
Oh, I have been driving for hours...
Car starts cooking Pulse to throw Will slowly panic Sweaty It is unbelievable So many cars Do they not have any home? I want to come to you
Addendum: 09:30 I called the company, maybe I got the wrong Thursday?
Nope, he found a parking space a couple of minutes later.
And I think you would freak out learning how I write right now: In our kitchen our heating system gets checked. Neither of us wears a mask - I asked and he said, "it´s OK, we keep the distance", and mind you, none of us being in the risk group, it´s OK.
Key word: DISTANCE! Corinna won´t jump 5 meters, right 😉
And since Ingo´s not here to help with the heavy microwave and the guy had to pull up his shirt and move it alone, Ingo made him this:
I hate it when people are more than a few minutes late. I'm willing to cut slack for time or traffic or problems but a lot of times, it's not that! I always try to be early! But what a fun post!
You would not like the place where I spend my summers. There, people will generally only commit to a day, not a time. "I'll be there on Friday." You try to press them further, and you might get "in the morning."
We have a phrase here called "Filipino Time" because Filipinos are so late! even on simple gatherings, when we want everybody to be at a certain place at a certain time, we would have to adjust it by 2 hours so they will arrive on time, like, Ok guys let's meet at 8am (so 10 am we will be complete by then) HAHAHAHA Very very very bad.
LOVE The shirt origami that Ingo Did! I wanna know how to do that! hahaha
Interesting heating system, never heard of that before. Hope it is all fixed up for you! I figure if they are going to be late, they should at least have the courtesy to call you.
Is that your fridge hung up on the wall? Or is that the heating system which just looks like a fridge? I'm always early or on time too, I hate being late.
I think that's the case with most tradesmen though, here they are pretty good but I"m a bit old school I think if someone has an appt to be there, then a phone call saying otherwise would be nice manners.

...I like to be on time and have others be on time too, but I'm old enough to know that this rarely happens.
Laurie, one has to, right :-)

Tom, mostly t happens, luckily! This was really annoying (though I understood).
Delays do happen.
I am German... I am always, as my Dad taught me rather 10 minutes early than 5 minutes late...
Ah in INdia IST (Indian Standard Time) is sarcastically called Indian Stretchable Time.
You at least got humor!

That's like our internet hookup guy, he showed up extremely late but what are you going to do. Smile, let him do his work and be glad that it's over.
I hate being late so I am usually early! ;-)

I'm with you. I hate being late. I will stress out so much if I end up being late. I hate waiting for repairmen/women too. And I'm not even German.

I was sure I had left a comment here, but obviously not. Nice of Ingo to give the man a generous tip.
