T STands For Polka DoTs For T And Summer

Care for a cuppa with these two?

Yes, I´m joining Elizabeth and Bleubeard´s "T Stands For Tuesday".

Food-wise I cooked according to the cold weather:

Ingo really did silently make "hmmmm" 😁

Art-wise I fell on my Popo...

But at least the colors promise Spring!

I also have a hint of Summer, guess what I found as free give-away in a box in the street!!!

It comes with polka dots and a cute detail, too!

Sadly the other dress I ordered and waited months for thanks to Corinna is too big and gets send back 😪 - but at least I have a partner-look pic with the door stopper Ingo presented me with:

Another page of the week, I hardly dare to show you as it was Eileen, who inspired me to do this.
As Kathy and Elizabeth let us know... Eileen has passed, her surgery did not go well.
She was such a fit gal, doing yoga, H.i.i.T. and all!
But I kinda think I should continue with this. Maybe even because (not that I´m anything near her level). Good-bye, Eileen, life can be over in a blink of an eye, we always have to remember this and cherish every day... You were an inspiration and teacher to me.

The saying on top right: "Imagination is an ever-lasting Spring" - Friedrich Schiller.

And (for me).... what a week! Maybe I can make you smile: Monday not only Hathi arrived, Bro called and I still enjoy a very cute book. After failing to get an item at one place I went to a place far away, on foot, in very cold, but sunny weather and succeeded. On the way back a woman on a bike passed me by, slowed down, turned around, looked at me - and smiled big. 🥰
I thought.. huh?! But then ... yips, Gurri and my happy hat/bonnet!

Sunday Die Maus celebrated her 50th Birthday, oh, what a great show!!!
Die Maus / The Show with the Mouse is  "a children's series on German television that has been called 'the school of the nation' ... the average age of viewers was (is) 39" (wiki) - we watch it every Sunday.
I grew up with...

... and the wonderful...

Well, OK, to be honest I probably started watching this  at age 3, that makes 46 years. But what the heck:

Henry 🦁? You found him with Polka-dots, didn´t you?

Kale Yuk!
That's a very cute door stopper and the dress with pocket detail is nice too.

Bertiebo said...

Aah I see you love polka dots. So do I. I had the same teapot. Had.

Iris Flavia said...

River! LOL, If you ever visit I, ME will make some kale for you and I bite my butt if you don´t like it! Have you ever tried the Northern German way?
Yes, I´m truly in love with that door stopper and can´t wait for summer!

____

Bertiebo, oh. My teapot has a huge crack, too. Do you have access to Thomas Phillips? Here last time they still had some, in blue and red.

I like seeing your dots. I love them too. I had some bowls and cups like your teapot.
The leaves are beautiful too! You are very creative! I can't wait for the summer to see your dresses collection.
Today it is raining and gray! No sun to be seen in the following days ...
It's more autumn than spring outside!
We can shop by appointment ... so idiot! Only 2 people per floor, and the shop time is 10 minutes. You must reserve time in advance!
Because of all these situations and the gray weather, I had trouble getting out of bed today ...
I wish you a nice day my 🐘
Ich hab dich liiiieb mein ... xoxo

Ella, guess. My teapot has a huge crack. 🐘
And, no. I planned to have the structure of the leaves as "stamp", but they refused big. So all that came out was colors.
Hahaha, Ask Grace. You mostly see me in the same skirt all over summer - I´ll try to do better, though. Funniest job offer was "fashion adviser", you had me laughing in tears 🤣
Yep. Yesterday it said sunny all week, noooo. Grey, not even rain, just grey, 3C.
Same here, don´t know if it´s reduced to 10 minutes (how stupid is that???!!) But you need an appointment, too.
Oh, make yourself a nice cuppa and go outside anyways, it´ll do you good. Or drive to the ocean? (Take pics!)
Ich hab dich liiiieb mein 🦋 xoxo

Laurie, nah, it really went crap this time, art-wise, but I have another idea what to do with the Spring colors 😁
I do have a sewing machine, but I´m a total beginner and have no idea how to make that smaller, so I´ll sent it back. The material is also very heavy, I don´t like that. So much for clothes online-shopping, dumb idea.
I stll have the door-girl, right 😉

...kale is something that I've never had. Am I missing something?

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, Tom, big! At least the Northern German one!

The koala saucer is neat!

I love that your cute door stopper matches your dress, even the colour .
I have never eaten Kale, I don't like the very dark green cabbage either, being forced to eat it as a child I think put me off so I always think Kale will taste the same!!
Love your spotty Teapot!

Tea bag holders can really be cute -- I like the koala one. Waiting ages for a package is really frustrating. Sadly, that's why amazon.com does so well here: they have their own delivery network so you only have to wait a couple of days, and if something is wrong (like too big) can return it very easily. I thought the German postal system was efficient, so it's surprising that you waited months for the unsatisfactory dress. (Our postal system has been intentionally ruined by Trump, and there are too many other disasters that have to be fixed first.)

I am with you about that second dress. My daughter, the fashionista of the family, would say send it back. But cute cute find. I like your painted leaves, and I love those bright colors. They do work as background, so now you can add something else to them. Have a great T day, and enjoy the kale. I'm waiting for the snow to eventually melt so I can go out and plant some kale seeds. Yum for me. Not for the hubby though. Hugs-Erika

Lovin' the polka dot tea pot, and the polka dotted skirt is adorable. I have never had kale. Your colors are perfect for welcoming warmer weather.

That Eileen inspired you is a tribute to her. What a lovely thing. Happy T Tuesday!

I love, love, love your tea bag holder and your dotted tea pot. They brighten any room.

I grew kale one year, but you have to pick it young. I let mine sit too long and it got bitter.

I always love seeing your calendar pages. They make me smile. And I smiled at the free dress you got, as well as the door stop. Thanks for all these wonderful photos showing spring is on the way, your new dress, your polka dot teapot, and tea bag holder and Santa mug with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.

That kale meal looks interesting. I miss eating kale but it gives me the tummy troubles.
Love your journal pages this week. Great looking elephant on the top left page. That is great that you are now journaling due to her inspiration.
What a great dress to find for free. I love free things.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Yummy food and it looks like you had fun getting messy with those leaves. Your journal pages are fabulous, I always loved seeing Eileen's pages and I'm so glad that you were inspired by her to create a journal too. She will be very much missed and it will be lovely to be reminded of her each week as we look through your fun and colourful pages 😁. That elephant is wonderful, I think I can hear him from here ...lol! I noticed Henry on the wall too. Take care and Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x

You sure are ready for spring- and even summer with your dresses and those bright new paints! Cute door stopper along with your found dress- I love how your "partner" got in one of your photos:):)
A lovely way to remember dear Eileen. Your planner pages are so fun, and you will always remember her by her inspiration.

Polka dots! Never out of fashion and always make me think of Spring and Summer. Your polka dot dresses are so cute. Too bad one of them has to be returned. Your drawings in your planner are so enjoyable. I always loved Eileen's planner with the fun drawings. Awesome doorstop and Henry is awesome, too. Happy T Day

William, yes, couldn´t pass it.

____

Jan, sad I have to give the dress back.
Yes, when being forced to something as a child...

____

Mae, it came via amazon and still took ages...
LOL, how come others think Germans are efficient, advanced... we´re not. Merkel ruined a lot, too... too much, really. You only had that baby 4 years, we´re in the 16th!

____

magiceye, thank you :-)

_____

Kathy, sadly it was a fail with the stamps! I still have to learn a lot...

____

Susie, thank you, the door stopper I enjoy every day!

____

Erika, yes, looks like a bag, that thing, I don´t even want it in a smaller size. Yes, I didn´t throw the background away (yet, LOL). Still have kale on day 4!
Oh, you grow that yourself, great! Snow still not gone, brrrr.

____

Divers and Sundry, try kale, it´s yum! Yes, I´ll try and keep the journal up, if with a sad feeling.

____

Elizabeth, brightening a room is always good, huh!
Kale has to get frost (ours at least). Santy is so practical as in big! Thank you for hosting, dear.

____

Bill, really? I use that kettle for my tea always :-)

____

Kate, I let the kale cook for 2 hours, let it cool and reheat it for 1 1/2 hours, even Hubby can eat it and he´s not supposed to eat kale.
It´s such a sad coincidence with the journaling, is it...
You find a lot of free things these Corinna-days!

____

Jeanie, yes to both!

____

Jo, oh-oh, "under pressure", but I´ll do my best with the journal. Thank you for the compliment on the elephant, I think it was but luck it came out good! Hugs x

____

RedPat, yes :-)

____

Linda, I´m glad many of you said cute first dress, I really send the second back. Yes, I sure will remember Eileen this journaling way...

____

CJ, yes, polka dots are fun! Ingo got me a "summer-Gurri"! Weee, now I really have to improve my sketching! Henry says thank you :-)

_____

Margaret, yes, I love that dress, summer, I can´t wait! Hope we get a proper one...

____

Dora, how cool about your Uncle!

I just can not do Kale. Only mixed in my smoothies. Love the polka dot tea pot and dress. You are so cute in those dresses and I love the socks. LOL I like the art too. Very abstract. It is very sad about Eileen. So many love her. Have a wonderful day.

When it comes to receiving a PayPal refund, two things influence the amount of time it takes for payment to arrive: the PayPal system and the human aspect.
