Perth XXV - Really Bye-Bye Now...

I gotta get out of this, right? Of this saying good-bye-thingy. Guess you can´t see posts of this no more?
Then skip this ;-) - No, don´t!
Pic-galore to come, as said, I´m bad at saying good-bye.

So here, pic above, we got our postille and our marriage is valid in both countries.
We were relieved and went for a stroll.
You know, bu-huu, a "last" stroll.

That´s life, huh?
From visiting "online friends" to making friends, to finding out you click in real life, to revisiting this beautiful place...

... that has changed so very much from last time and that changes even more.
Be that good or bad, at some places I find it sad....

Like... for crying out loud, no?

Yep, on the way to Northbridge - after a lunch with H and her already adult Son J.

And certainly we ended up with all the very thirsty construction workers...

...at

The Brass, or, well The Brass Monkey, right? ;-)

Where you can see the Cats driving by or...

had the very rare chance to see me with a smartphone, thank you , H! Here I don´t need one.
Here I have internet, a phone, a cellphone, a car (theoretically atm)... weird as it is, my broken foot hurts again like on the first day. But that´s not the story, right!

Perth...

Ingo went to Woolies to get us some water - yep. Not worth to be mentioned, huh. But I can´t "go" there now... way, way too far away.

And nope, I can´t get away from admiring this bow:

... this blue sky.
The architecture...

... said pace.

See the people down there?
Relaxing, in the shadow.

In my mind I was back to our life. December. Cold. And, seesh. How many e-mails at work despite notice of absence (no, I´m not that important, still it was quite full and this time I even have no such notice, gahhhh).

Ingo so wanted to have a last beer at the Brass, so we went, but our minds...

... or mine, at least. Sad to leave, thankful to have been here.

Now, I really have no idea how this pic happened:

From inside a Cat?
It´s not a rainbow, I know, but still this pic makes me happy.

We went back to Warwick where our friend H picked us up.

And finally we gave our love-lock into other hands:

Their Son has the key, so it can move with them in case they move.

We had a yummy dinner together and around eight they drove us to the airport - thanks so heaps, guys!
Our flight was at ten so we had plenty of time to say good-bye. (We checked in at about 9:00)
As mentioned I´m not good at this, nor is their Son.
Proven here, H laughs, but we...

Now I can laugh about this pic, hope L can, too :-)
Guess he is kind of an empath, very caring! We said a lot of "I´ll miss you"'s. And, well, I do. I hope he has better stuff to do! ;-)

After a horrible, long flight and some 3 hours at Dubai airport, another horribly long flight - all without sleep - QANTAS, how can you delegate your service to Emirates, they are horrible!
I don´t expect an answer.
I made the "efford" - and it was one - to get QANTAS Australia, not Germany - and told them about our flights, clicked the option "answer" and never got one :-(

Well after that we arrived in Frankfurt.

We smuggled in Jerky and Oil Spray and waited some other whopping three hours to catch the train to Braunschweig. There we got a taxi and were finally home, in a cold home. Brrr. After being awake for from 0:30-07:20 German time, don´t make me count, waaaay too long and fully awake.

Just to find we need to walk over 3 km the next morning to get my car from my team-leaders place cause Ingo´s car had died in the cold!

It was a great holiday, we had heaps of fun, thanks to every one of you :-)

(Let me be a woman for a change (men keep telling me I´m none) ... I had more than this one dress! I wear it on all the pics, though, weird, no?
I even have to top that.
It´s a cheapy, so it´s not a loss in my purse, but.
I bought it twice! OK, three times, but twice in red! Must´ve been the heat!)

We seriously think about coming back soon.

This was a wonderful holiday.
We made friends from online to real, we had fun, we got married - what else can you wish for?

It's always sad to say goodbye, but you will be back, so it's see you soon! And you have all these good memories...

I have heard other people say the same Iris, Perth is a super place to live.

Oh dearest Iris! That is so touching, this post it! i really like the simple things that you get to appreciate because I also share that so much. I love the padlock with your name and Ingo's on it, super cute!!! And just like you, Goodbyes are so hard for me but I don't avoid them just like other people. How do I explain that, uhm I mean if I had to say goodbye and not just escape from it and just cut ties at all or not meet on the last day, I will surely choose the goodbyes because it's the only way you can show your last appreciation for a person or a place. I remember staying at my Uncle's friend in China. It was the first time I saw him and it was just 4 days I was with him plus he speaks 0 English and I speak 0 Hokkien so it was hard to communicate but really it's the heart that speaks and I remember I cried on the airport when I said goodbye to him. I hope I'll see him again someday.

Sending you hugs and I am hoping you can visit Perth again dear Iris, it's your city too, just like Braunschweig :)

Oh, dearest Stevenson, bet we cry our hearts out by saying good-bye if big Corinna ever lets you visit us!
4 days and only by heart, wow. Touching but complicated, too, I reckon!
Oh, define little things, it´s the heart! 🧡
